Great place! Amazing service and great food! Cider was delicious, amazing selection by the way! Crispy chicken sandwich was phenomenal! Definitely will come back

She was like personally offended that I didn't want vegan sausage.

Lady was SO rude!! Holy c! She was super helpful until AFTER I gave her a $20 til for oNE drink. I'll never go back, and she was super rude to the next guy too!!

Dropped in for drinks and a snack after a long walk. This hit the spot. Massive drink menu. We grabbed a burger and fried chicken bites. Both were so tasty especially after a hike. My Mule was very refreshing and delicious. Lots of screens so you won't miss the game. I love that they offer lots of seating options and different sizes to cater to a variety of group sizes.

I went here 7/25 to try the special slushee from the Portland Mercury's $10 slushee-month promotion. The bar was pretty quiet (but we went at 3:00 PM on a Sunday, so I can't speak to peak hours!) The bartender was very friendly, and the vibe was pretty casual. Lots of emo/punk music, which was a plus for me. The slushee was good-- strong, sweet, and had enough tea flavor to come through but not completely overpower the peach. The happy hour menu looked really reasonable, and I would come back to try some of their other cocktails. Overall, a nice experience!

Great place for a trivia night! The bar is large with a lot of great seating options. The whiskey/bourbon selection is wide and varied. The beer selection is also extensive with a nice choice of a taster wheel. The food has a great selection of pub bites. The pretzel and cheese sauce was standard. The sweet potato fries crispy. The sausage was cooked perfectly. The bartenders were very attentive and personable.

When you find a place that shares your name, you really need to go. Outstanding whiskey collection. An opportunity to try some rare, hard to find bourbon. The bartender was helpful and the service was excellent. Really enjoyed the hamburger. I took uber because parking was not easy to find.

I really do heart Loyal Legion. The beer selection is incredible and I could sit here for a while trying out one of the great rotating NE-ipa's on draft. But it's also a cool space, dark and woodsy on the inside, with a good amount of outdoor seating too. And even further, they have a good amount of vegan options (when the hunger inevitably comes on.) Yes, it's bar food (fried, beige) but who can say no to a vegan corn dog?! Though it can get busy (particularly on weekends/nights), service is typically very attentive. And since you order at the bar, you can check out or grab more food/drinks very easily. Cheers to LL!

The fig jam is on the top bun with goat cheese it looks dry - it isn't. It's delicious

We learned about loyal legion through their new location the Portland airport Pdx. And we had to try their city location. And it is as good as it is at the airport. A beer house yes but as non beer drinkers you will enjoy it as well. First they have ice tea and lemonade so other than just fountain drinks this makes me happy. But who knows me I do not come for the drinks I'll come for the food and at loyal I'll stay for the food. They offer a nice selection of vegetarian options besides some burger and fried items. The vegetarian dogs are fantastic and so delicious. They even make a veggie corn dog. The salads are fresh and yummy. I had a burger with fig jam and goats cheese simply perfect. And we tried the pretzel with the spicy cheese sauce. It's not to spicy but have a nice kick. It doesn't burn your tongue so we definitely recommend it ordering with the cheese sauce. All in all they have a fair price and with them having a full bar and lots of beers there is no reason for you to not try it :) no excuse :)

Had to bus the previous customer's booth to have somewhere to sit down

Seat yourself, but there are no clean tables. Had to look around, but couldn't find staff to clean a table, so ended up clearing somebody's dishes and wiping down the table myself. Nobody ever came to clean any tables while we were there. Went to the bar to order, stood where the "order here" sign is, only to be 100% ignored by the bartender (Christina has no business working in customer service) for no less than 4 minutes. Never made eye contact or acknowledged my presence, she was a miserable person. She walked by again and I finally asked if this is where I order, only to be given a nasty side eye and an unfriendly "uh huh". Apparently she works at Capers too, the poor place. All the staff seemed miserable. Took about 25 minutes for a chicken sandwich and corn dog. The corn dog was so burnt and messy I had to peel the scorched fried batter off most of it. Wasn't about to send it back as I'm sure somebody would do something gross to my food and have to wait another 25 minutes. I have eaten here before, and it was mediocre then too. I'll never be back on my frequent trips through that airport. I would avoid this place at all cost.

Came during week week with my husband expecting it to be wild, but we got to order right up at the bar. I was honestly thrilled to find a place with a vegetarian corn dog, so I ordered that and the fried cauliflower. Both were 10/10. The corn dog was the first one I've had in years and clearly fried fresh to order. The cauliflower was delightfully crispy and came with a house made ranch that I couldn't get enough of. The price was honestly really good, too! I sat outside with my dogs so I can't speak too much to the interior, but the vibe looked cozy with dim lighting and plants hanging from the ceiling. I think it'd make a good date night. I'll be back for another corn dog!

    "Smashburger" but not really.
    Emily G.

Service was terrible. The guy at the bar wasn't friendly at all. We also ordered "smashburgers" that were basically just thin patty burgers with no lace or smash to them. Fortunately, the patio is very nice for sunny days.

Staff was pretty rude, very little seating unless you want to sit at the bar. Not good for groups unless you make a reservation.

They have $8 signature cocktails and one specialty cocktail available for $6 from 4:00-7:00 PM (a longer happy hour than most places too!) We came in about 5:00 PM and were sat immediately. Our server told us we could sit anywhere that was available, so I chose a spot near the window. The bar area is very dim, but with the natural light by the window I was able to read the menu even with my poor vision. The decor is lovely-- there are horseshoes all over the walls and the ambiance is very homey/country without feeling too seedy. I ended up ordering the Suzy Parker and the On Brand. Both were lovely. I was surprised I liked the On Brand so much-- I usually kind of hate bourbon but I wanted to try one of the bourbon cocktails since it's their specialty. It was absolutely wonderful-- sweet and sour with just a little bit of the bourbon flavor to round it out. My partner ordered their cocktail of the day, the name of which I can't remember but it was made with a delectably smoke-flavored liquor. Applause all around, these were so tasty, and so reasonably priced. We ended up getting a dessert as well, and the orange marmalade was definitely a tasty morsel. All of the food looks and smells absolutely amazing so I will return for sure to get an actual meal.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

There are a few dining tables inside if you're planning to have a meal as well. The bartender was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me after I asked for a few recommendations. The drinks were excellent, well-balanced, flavorful, and actually tasted like proper cocktails instead of just juice. They definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol either! I'm really glad I chose this place to celebrate. It ended up being the perfect spot for the occasion.
