For window treatment, DO NOT use Blind Faith (Jonestown, TX). For one they are way overpriced. And two, the company owner and a helper damaged the wood around the window (cracking). Then they lied to my face and said the damage was already there (had pictures to prove otherwise). This was the first window they attempted and no other similar damage to any of the other 30 windows could be found. Any professional would have walked in the other room where I was present and notify me of any existing damages before attempting to install. THIS IS A BRAND NEW STANDARD PACIFIC CUSTOM BUILT HOME! The builder just completed a fresh new paint job after walk-through. There was absolutely NO CRACKS ON ANY WALL (especially not in the exact same place one would drill in screws for blind installation.) Standard Pacific will also verify that the cracking was clearly caused by the window treatment installation (it is also very clear in the pictures - there was a bracket that wedges into the corner of the window that was removed to show the cracking). Then they forced me to buy the blinds w/o installation or lose my $1500 deposit. The damages could have been easily fixed (builder already planning to do paint touch ups as needed - part of new home 30/60 day coverage) BUT the owner decided to lie to my face and try to avoid the possibility of any additional costs. 12/8/2015 - I just installed the blinds myself and discovered as I suspected that the cause of the cracks were from Blind Faith NOT drilling a starter hole. I did one window without a starter hole and it also cracked in the exact same place. I drilled starter holes for the rest of the windows and no cracking! Added pictures in picture section. Too much pressure builds up in window corners without starter holes! This is NOT rocket science and the OWNER insisted on lying about it. She is even continuing her lie in her response below. Nobody likes being lied to and you cannot expect a friendly customer experience when you damage property and LIE about doing it! The f bombs are quite the exaggeration but what do you expect. She also never mentioned getting a painter out to do touch ups (another lie in an attempt to make her story sound plausible). The entire point of her saying the cracks were already there was to prevent her from having to pay for a painter. (I didn't need one anyway as Standard Pacific is already scheduled to do any touch ups I need. My paint is already in my garage.) THE POINT IS DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE WILLING TO LIE TO AVOID ACCOUNTABILITY!!! You can't trust their business ethics and you definitely cannot trust them in your house. Also the Alta brand blinds are not worth the extra money. Quality is the same as the blinds at Home Depot. Installation is easy (3rd pic was my installation). BUT DRILL STARTER HOLES to avoid cracking! Buy custom measured blinds at Home Depot and install yourself. Don't pay for overpriced blinds and overpriced installation from Blind Faith. There is nothing special about Alta. They say "owned by Hunter Douglas" just to give it some credibility but DON'T FALL FOR IT. They are NOT Hunter Douglas blinds. read more

The Story: We just bought a new home and asked Darby to come out to quote us on just three windows in the garage. I'm surprised she even came out to quote it honestly. We were so impressed with her knowledge and friendliness that we ended up having her install woven wood blinds on 15 windows throughout the house. The installation was excellent and everything fit very well. There is only one blind that is hanging a little odd and I have no doubt that either I can fix it when I find the time, or that Darby will take care of it when I bring it up. After installation was done, we even got a hand written letter in the mail thanking us for our business. How classy is that? We fully plan on using them for any projects in the future, including drapes and other window coverings. --- Darby, keep doing what you are doing. For whatever reason, the previous owner of our home didn't have blinds at all! We got quotes from several different places. Many places refused to install blinds unless we bought their products. Darby responded within the same hour and Trey came out to install our 9 Home Depot blinds the next week. He was very polite, friendly, and professional. He used his own screws rather than the ones the blinds came with so that they would stay in place longer. He double checked to make sure all the blinds were working properly after installing all 9 of them. He gave me a little history behind their company and I could tell both Darby and Trey know a lot about their business and take pride in their work. It took him about an hour to install all 9 blinds and he took all the empty boxes with him. If we ever need another window treatment, we'll most definitely call them back! read more

We had a horrible experience with Blind Faith. Hired them to put in black out shades in our master bedroom. Went with them because they gave the lowest bid. We had one problem after another following installation. First the fascia started falling off which Trey tried to fix with glue and tape before admitting that it was cut incorrectly and needed to be replaced. He seemed annoyed every time he came out to fix it like it was my fault it didn't fit. We also had a lot of problems with the shades getting stuck so they wouldn't roll all the way up or all the way down. Additionally two of the shades started fraying on the side because they weren't installed evenly. After our one year warranty ended, we were charged $250 per visit for Trey to come out and take care of these issues we had been having since the beginning. The shades are still not working correctly but we decided we will not do any additional business with Blind Faith. We plan to have the shades removed and new ones installed by a different company. I'm sure Darby will reply saying I'm the worst customer ever, etc. but take a look at my other reviews and you will see that I give fair reviews. I read one bad review of Blind Faith before hiring them and blew it off but I wish I would have taken it more seriously. read more

Recently had shutters installed. There were a few hiccups and the process took a little longer than I hoped (2months). However, they are high quality, competitively priced and Darby was friendly and honest about the issues that were encountered. Everything was made right and I'm satisfied with the final result. I docked a star because of delays caused by the manufacturer of the shutters resulting in 2 different install dates.
