Went to Bleecker Street Bar on a Sunday afternoon with a friend before heading to a show in the neighborhood. Located at Broadway and Bleecker, the bar originally operated on Bleecker and Crosby until 2020 before reopening in this location in spring 2023. The space is enormous the space, with a long bar with ample bar seating, a pool table, plenty of tables, and lots of standing room. They offer happy hour Sunday through Friday from 12 PM to 7 PM, with happy hour pricing for some food items and various drinks: specific cocktails are $10, draft beers are $6, and wine is $8. We had two rounds of espresso martinis, made front of us, tasted great, and were the same size as a regular cocktail. The we ordered food from the regular menu. The carnitas nachos ($19) were a generous portion and very enjoyable, and the chicken tenders with honey mustard ($15) were perfectly cooked and delicious. The two dishes were the proper amount of food for dinner for two people. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was great. We chatted with him for a bit, and he made consistently great drinks while providing friendly service. I would absolutely recommend Bleecker Street Bar for happy hour and it would be a great option for groups. The prices are great for both the neighborhood and generally downtown Manhattan, the space is large and comfortable, and its location makes it an ideal place to start an afternoon or evening out in the area. read more

Complete scam of a bar. I opened a tab at the bar. The waitress asked if I wanted a drink, I told her I had a tab at the bar. She bought me my cc and told me I had to close it and open it either her, which I did. I was with about 10 guys, everything went on my card and they venmoed me. At the end of the night the waitress handed me the mobile thing to pay, the screen just said "tip amount". I pushed 20%, which was about $250 (no food just drinks). I could not get a receipt because it was out of paper. They emailed me the receipt, they added a 20% tip for a "big party" already, plus my 20% so the waitress (who sucked) got a $500 tip! I complained but they would not refund $250 read more

My big homie was in town the Saturday night before St Paddys day and ordered us to meet him at Bleecker Street Bar. I'd never been and really didn't want to go out, but when the big homie is in town, you gotta dig deep. My fellow lil bro and I arrived and much to our chagrin, we were met with a pretty long line. After waiting in the cold for a few minutes, big homie comes out from the inside and daps the bouncer up and gives us a confused look while waving us in. That's why he the big homie! Big homie got me a negroni, and to be honest, it wasn't great...they were kinda light on the gin & campari... It came with one of those tiny little straws too... every time a drink comes with a straw all I can think about is Crazy Stupid Love when Ryan Gosling's character tells Steve Carrells "Rob, it's like you're sucking on a tiny shvantz" ahahahhaa. That scene single handedly stopped me drinking from straws. Well I am drinking this iced coffee from a straw rn, but that's neither here nor there. I realize this is more of a beer oriented establishment as it's more of a sports bar vibe, so that's lowkey on me. Big homie got one of the draft beers here and loved it. Incredibly rude bartender. Yelled at me when I inquired about the food I had ordered an hour and a half ago that never came. Said that he did, and I quote, "not know who the hell I was" and that he could not help me. I gave him the name of my tab and he dismissed me and said he didn't care. It was so rude to the point that the people next to me made a comment about it and asked if I was ok. This is NOT a friendly place and I DO NOT recommend the service here. Adam, Ben, Ski, Christian... probably the best bartenders in NY. I've spent hours there... in conversation with these guys, getting served by them, discussing music and toilet habits. They are terrific. And there's a nice selection of tap beers. It's a big space, but on Friday and Saturday nights you'll have to wait in line. (I go on Sundays and Tuesdays) Tacos are nice. And the wings are good, though the food is nothing special... but the ambience is special. I found the bouncers to be friendly, helpful, and nice and jokey. There's pool and darts in the back. Sometimes it gets a little jock-ish, but it is a sports bar, so waddaya expect? Usually the customers are as friendly as the bartenders. It's a great place to hang out. read more

My buddy got a table here for 6PM. He showed up on time with some friends and had an extra spot for me. I came to meet him a bit later and there was a fat line outside. Mark is a great bartender and the area is great. We only had drinks so I cannot speak to their food but all of the other patrons seem to be enjoying theirs very much. The drinks are strong and moderately priced. It is one block away from the subway station so you can use the green lines 456. The bathrooms are gender neutral and huge single person rooms. There are 2 pool tables and booths or high top tables along with a huge bar with lots of seating. Overall it's a great place. Not too touristy but not just locals, a perfect combination. read more

Instead of addressing concerns, management retaliates against customers for speaking up. When I asked why, the manager was unbelievably rude and just told me to "email the company." Came on a Friday night at 7 when there was plenty of room. An engagement party was happening in one section. They have two good pool tables and darts. Some tables are bar service only. We tried the margarita and mushroom truffle flatbreads, cheesy tots, nachos, and honey teriyaki wings. Food was pretty good but the menu is small and pretty much bar food only. I have been to this bar many times mostly with my fully trained service animal. Tonight when we attempted to enter the bouncers refused us referencing the dog while requesting I pull up paperwork. While they called the manager I pulled up registration for my service dog. It's not federally regulated, it's often done for ease when navigating the world. The manager came out yelling about how he knows my service dog "is not real" because i have her registered. As someone who is disabled and navigating the world as a service dog carrier, this was incredibly frustrating and disrespectful. I spent years and a lot to of money training my service dog. I will not be returning despite really liking this bar and visiting with my service dog many times. read more

Really enjoyed this place. We had a big post event celebration and i was able to bring in balloons, cookies and our own napkins and such to celebrate. The staff is super friendly and enjoy pouring great drinks. Wings and sliders were especially good - all food was yummy. Prices are very fair. Jukebox was a huge hit with everyone. What is most upsetting about the reopening of Bleecker Street Bar is that the new clientele who will be frequenting this joint, will never truly know how great the original was! The new and improved BSB delivers on the original but with more space to play with. Seems like a fun place to grab a beer (decent selection), catch a game with friends, throw darts or knock around some billiard balls. If you're amongst the 30+ age range, I would recommend coming on the earlier side of the things as it packs up with horny NYUers who can't seem to handle their liquor.... which is expected considering it's proximity to the University. Also highly recommend the wings and tater tots.. they slapped! Oh and the servers / waiters were top notch and super helpful.. even when the place got slammed. I typically love this bar but the manager was ridiculously insensitive tonight. My friends and I were attempting to enter the bar before the bouncers asked my friend for her dogs service dog paperwork. My friend then proceeded to present her dogs paperwork when the manager approached us aggressively discrediting her and the dogs paperwork (mind you we have been in this establishment at least 4 times before with the dog). Not only is it illegal to ask for a service dogs paperwork, the manner in which the manager approached us was completely unprofessional, considering that there was only maybe 10 other patrons in the bar. We intended to have a good time at this bar we enjoy, only to be severely disappointed. To the upper management that reads this message, get a grip on your manager because he seriously needs to look himself in the mirror, since the dog in question was a small pug and not a bigger dog. Unfortunately, we did love this bar and recommended it to friends visiting but will no longer be doing so due to this experience. If you're the manager reading this, please get a grip and stop being such an a**hole to people who want to come in and spend money in your establishment, especially on a slow Easter Sunday evening. read more
