Was ready to give up hope. Something told me to try again, was able to get in contact with a trainer (Charles), and schedule a training session. Started off with determining how unhealthy and big I was , (was pretty big and pudgy), and they encouraged me and let me know that there was room for improvement. I. Was assigned to work with Khendal, the other trainer there, and over the last few months, she and Charles have worked diligently for me to form my ideal body. (Luke Cage baby!) I'm stronger, uh... maybe faster, and my stamina has increased. Definitely can lift more than on day one. To throw in a tip, nutrition is a huge part of working out. If you work out and eat an entire cake after, you aren't making progress and feeding you muscles what they crave. Protein. Lots and lots of protein. This gym does cost a pretty penny, but the support and the desire to become your best self and be fit and healthy is there. Thus, gotta give them 5 stars.

When I started I was worried about the money and whether or not I would be wasting my time. The coaches and the members are incredibly friendly and the workouts are tough, but the coaches are dedicated to ensuring that your technique is perfect before they push you. That sold me! I thought I was a decent athlete, but I quickly found out that some of my form was off for some exercises and it caused me pain. Once the coaches fixed my form I was able to continue with ZERO pain! I had a knee injury for about 6 weeks that prevented me from squatting and the coaches modified the workouts for me to accommodate my injury! I was able to continue to workout while my injury heeled. Amazing! I have seen incredible results going to this gym with the help of the coaches and experienced members. The MVMNT culture has motivated me to come to gym consistently because I have fun not because I feel obligated to come. I like how I am pushed to go faster to beat myself or to add a little weight because I don't realize I am stronger, but the coaches do. I have lost 15 pounds in 6 months. I am faster. I am stronger. I eat better. And I feel motivated to continue to lead a healthy lifestyle because of the MVMNT.

They're wrapped up in messing with their phones at the front desk rather than greeting you, much less walking around and putting weights away or picking up trash. But it's obviously because the management hasn't set the expectations for them. Weights are left everywhere, the music from the classrooms is blaring, young hommies leave the door to basketball court open so you can hear the squeaking shoes & yelling over your headphones but also they love to walk out in the gym SHIRTLESS bouncing their basketballs. I mentioned this once to a trainer (who looks like hes never worked out a day in his life) and basically told me it wasn't his problem The gym is ridiculously busy, you'll never get on the only cable set. So I went to cancel and was told I have to come back 8-5 mon-fri (You know, when the rest of us are at work). I took off work early, walked in, a lone scruffy dude eating a nutrition bar. The convo: Me: "Is the operations manager here" Him: mmm Humm (still chewing his nutrition bar) Me: may I speak to him? Him: mmm hummm (still chewing) Me: um, ok, are YOU the operations manager? Him: mmm Humm (still chewing) Me: I'd like to cancel my membership. Him: ok. .....why? I listed my reasons. Rather than apologize or try to save a member or even take some constructive criticism, he argued with me. I just said "hey, you asked" he said "ok, you're canceled". Not a word further. At least he was rudely eating a nutrition bar. Two gals the other day were eating ice cream at the front desk. Nice image for someone going to the gym to loose weight! But the manager, Jason, WHAT A JERK. The ONLY reason this gym does well is its busy location. The staff is atrocious. NEVER LA Fitness again, never.

This is probably one of the worst gyms I have ever been a member of…read more The facility is consistently unclean. There is often no soap available in the showers, the sauna and spa areas are filthy, paint is peeling throughout the facility, many of the machines are old and outdated, and the pool has not been properly heated for months. The pool was originally scheduled to be closed for maintenance from mid-March through April 16. However, as of May 29, it is still not fully operational. The heater remains broken, leaving the water uncomfortably cold. Throughout this process, members have repeatedly been told the issue would be fixed "tomorrow," "next week," "over the weekend," or "today." We were also told they were waiting to locate a pool heater repair specialist. Unfortunately, the promised timelines have continually come and gone without resolution, leaving many members frustrated and disappointed. After months of dealing with the pool issues, I began raising my concerns with management. The blonde manager who works the front desk during the late mornings was kind enough to refund my April membership dues due to the ongoing problems. However, when I requested a refund for May, I was told she had gotten into trouble for issuing too many refunds and could no longer assist me. At that point, I decided to cancel my membership. I do not believe anyone should have to continue paying for services that are not being properly provided. I contacted corporate, filed a formal complaint regarding the pool situation and refund request, and closed my account. I have since joined the YMCA and have been much happier with my experience. Until significant improvements are made to this location, I would strongly encourage others to consider alternative fitness facilities. Hopefully management will either invest in meaningful upgrades or take the necessary steps to address the many ongoing issues affecting members. What is most disappointing is that they were apparently willing to lose a paying customer rather than refund $39.00 for a service that has not been fully available for months. In the end, that decision cost them far more than a single refund--it cost them a member.

You can bring your own lock and place your things into a locker as well. Huge parking lot outside. Looks like parents can drop off their kids at the kiddy area while excersizing. Nice! Planet Fitness - Member Experience & Leadership Concerns…read more (2/5) It is deeply concerning when paying members who are experiencing housing insecurity are subjected to harassment within a facility that markets itself as a "Judgment Free Zone." Whether driven by rumors or predatory behavior, targeting vulnerable individuals who are simply trying to utilize a gym they pay for is unacceptable -- and the response from certain members of leadership has been equally troubling. Staff should consistently uphold Planet Fitness's core values: friendliness, non-judgment, cleanliness, and professionalism. When members feel empowered to approach staff demanding that someone be removed solely because of their housing status -- and leadership entertains those complaints rather than protecting the targeted member -- it represents a serious failure of both culture and responsibility. To be clear: an unhoused paying member who is not violating any policies and is minding their own business has every right to be there. Anyone who harasses them should be the one whose membership is at risk, not the other way around. I have witnessed and heard accounts of certain managers threatening memberships against individuals who were themselves the victims of harassment. That is not sound leadership -- it is a liability. Harassment without cause can carry legal consequences, and when leadership enables or ignores it, they become the liability. Not everyone is equipped to lead, and those who are not should be retrained or repositioned accordingly. The same applies to staff who mirror poor leadership. Planet Fitness has the infrastructure to be a safe, welcoming space for everyone. But when predatory, slanderous, and dangerous behavior goes unchecked, that mission is undermined entirely. Accountability must start at the top.
