1st time visiting. The manager/owner? waited on us. We ordered the loaded fries (medium) and the slider/tender combo (hot). I wanted to taste the extra hot, but it's a rub, not a sauce. He gave me an extra tender so I could try it. The menu is limited to what they do best: chicken tenders. I like spicy food, at the edge of "too hot". I discovered that hot is my flavor. The extra hot was delicious, but the heat lingers (Trinidad scorpion peppers!). Overall, great food and great service. Recommended. read more

The rubber chicken beckons you to try its food that is no joke. I really enjoyed the experience at Blazin' Hot Chicken. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable, encouraging me to start with a comfortable spice level but come back and try something new. Be aware that anything about Hot requires a waiver to sign and for good reason, it's not called Blazin' Hot for nothing. The chicken is incredible, well seasoned, moist and cooked perfectly. It's absolutely delicious topped with the house sauce and accompanied by the seasoned waffle fries. I started with Medium and as someone who has an affinity with spicy food, it wasn't that spicy but had a good kick to it. I will try Hot next time. The slider combo came with two sandwiches was decently portioned for the price. The fries were cooked well although they weren't all crispy as I had a few that were soft. The seasoning is a nice touch and something I would love to replicate at home and it pairs nicely with the chicken. Food was so much better than what i was expecting. Absolutely delicious! Chicken is fried perfectly, i got mild and medium and felt like the medium was not too spicy at all. Juicy and spicy chicken at this spot but I wish there was more chicken included in the other featured menu items. My fiancée ordered the chicken-and-fries combo and the heat level was definitely impressive for a small spot in Lafayette. That said, my mac and cheese quesadilla left much to be desired. There were too many carbs and not enough chicken included in the wrap, plus the dish lacked a sour or tangy veggie like coleslaw or kimchi to balance out the flavors. My family and I are just leaving Blazin Hot Chicken!! We found the place through a Facebook Lafayette food group. We loved everything about it! The tenders were huge and you could pick your own spice level, there was, country (no spice), mild, medium, hot, and the next three required you to sign a waiver before eating. My husband and 13 year old son had the 3 tender combo and both chose hot seasoning. It started out mild but they said the heat really picked up! My 9 year old son had the mac and cheese wrap (plain/No pickles or sauce). This thing was huge! It had lots of mac and cheese and a chicken tender ( mild). He loved it. He saved half for later. I had the two sliders (medium). They were really good and big. I could only eat one slider. Everything came with seasoned waffle fries and drinks. The staff were so nice and helpful. Was not sure what to expect at 11 o'clock at night. Driving for work from New Orleans and had to stop here in Lafayette. Boy was I surprised! This place is surprisingly over the top. Incredible! I must say the building is beautiful from the outside! Very colorful and inviting murals. I went through the drive thru of this establishment only to see that the intercom didn't work. Since they are a new restaurant, I gave them grace. I pulled up to a friendly worker who took my order but told me go back in the drive thru line to pick up my order. I would have preferred to not wait in the line again but I politely obliged. I ordered the blazin' loaded fries and chose the blazin' hot spice level. I love spicy food so I considered it a challenge to try it at its hottest level. I signed the waiver and was promptly given the fries. The fries were quite delicious but unfortunately I was really disappointed in the spice level on the chicken. It was a very mild spice. I am open to trying other menu items though. read more

Brightly lit restaurant with murals all over the walls! Open and airy vibe!! Fantastic staff, super friendly! The tenders are juicy and big !! I got #3, hot tender and medium slider!! The hot was a very good amount spicy and came out steaming hot, very tasty. The medium was a perfect flavor and spice level not spicy but not bland, good flavor. I tried medium heat and probably could've done the HOT. The waffle fries weren't as fresh as I'd like, but that's an easy fix. Pricing is reasonable, but would like to have had a drink included with the combo. Its a combo! Include a drink.. come on folks. The restaurant was clean, personnel friendly. O. M. G! Blazin' Hot Chicken is bound to begin selling out and FAST! My husband and I both got the 3 tender meal spice level Hot (drinks not included) and we got a Mild tender for our daughter. First off, the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we enjoyed our experience. They gave our little girl some mac and cheese and juice on the house. They also replaced her tender when I had concerns about the spice level. Just be aware even though it says Mild (and does taste like Mild) it looks VERY dark (picture of the mild is the 2 tenders in the black box). They replaced it with a Country which has NO spice which is the single tender in the black box. They told us the honey mustard was homemade and it showed! I did not try it but my husband said it's the best he's EVER had and they use real honey to make it!!! All 3 of us enjoyed every single bite. We left stuffed yet wanting more and excited to return. The place is also a little small but PRETTY! Tables, floor, and everything was spotless. And to top it off they are open extremely late (2:00 AM Sun-Wed and 3.30AM Thurs-Sat).
