This may be one of the last places that still uses coins and tickets, and it makes a big difference. It's more engaging and satisfying for kids compared to the card-based game places where they can't tell what they have left or how much they've won. They also aren't trying to profit immensely from the prize counter, so kids can actually feel like they've won something after a couple of hours of play. Blazer Tag is a gem in Austin! I like the out of this world theme and the entire experience is set up to make sure you have fun no matter what. They have laser tag, video games, and even a bar and TVs for the adults. The employees really care about making sure you have fun and I think that is what stood out to me the most. They were very responsive, made sure to explain laser tag and the purchase options really well, and there was always someone available to answer a question or keep an eye on things in the laser tag arena and the gaming area. I am an out of towner and wish there was one near me! They have options for every budget and whether you play games or are an adult chaperone you will enjoy your time here. Had a blast doing laser tag here! We went in a group of 7. If you're looking for an activity for a large group of people, this would be perfect. It's a huge room that's 3 stories tall, and could fit way more people than 7. They said it's the 3rd largest laser tag room in Texas and the 5th largest in the country! The ramps/bridges are like a maze and make it really fun. Considering the height of the peek holes, it's more built for adults than kids, but kids could play on the ground level. It was $20.80 for two games for us, each game lasted about 20 minutes (it feels like longer) and we were tapped out after 2 games. First round we did individual and second round we did 2 randomized teams. You can't make a reservation unless it's a birthday party, but we waited less than 30 minutes to play our first game. You can play the arcade games while you wait. There didn't seem to be many people playing laser tag actually. The arcade is small but has fun games. You purchase coins and get paper tickets, the old-fashioned way! The only confusing part to me was the gems, I didn't really understand how that worked and the intro video barely touched on it. The scoring system is more complicated than expected (the employee didn't seem to know how it worked either) and they give you your score cards at the laser tag counter after your game. Went for a work event and it was so fun! I didn't pay anything so can't speak on the prices. Food was modern pizza, blazer maze is huge and it's an intense game (you will get sweaty)! Blazer laser stood out from its description of a multi-level arena. It's like a very high tech game of hide and seek. Also, it's HUGE! Plenty of fun spots to hide, powerups to acquire, and fun to be had. At around $7 per person per 15 minute game - it was a great deal! This was on a Thursday where they have specials and just about everything. Their equipment and blasters are clean and high tech. I love that they give you actual coin tokens, and you get actual tickets unlike other places which have resorted to using those plastic cards. It's fun. It's nostalgic. I was expecting to have fun, maybe even partially decided to come here as part of a funny little bit for my friends and I. I could have never expected a 3 story arena that was full of very energetic and competitive adults. We were there towards the end of the day on a Friday night and it was most fun I have ever had. A game of laser tag at Blazer Tag is twenty minutes of being in primal fight of flight mode. The people in here take this game so serious and it is so incredibly fun. The workers were also so sweet and very adamant that we didn't know laser tag until we have played it here. They could not have been more right. I have never dropped and rolled more in my life. I am slightly afraid of the person I became in that arena, in the BEST way possible. The prices were amazing, the ambiance was nostalgic. It is the BIGGEST laser tag arena in Texas, you cannot miss it. It will ruin all other laser tag arenas for you. If anyone visits me here they will be going to Blazer Tag wether they want to or not. Perfect location for hosting a party. The general manager and entire staff were amazing and they genuinely care about making your experience memorable. Some of the kids were a little nervous about playing laser tag, but within a few minutes they were all having a blast. As a parent I felt at ease knowing there's staff inside the arena when the game is going on to make sure the little ones are okay. The kids and adults enjoyed the pizza even our pickiest eater had 2 slices. The hostess made sure our food was brought out to us at the time that was most adequate for our party. She made sure there was plenty of cutlery and drinks the entire time. The facility is a little older, but the party room was clean and the hosted would often go in to make sure everything was okay and still tidy. The bathrooms were also very clean. It is pure fun and nostalgia. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are attentive and know what they are doing. The arcade portion is a bit small, but did you really come for the mini bowling? (You should, it is worth it). They have Tetris and PacMan but would benefit from a pinball machine or two. The food is exactly what you would expect. That is to say it's not good, but not necessarily overpriced. Again, you came here for blazer tag. They have lots of specials. They do take card, but make sure to bring cash just in case. OK, I've never been laser taggin', but our family of 4 (2 boys: 6 & 10) went here after we yelped a ton of laser tag businesses. We had just jumped off the plane from San Diego and it was my 10 yr old's b-day. We went on a Saturday night about 9:30 - 10:15ish. There were alot of people (as there should be!) and we got in a game after waiting 20min. It was awesome. There were old and young playing and everyone did really well together. I pretty much sucked at the game, but oh, for a chance to shoot my kids over and over! Eh, eh, eh. No, I'm sure they had an even better time getting me and their dad! It's a corner spot in a huge parking lot.... And indeed the LARGEST LASER TAG arena I have seen ever! Had a lot of fun! Wishing I had the option to eat first we had to figure out that we had to play both rounds of laser tag before eating or drinking (other than water) anything.... Bathrooms were terrible... 2 of 3 sinks clogged, toilet paper all over the floor, and when they mopped so much water left on the floor even with a caution sign I literally hydroplaned across the floor. Finally our party was booked for 8:30... we waited in line for 20 minutes before I had to walk up to a different team member to get assistance... still waited in the line to get directed to a 3rd team member... Vincent was an amazing and knowledgeable host! But we did not have more than 10 minutes to actually play the arcade games... they didn't have all our food ready so that was even less time on the arcades... we ended up with food in to go boxes and lots of coins bc we never even got to the games.... We had a private birthday party for our 11 year old. This is the second year we have done a private party at Blazer Tag. They do a wonderful job. We had the whole building just for our guests. They are very flexiable in "making things work". For example, adusting to the number of guests, adding extra pizza if needed, refilling the drinks. The manager was great! I thought this place was going to be like a chuckE Cheese but for older kids...man, was I wrong. There's no ball pit or other weird little kid stuff here. It's completely family friendly, I saw little kids running the course with their parents, but I also saw middle and high schoolers, too. I was with a group of adults, teens, and elementary kids from my Krav Maga Gym for our monthly meetup. We had a great time. We liked it so much that we went through the course twice. Positives: All ages are welcome and if you have kids that have a handicap, they should still be able to play as it is a multi-level arena with lots of ground space. If they are in a wheelchair, there are loads of arcade games in the main room for them to play instead of run the course. So I wouldn't worry too much about having a birthday party there and inviting kids of all abilities because it'll probably work out well. They "load" the lazers with enough ammo and life so that you never run out during your time in the arena. Makes it just fun instead of stressful. Also, there is food, so you could drop off older kids and let them run the course a few times and eat pizza and just be a kid a for the evening in a safe environment. Negatives: I'm not sure how much other lazer tag places charge per game, but I felt it was a bit pricey. Although it is a large multi-level arena, in Austin, that does provide other perks, so maybe it is a completely fair price. It would probably be more fun if there were a max of 30 or 40 people allowed to play instead of 50 or whatever the number is, only because you keep running into other players and get tagged pretty frequently - sometimes to the point that you can't use your lazer on anyone because you keep getting lit up. If you can get to a high point, get there and stay there if you want to win. If you don't care about winning then just run everywhere. I would definitely go back and recommend it as a fun meetup for groups. read more

We live in Steiner Ranch and love this place. I had to mention this because we have been to countless birthday parties at places like Main Event, High 5, etc and we as a family prefer this place. The laser tag is 20 minutes long and the vests, along with the gun with screen, WORK! My kids have mentioned before how the laser tag equipment at other places don't light up and don't work. What I love about the laser tag room in particular is how it's set up as a maze with ramps going up and down and platforms to hide/peek thru. We had sooo much fun! Now the arcade is small but I love the amount of tickets we got. I am not kidding, but while eating pizza across from the Fishing Bowl, a 7 year old hit the jackpot of 1,000 tickets TWICE and then a second kid tried his luck and he hit the jackpot too after his second try. To me, it's all about the ticket payoff and this never happens at places like Main Event or High 5. My husband mentioned that the pizza was good and I gotta agree with him. I still remember how I would only eat hot pizza out of the oven at Main Event because when it gets cold it tastes bad. This is not the case with the pizza here. The only negative comment about their pizza would be that their pizza sauce is not fresh BUT I do love the cheese they use-yummy. We are planning on coming here at least once a month. They shared: We typically recommend children be 7 years or older to play, but younger children are allowed as long as they meet a few requirements. I really liked this place. I mean sure, it's a little south, and sure it smells like a teenage boy locker room once you step in, but it was a lot of fun. I went with a group of four, all of us 26 and older, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's cheaper after 10pm, FYI and I recommend doing two games, one just doesn't feel like enough. This place also has arcade games and some sort of skywalk thing that looked interesting. My friends were intrigued they've got a PS4 available as a prize, but you know how arcade games work, right? They're more luck than anything. The reason for the 3 stars? I'm not sure I'll be going back. While in line to buy our second game pass, my friend tried to be nice to the security guard who works there. She made the comment "Why don't you get to play too? You should play blazertag with us!" To which he replied, "Sure! And I'll use my real gun!" ..... we were a group full of POC. There was not a white person among us. Unsure what to do we just walked away, but we were aware this guard was watching us the whole time we were there.
