Had my first appointment here back in January. They love to nickel and dime you for their practices. Doctor Mistry was nice sure, but kept pushing Invisalign on me after I said let me get a second opinion. But still wouldn't take that for an answer. I had braces as a kid, wore my retainer until I was in my mid 20s. I don't believe I need to spend thousands of dollars on Invisalign. After scheduling my 6 month appointment, there was a $100 cancellation fee they never even mentioned. Some people don't have flexible working jobs and can make that work. But hand up accountability for me even scheduling the second appointment. Then over the phone they told me I had a $15 outstanding balance for the "irrigation" system. The water you rinse your mouth with... you're a dental office and are charging me people to use your water. Won't be returning read more

The dentist is super nice. That said the actual dental services here are probably closer to a 2.5 than a 3. The cleanings aren't very good and at the end they smear this white-out type substance on your teeth that is sticky and you end up ingesting 99% of it. I also had a filling replaced and the results weren't great. It still hurts to chew on that side... read more

I've been here to get cleanings and for ortho appointments. Everyone has been super helpful with my Invisalign purchases and needs, and with booking appointments. Our daughter's dentist is at Lighthouse dental and she likes the dentist very much. HOWEVER, reviews have said that they make the atmosphere as peaceful and comfortable for those who suffer from anxiety. Somehow listening to rock and roll (another one bites the dust, etc) does NOT seem to do the job of relaxing and with anxiety, that must tends to make more things complicated. Dr. Mistry & Alisha were great! Very friendly and professional. Communication at the first desk is not great. They recommended I purchase a toothbrush from them, which I did. When I returned home I realized it was cheaper at other locations so I called to see if I could return and they said they weren't sure due to COVID (which was never mentioned when I purchased) and would get back to me. Dr. Mistry and team at Lighthouse are the best! Vivian was both gentle and thorough cleaning my teeth and she answered all of my questions and walked me through the results of the digital scan, which really helped my understanding of my oral health. They recommended I switch to a night guard with retainer after showing me my bite patterns on the scan, and also that I ditch my ten year old permanent retainer so that I can clean better. Not pushy at all, I didn't feel like they were pushing me to buy more than was necessary, and both Dr. Mistry and Vivian kept me in the loop enough to better understand and feel motivated to take care of my oral health. TLDR; This place is great, their new hygienist from Miami is 5 stars, and I continue to go here for the great service. I've been using Lighthouse Dental for 5+ years. I'm not someone who has many dental problems, so I'm happy to say I have rarely needed to see them beyond a normal check-up. No cavities (knock on wood), no real dental issues. That may be thanks to a low-grade white-coat syndrome via past terrible experiences with dentists/hygienists, but hey, what's a little trauma, right? A normal dental check-up would leave me walking away with my gums bleeding and sore after being poked, prodded, and scolded by a hygienist who swears to me that none of this would happen if I flossed more (for the record, I floss 2x a day). During my last appointment about 2 weeks ago, I legitimately had the best dental experience of my entire life up to this point (yes, I'm aware of how weird that sounds). My hygenist (who hails from Miami (I don't remember her name, sorry!!)) gave me -- hands down -- the most thorough and gentle dental cleaning I've ever received. My gums were not sore or bleeding and there was no mention of how my not flossing enough was going to give me cancer (that last part is a joke, no one's ever done that). Had that most recent experience been the normal of my dental cleanings, I would dare say that I LOVE the dentist. read more

Here we are, 8 months after my first visit to Dr. Mistry and I finally had my crown installed for the last time by my new dentist. My experience with Dr. Mistry lasted from February-May 2018 and culminated in 7-8 total visits. While scheduling is a breeze at this office, the quality of treatment and craftsmanship is downright scary. Keep in mind, I went in to get one tooth crowned originally in a pinch. Fast forward to three temporary crowns (they fell out, they broke, and etc), two permanent crowns (first one I cracked and last one, I swallowed), a bad cavity fill in the tooth in front of the affected one (Dr. Mistry nicked the tooth with the drill causing it to need to be filled) and 7-8 office visits later (including an emergency Sunday procedure to repair the cracked permanent crown), I asked for a refund and got the work done right (the first time). I wished throughout the entire process that Dr. Mistry had spent more time strategizing on a proper path forward and less time doing guess work especially since this was the furthest back tooth in my mouth (31, lower back molar) which is used for chewing and has the least surface area. Throughout the process, I was sure he either ground the tooth too low or did not have enough surface on the tooth to hold the crown down (even after cutting grooves in the crown). However, he never presented an alternative option other than doing the same thing over and over (the definition of insanity) which resulted in an inordinate amount of visits, discomfort, missed work, and pain. When I went in for a second opinion to the dentist that eventually fixed the poor work, it was clear that not only was the tooth not prepped properly (he did not laser the gum down at all or expose enough to create enough surface area for proper and lasting bond), but that that Dr. Mistry had damaged the tooth in front of it. Each time I went, I felt as though Dr. Mistry operated with a "we'll just see what happens approach," consistently getting less and less confident with his work. This approach may be fine the first or second time, but nothing beyond that. It almost seemed like he expected to see me again. While a very nice guy, I would not recommend Dr. Mistry to anyone seeking any procedure past a basic cleaning. While very available and always open to get a last minute appointment in, I have learned it is worth paying a little extra for proper dental care as your teeth will be with you forever and are alo directly linked to your heart health. The whole building has been outfitted with hospital-grade equipment and PPE that exceeds well beyond the CDC and ADA guidelines. The dentist and hygienist are great. Made sure I was comfortable and were thorough. The front office staff is horrible. Disorganized and unprofessional. Asked me the same questions over and over again over email, misplaced paperwork, unprofessional email communication, they made me miss my cleaning this morning. One woman at the front desk doesn't have her mask on and the other woman has it not covering her nose. The medical staff is great though, I will be going back because of them- and I'll just try to minimize my interactions with the admin staff. Lastly, they are taking COVID seriously. Tons of precautions. This is only the second medical appointment I went to since the pandemic, and I was impressed. If they get better front desk staff/train them better, it would be a perfect dental office! read more

They somehow make it feel like a small town again, allowing my 3 mostly-well-behaved kids to hang out in the waiting room during my cleaning. Dr. Mistry is quick, efficient, and polite - without being cold, impersonal, or robotic. A few years ago, I had an emergency lock-up of my jaw due to TMJ issues and grinding my teeth at night.
