It's hard to imagine it but the reason is purely for function. Placing 3 chairs around I think would be very difficult to navigate anymore. Luckily for those who might not like shared rooms - singles are available. If you've been saving money all your life and here - this might just be the time to spend a little extra if you don't like people around. My friend's neighbor was a pleasant person - and that's what I've found going to these types of places - its not bad to have another nearby... If your friend or family member is here its your job to visit. People make up excuses and there really is no excuse. I was able to slip in 30 minutes before closing after work and anybody can do that. I think visitors are an important part of recovery. You can't visit your friend or your mom? The facility itself is nestled in the general neighborhood. Parking is simple as they have a large lot in the back. Upon entry, the area it bright and clean. Each room is alway clean and the building is properly staffed. In fact the staffing to resident ratio seem great. There is always someone to ask for help when necessary. Meals are complete and has a good variety. Caretaking of the patients is on schedule and the staff are friendly. The level of engagement with the patient is also great. My dad's mental state is diminished, but the stuff still finds ways to interact with him. I often visit my dad and find that he is in a group activity that ranges from bingo, karaoke, and watching movies to name a few. I want to give a shout out to our case manager, Cynthia, who is always supportive and respond quickly to questions that we may have. Also to my dads physical therapist, Dominic, who always have a friendly demeanor, understanding tone, supportive nature, and most importantly patience to try and get my dad back to baseline. We also sincerely appreciate all the care and attentiveness to all the nurses that provides care to my dad around-the-clock. I know the staff is always watching because I get a phone call every my dad falls. I highly recommend St. Francis to anyone who needs to seek out a care facility.

Lastly, when they were doing my exam, they gave no guidance on what they wanted me to do and got annoyed when I wasn't doing the move they wanted. The only positive experience was with Deelah, at the front desk, they were very nice.
