The pizza here is really good and I don't like pizza! So that must tell you something because every time I come here with friends, their pizza is so tasty and the braided crust is is the best. I have had a fee option of their pizza. Their Hawaiian with added jalapenos is fantastic. They also have really good sausage with a nice kick to it that works well with sausage and rec onions with garlic on top....oh it's to die for. I really can't believe I am raving about pizza. Anyone who reads my reviews knows I rarely even eat pizza let alone rate it. 5 stars at the Belmont location. It's a great addition to a neighborhood that's mostly lacking restaurants and grocery stores. This location has an old-school neighborhood vibe with wooden benches, and a rather simple menu. Their pepperoni pizza is straightforward; tasty, and relatively thin-crusted. They offer an affordable $5 slice and soda option for those on the go. The venue also serves salads and baked sandwiches. You won't find a lot of parking in the neighborhood, with space for 7 or 8 cars on the street. There is a Tri-Met bus stop directly in front of the restaurant. read more

Soon after our pizza was brought to the table and I said rather sternly could you please turn that loud ass nasty music off. The person did not like me saying that. Honestly the staff there plays what they want for themselves and could not careless about the customers comfort. I would describe the ambiance as "lazy" and "do as little as possible". They also have some board games to play if you decide to spend a longer period of time in the restaurant. The staff here was pretty nice and took our order pretty quickly at the counter. I grew up in the Reno/Tahoe area where there are additional Blind Onion locations. Moving here I've done nothing but eat all the delicious pizza in the area. But this location, and pizza is one I visit often with my boyfriend since it is nostalgic to me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I usually come in the evenings and the girls here are playing all the bops.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Currently we are drinking a pitcher of beer, and watching a bob ross episode and listening to all the bops I grew up with. Blind Onion has opened a second location, in the space formerly occupied by Cheese Bar. They have very sensibly made few changes to a very nice space. The biggest change that I noticed was a new mural on the east wall. I paid my first visit on a night that they were donating part of their proceeds to the local middle school. It's wonderful to see Blind Onion establishing themselves as good neighbors. As for the food, it remains the solid pub style pizza that I recall from their original location. The crust is neither thick nor thin, browned nicely on the bottom without being charred, and beautifully rolled around the perimeter, with a lovely amount of chewiness. One thing to be aware of: the menu and pricing are very clearly laid out on the website, and when I attempted to create a pickup order online, the pricing was noticeably higher. I cancelled the online transaction and simply called in my order instead, where I was charged the prices indicated on the site. My guess is that the price discrepancy was generated by a delivery service, which, in the case of my takeout order, would have provided no added value at all. read more

Haven't had Blind Onion in ages and was excited to see this new location in our neighborhood! We have had it carry out three times now from this location and it's delicious every time. The crust is nice and the bottom holds up under all the toppings. The end crust is nice and plump and perfect for dipping in ranch. It has a nice chew, I think maybe their crust is sourdough? We have also gotten the side Caesar salad twice and I highly recommend! Awesome homemade dressing that is not over the top with garlic and won't leave you with garlic mouth for hours after. The pizzas are not even close to the original location. I have ordered from both locations and the recipe's are different for some reason.

I walked in after doing the stairs at Mt Tabor before wandering home. 1) Don't drink the wine--this place is (in a state with great wineries) not a place to drink wine, 2) the mushrooms are off but if avoided the pizza is ok & 3) the women are competent but care more for their own stories than serving customers.
