I stopped by The Fresh Monkee in Smithfield recently. I arrived here around 4:10 pm and I initially thought they were already closed since I couldn't place an online order. However, I open the door and walk in. The friendly staff told me they extended their hours recently, so I was good. I ordered the Meal Size Blueberry Pie ($10.50 plus tax), which was made to order promptly. I enjoyed my large protein shake which had a blend of milk, blueberries, vanilla protein, vanilla extract, spices and topped with low fat graham cracker crumbs. This creamy protein shake had a slightly thinner consistency than a traditional smoothie, with a good not too sweet flavor overall. I could not finish this shake immediately and gradually enjoyed it on my 90 minute drive back home. I would return here again for another protein shake, but a snack size shake would suffice for me.
