I found this hair salon on Yelp while looking for a great haircut for kids. It was a terrific experience start to finish! We were able to book our appointments over the phone and got taken right away. Jordyn cut one of my almost 8 year-old twins' hair and did a fabulous job. Very stylish! Matt cut my other twins' hair, and he was very pleased with the result. The guy who greeted us was friendly, the place is clean and nice inside. I found Blend House Studio purely by chance. I needed a same day cut for my son. NEX messed up his hair. Gave him a bowl cut looking like Floyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. Excitedly showed up 10 minuets early for my son's appointment and called them because we couldn't find the shop. It was going to be my son's first experience at a Barbershop. I explained that I was parked at the address but didn't see the shop. The young man who answered said,"Oh, just come up the stairs next to Button Up and you'll see us." I thanked him and said I'll be right there. He says, "ok". I was 10 minutes early because I respect people's time and never want to show up late. I found the shop, and opened the door. A large disheveled looking man rushed the door and huffed that they were closed!! He slapped a closed sign on the door and closed it abruptly. I felt extremely disappointed, embarrassed & undervalued as a potential customer. After being turned away so rudely, I no longer felt welcomed and after thinking about what just happened, I called to cancel the appointment. The person who answered the 2nd time I called was actually apologetic and seemingly professional however, I had already lost trust in a place that employs such rude employees. Went here 3 times. Only 1 cut was good. First time I went and only good cut was from Bryce. 2nd time showed pictures of what I wanted, told me that it was really short, which I said I was fine with. Told me he would cut it longer than what I asked to be safe, ok sure. Cuts my hair and doesn't show me once. Tells me if it's too long I can come back the next day he was in and he would cut it shorter for free. Why not just cut it how I asked in the first place. Lets me walk out without showing me. Had to fix it at home. Next time I go in I ask for a Richard Rios cut and show pictures(brushed back low taper mullet) bro gave me a 10 guard buzz with low taper and neck fade, which was basically the haircut that he had. I asked for a "High Taper Fade" Hair cut was good, not the best I've had. I realized once I got home it wasn't faded from the back as well as I thought. Also, got the top of my right ear snipped a little by the barber, still have my ear a little swollen from the cut. Would have gave a five star but haircut didn't come out as well as I wanted it too. I've been here many times before. I am very wary of taking my 7 year old to get his haircut. All the barbers that I've gone to in the past here and were happy with were no longer here. So.... I decided to pay the upgraded price for the manager's kids cut... thinking the service and hair would be better. NOT! This guy, Hunter, was friendly enough but he didn't talk to my child AT ALL. Instead, he non stopped talked to some lady that had walked in. They were gabbing about Vegas and clothes and his chic. Normally, this wouldn't bother me, but he STOPPED every time he got into the conversation with this lady. Anyone who has a child knows that it is hard to keep their attention. He really just needed to STOP TALKING and being rude to my son. My son may have been 7, but he's still a customer. AND if you can't talk and work at the same time, then how about just do your job! Walked in and all the workers greeted us..The place is super clean and it's upbeat.. Got to meet Elvince, which is the owner.Super down to earth. Since he is young, and his workers are too, their relation is more like peers than their boss. I think that's the reason why the place is warmth, boss is not domineering. I love this place! I've been coming here regularly for the past six months or so for my undercut and I've learned two things: 1. As a female with an undercut, it definitely helps to have a professional barber! I came in with a pretty crooked and unevenly lined cut and Cody fixed it for which I'm eternally grateful. He also gave me an insane design he freestyled and now we're working on changing the shape of it entirely. 2. The guys here are some of the friendliest on the island! Everyone welcomes you when you walk in and thanks you when you walk out. If you're looking for a great barber then I can't recommend this place enough. I was initially intimidated and didn't know what to expect before my first appointment but that all went away after I walked in. It's also so convenient. I can book the appt online, they're conveniently located on Kam Highway (although coming from Aiea side I need to flip a U-turn to get on the right side of the highway), and they have lots of parking. read more

Cut hair soo good, very precise yet fast. Doesn't take any longer than 30min. The new place is located right above above Button Up Cafe in Pearl City. Parking can be tough depending on the time of day. If Button up cafe is open then it will be hard to find. There's parking in the front and the back. You will not be disappointed when you come to this location! Honestly the elite of barbers! Every guy left their chair/barber looking fly! My son, Benjamin, had an appointment with Cody, he left the happiest kid alive. That blending is on point! FIRE, FUEGO! My family in LA saw his fresh cut on IG and said "damn, those guys get down in Hawaii!" Also- if you are worried about covid, put your mind at ease, these guys are super clean have the thermometer out to scan you, clean the chairs after each cut...the works. 1st lemme start by saying that anyone who cuts my 4yr old sons hair, needs to have the patience of a saint. Also - not everyone knows how to cut his hair because he's mixed. With that being said - my brother recommended this place to me and the first person who cut my sons hair was Cody. He did an AMAZING job. The next time we went, Cody wasn't working so one of the other guys cut his hair. We've been back a bunch of times and have had several different people work on my sons hair, and every single time we were NOT disappointed. They have an easy online booking system too. Went here to try this place out. I have never really found the right barbershop for me because all the ones I've been to just didn't feel welcoming. Well today, I think I've found my go to barber shop. The first thing that stood out to me was the friendliness of these barbers. The way every single one of them welcomes each and every customer that walks in is outstanding and actually way better than most retail stores I would have to say. Bryce was my barber and from the get go he made conversation to break the ice and asked me how I wanted my haircut. I wasn't sure what I wanted and he was very nice and worked with me by cutting my hair to a length I was happy with. He consistently made conversation, which I appreciated because it shows he cares about his clientele and gets to know them. Bryce did a fantastic job and has now gained a new client. Thank you Bryce! To top it off, after my haircut was done and finished paying, all the barbers said thank you as I walked out. Wow! I have not been greeted and thanked with such customer service in a while!!
