After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! During drop-off, I heard my car slam to the ground. The driver struggled the entire time and left without saying a word. Days later, I discovered my muffler hanging. After inspection at Mavis Discount Tire, I was told the exhaust system was severely damaged--pipes bent and catalytic converter dented--requiring full replacement. When I went to the owner, instead of taking responsibility, he: Called me a liar Accused me of trying to scam him Refused to take accountability Offered no real solution His only response was that we could "see each other in court." Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and dishonest. What should have been a routine tow turned into thousands in damage. I will be pursuing legal action.
