I only recently "discovered" Blendily and am already a huge fan. Although it can be intimidating to walk into a niche skincare storefront, the store on Alberta smells *amazing* and the staff are quite helpful. (You can even catch a peek of the kitchen behind the checkout counter.) Now, I am a person who does not have a "skincare routine," nor do I desire to create one; I came to Blendily for practical reasons: To look for a new shampoo which didn't come in a plastic bottle. Although they were out of stock for shampoo bars, I was added to a wait list for the next batch. Lo and behold, I received an email within a few weeks letting me know they were back in stock. This was super efficient, and while I could have saved $5 by purchasing it online since they also sent a coupon (!), I went back to the store and ended up buying a shave bar alongside the shampoo. The staff and store felt gender-inclusive; most scents are neither overtly masculine nor superfluously feminine. I have been satisfied with both of my soap bars, although my shower looks obnoxious with a stack of soap cakes piled up on the shelf. (People with things like a "skincare routine" would probably invest in a soap bag or something, which they also sell at Blendily.) The only modification I made to my purchases was to chop off the flowers and herbs decorating one side of the soap / shampoo bars, because while they were certainly beautiful, it felt quite impractical for chamomile flowers to fall into my hair while washing. For those not ready to commit to an entire bar of specialty soap, homemade lotion, or other full-size products, Blendily sells trial sized bottles of most things, including soap ends for $5. I'd definitely recommend signing up for their email list and/or checking out their online store. read more

Wonderfully clean, locally made products. I love getting their samples for presents for people (and myself of course). They have a new whipped body butter that is luscious and rich. Hope they continue offering that as I believe the current lavender one is a a special seasonal product. read more

Blendily has NOT forgotten us guys! There two products that stand out for me, Blessed With Bay and Shinrin-Yoku. Blessed With Bay is an incredibly effective salve for soothing chapped hands. A little goes a long way, I cannot detect any scent, and the tin fits in my jeans pocket for an EDC item. Shinrin-yoku is a wonderful shaving soap. If you wet shave, ditch the canned variety and try this totally organic, healthy shave soap. It lathers up nicely and the mild scent reminds me of being in a forest. Which is appropriate given it's name of Shinrin-Yoku translates into English as "forest bathing." Thank you Blendily for remembering us guys! read more

My husband and I where walking on Alberta when we saw the store. I love the clean and open space aesthetics of the store. The place is very welcoming and the staff is very sweet and super knowledgeable. I have very sensitive scalp so I was looking for a more natural styling product that can make my curly hair soft. Once of the staff member came by and recommended the Amla Allure Hair Conditioning Balm so I bought it. So far I have been using the balsm as a styling product, I have tested it on wet hair and dry hair. Both leave my hair soft but I actually love it with dry hair as it moisturizes my curly hair and it leaves it super soft.  I haven't needed any other products and the best of it all it that it does not irritate my scalp. I am so glad I came over your store. read more

Fantastic skincare place. The ingredients used in all the products either come from Ivy's garden, or are foraged (by her) in local forests. This means I can read the list of ingredients and recognize them (Chemistry class was too long ago for me to remember much of anything). Then the product containers are selected to be re-usable. I use a couple of the small spray bottles for misting plants at home. This concept reduces the filling of land fill sites. Then, to add zest to everyday living there are monthly events called "Glow Ups," where several people get together to share in the experience of enhancing their natural facial beauty. Some Glow Ups have a theme, like around Mother's Day, the focus will be on mothers and daughters sharing a Glow Up experience. read more

Sadly, after being in the nearly empty store for 20 minutes ~ I got asked to leave by someone I presume is the owner due to having my (clean and well-behaved) dog with me. : ( So be aware dogs aren't allowed but the sign isn't very noticeable (I ALWAYS look for a sign on the door before walking into any store...Plus, hello? This is Portland, one of the most dog-friendly cities! Time to change your policy!) It's probably for the best though. The store was confusing, cold, not very user friendly, no one greeted me or smiled, the labels were hard to read and the young salesperson behind the counter could barely answer my questions.so off we went to buy gifts elsewhere. read more

These products are amazing!! My complexion was completely changed within a month. I've struggled with dry skin and acne since being a teen and never landed on a regimen that worked. Now I use Golden Hour oil and Be Splendid daily and my skin is always balanced and fresh. Highly highly recommend, and bring your friends! These products need to be enjoyed! read more

This little apothecary beauty shop is nothing but lovely. Most products are custom blended to your specific needs, whether it's facial tonics or moisturizers, body soaps, or leave-in conditioners for your hair she can make anything your beauty regimen is lacking. There are also pre-made products on the shelves made from essential oils, local herbs (some she even grows herself!) and all natural oils. I found my new and forever favorite Whole Body Soap at Blendily and it's so luxurious with coconut oil, rose essential oil, and it even has organic rose petals sprinkled along the top. I use it to wash my hair and body and I've never felt more beautiful. read more

I recently ordered the Olive Only Liquid Soap and Pumice Stone; OMG, I am in LOVE with that stone!! Previously, I used a PedEgg to buffer my feet, but it never quite smoothed away the callous and required daily buffering-- who has time for that?? After years of unsatisfactory results with the PedEgg and believing that I'm just doomed with ugly feet, I used the Pumice Stone from Blendily and -- after just ONE try! -- was almost in disbelief at how easily and smoothly it worked on my feet! The callous practically melted away!?? (I soaked my feet in a bath of warm salt water for 30 minutes beforehand.) Now, I have pretty feet and I want to show them off!! ;) I keep telling my husband to just toss out that lame PedEgg already!! P.S. Ordering these items off the Blendily website was super easy and my order arrived quickly along with a sweet handwritten thank-you note from the owner.
