Plus, they are a great bike shop! What I like best about this store is the customer service - they are truly thoughtful when helping you figure out what you need and don't need. For someone like me, who doesn't know much about biking, I feel I can trust the information they give me to make sure my kids are ready to practice and race. One time, I took my daughter's bike in for a tune up before a race and Brecken not only did a great job getting the bike ready, but used his experience with the race to recommend new flat tire goo due to conditions. I am sharing my story and review because my Giant ebike I purchased from Blazing Saddles 3 years ago has changed my life! I love my bike that has taken me over 3000 miles of forest and rode adventures. It makes me feel like a little girl again and I am almost 70. reserved a e-bike 8-21 to pick up on 8-22. Air quality was extremely hazardous on 8-22. I went in to Blazin Saddles to ask about moving my reservation to 8-23 as air quality was expected to improve. Their response was "unfortunately we have a 24 hour cancellation policy". I didn't want to cancel, but simply move my reservation. The bike was NOT reserved for someone else on 8-23 either. They could have easily accommodated my request, but refused... Customer service is horrible! I will not return and I have shared my bad experience with others in the community. I've since learned that others have had a bad experience at Blazin Saddles as well. Not only did they not accommodate me, they were rude. I felt like I was an imposition when I did pick up the rental and returned it. You would think for them being in a tourist town they would be more than friendly and happy to accommodate customers. They blew it! I will do business with Eurosports from now on. The only reason I didn't to begin with was because they were closed.... Do not do business with Blazin Saddles, you'll regret it! read more

I like to service my own bikes, but they are always helpful whenever I have a question. Blazin Saddles is an awesome bike shop in Sisters, near Bend. Very nicely organized. Lots of gear, lots of equipment for the starter, middle of the roader, and high-end biker. Road bikes. Mountain bikes. Rentals too. No, I haven't use the services but I watched and chatted with one mechanic, Eric, last time I passed through. Saw him put a sweet tune up on bikes, he knows his stuff. So I would not hesitate to bring my Salsa 29er in here for service. Casey is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions on where the local Mountain bike trails or road bike routes are and what gear you need to go out for a ride. I've had so many good experiences at this shop, but here's my most recent: I was building up a bike myself, but didn't have the right bottom bracket tool. Even though the shop schedule was slammed, Casey and Jacob took out a couple of minutes to wrench in my bottom bracket. Once I had the bike fully built, I noticed a "thock!" sound whenever I put in hard pedal stroke. Diagnosing creaks and sounds on a full-suspension carbon MTB is a PITA, and I could not figure it out. Maybe the BB wasn't torqued to spec? Called Casey and he insisted it was right, but said to bring it in. Again they took the time to look at it, and the BB was good. Then Jacob worked with me for about 30 minutes to find and fix the sound. At the end he went over every bolt on the bike and found a loose pinch bolt on the suspension swing arm. Somehow it slipped through QA at the factory! The price for this excellent service was... way, way too low. So I bought a bunch of stuff from them - they have a great selection of everything - clothes, shoes, helmets, gear... I frequent a lot of bike shops and this one is waaay high up on the list regardless of location, and it's definitely the best shop in Sisters. read more

My husband and I rented bikes from Blazin' Saddles to discover biking trails in Sisters after talking about traveling to this area for over a decade from Southern California. Parley was very friendly, attentive and made sure we had best fitting bikes for our needs. Being a couple of "well-seasoned" mtn. bikers who no longer take the toughest rides but prefer easy to moderate trails, he steered us right on trail choice and bikes. Got my first ride on a 29er and that was heaven. The bike shop guys both made us feel welcomed. Fair price on the two rentals for 1/2 day. We also spent 2 days in Bend at Loge Entrada where our renting bikes experience left a lot to be desired to say the least. BYOB to Entrada. I could see that's what most riders do there. My experience, and shop around before purchasing a bike from Blazin Saddle. I'm disappointed with the shops technicians and the lack of expertise and know how to correctly diagnose a problem that I continually experienced with my mt. bike that I purchased in December. I was told, "that there was no issues with the bike, and it was me." I took my bike to three different bike shops, all the technicians collectively diagnosed the problem that I was experiencing, with in minutes of looking at the bike. It turned out that a part on the bike was a manufacture defect and a recall was issued to fix the problem. The bike is fix and I'm happy to be back on the trails, and that's my experience with Blazin Saddle. read more

Great bike shop! Stopped by mid afternoon in the middle of a nine day group bike tour. Needed an urgent and somewhat complex repair to get back in the road with our group. Deet (spelling?) took care of me, fixed the bike that afternoon, and got me rolling again before the group left town. Looked through their great selection of bikes and accessories while I waited and left with a couple of things that were just what I needed. Highly recommended! read more

Perhaps the best experience I have ever had in a bike store over the last 30 years. Thanks to Casey and Romeo in the shop. They made my bike buying experience fun and informative. I am a very picky customer and they satisfied me with their service from ordering a new bike, extending the Memorial Day sale price to me even though the bike I wanted wasn't in stock. They stayed after closing to fit me to the bike and offered another free fitting (after a few weeks of riding the bike) as well as 2 complete tune ups worth over $100. I love this store! The staff listen to my needs and help me make purchases that benefit my riding experience. My boyfriend and I got our first mountain bikes here and we love them. After riding a bit, we went back and Brittany helped me pick out riding shorts and shoes that are super comfortable and allow me to ride longer without discomfort. Then, she took me on a ride and basically gave me a free clinic on turning! The staff truly go above and beyond here. This is a bike shop that gets it. I don't know why so many bike shops have that condescending, snooty vibe or try to just get you into a bike like a pushy car dealer, but it's something I've ran into over and over. Blazin Saddles has figured it out though. They will treat you like family and try to do what's best by the customer. Not only do they carry a ton of quality product they are willing to make special orders to get you outfitted right. Their shop is also really engaged in both their local community and the Central Oregon cycling community. I've had only positive experiences here and that's why I will keep going back. read more

I have been extremely disappointed with the quality of service from the crew at Blazin' Saddles. If you are visiting the area and do not have time to mess around, I'd avoid this place if possible. Of course they're real nice and all; but that's not what you are paying for. I expected better execution of repairs without the numerous and expensive follow-ups. I've spent many weeks cleaning up after their incompetence. If I must take my bike in 3 times for service then that is 2 times too many. This is particularly true with their big city prices! Sadly, Blazin' Saddles high service fees are not supported with high-quality workmanship. The tubeless tire they installed on the back rim just came off. That's after the front tire came off. How many times does it take these "experts" to get it right? The staff required me to bring my bike in two times to install the front tubeless tire, for goodness sakes! I'd characterize my experience as a total failure on the part of the business to perform acceptable work. In over 25 years, I have never had to go back to a high-end bike shop for follow-up repairs of this degree! Maybe a small tweak, sure. But never has my bike been disabled after spending this kind of money for service. The service staff at Blazin' Saddles are essentially experienced biking enthusiasts but unfortunately rank amateurs when it comes to maintenance. After I spent over $300 at Blazin' Saddles, I've subsequently had to pay for an additional $130 in maintenance services to get all the new problems fixed. (not including the cost for my time and fuel for the extra trips) Additionally, I should share my opinion of Eric. He was not a good listener and handled me as a customer, poorly. As a result, he came across as not customer-focused. He may have promise, however, at up-selling the customer into a product that is not a good fit for that customer; particularly true in my case because my tire and air maintenance increased substantially. In my first encounter, I did not appreciate how Eric behaved impudently over a trivial misunderstanding during our dialog. I should have taken that as a sign of his less-than-professional nature and never gone forward with the work order. Other employees who worked on my bike during the second visit returned my bike in sloppy fashion. Front wheel was hastily attached and front brakes were scraping the disc which ultimately required bleeding to get it dialed in again. For the benefit of the reader, please note, this is about a high performance $3K bike. e.g. not low-end gear. :) I hope this saves some fellow bikers some grief. Update: After several months of not having reliable air pressure in my tires, on an on-going basis; I was coming to the conclusion this is the way tubeless tire culture is: Riders just put up with the annoyance of always losing air. Then I had both tires re-done by my favorite bike shop. I have not lost air for over a month now, nor have I needed to add any air. I also was not happy with the adjustments to my front shocks as this was not discussed prior to the work being done. It was way too soft so I needed to have that re-adjusted too. read more

I recently purchased a BMC TMR02 from them after I found their listing online. After emailing a few question back and forth I made the decision to buy the bike from them. Between Eric and Casey, they were very knowledgable of the BMC brand as I did my due diligence research and they were spot on when it came to specific technical questions. We handled the credit card transaction over the phone (I was a bit weary of this) but having previous high reviews on Yelp and Google I trusted them and proceeded with the purchase. FYI Oregon has no state tax! That was a huge deciding factor that I didn't realize until the transaction was being processed. The process couldn't have been easier and my bike was paid for and on its way. They even worked with me on optimal shipping rates to Hawaii, in order to save me a few more dollars...KUDOS! Now the fun begins, FedEx managed to "misplace" my brand new multi thousand dollar bike somewhere along the shipping lines. After not receiving any shipping updates for days I contacted Casey/Eric. They were immediately on the phone with bikesflights.com and FedEx trying to track my bike down. Apparently the shipping label had "fallen off or got damaged" according to FedEx, I don't believe that for one second, but to no fault of Blazin Saddles or bikeflights.com. Casey kept me updated along the way and my bike arrived safely, but a few days later than expected. Their professionalism and customer service are not only what you'd expect when spending thousands of dollars on a bike, but they go that extra mile to ensure you're satisfied and everything is taken care of on their end. I'd buy from blazin saddles again in a heartbeat, and let me remind you this was an Internet/over the phone sale and I have never even met these awesome guys! The staff greeted us warmly and were happy to check our bikes over while we waited. They adjusted brakes and etc in about 20 minutes. And they poured us a nice cup of local beer, on the house!
