Things really got dangerous when I discovered they had a location just a mile from my house. I frequently stop in for a quarter pepperoni pie, and I appreciate how flexible they are with modifications because I'm definitely a light-sauce pizza girl. In my opinion, their breadsticks are some of the best around. I genuinely can't come here without ordering them. And then there's the homemade ranch. It's exceptional. There's no soda fountain, order a soft drink and they hand you a 12 oz. can. Pizza is square, 1/4 pie is enough to satisfy most people. I can't speak to the service as we got the food online. However, the pizzas themselves were awesome. The Bawk-B-Que was decent but the Honey I Shrunk the Pickle was extremely good. Hands down, the best pizza I've eaten in Portland. I almost dropped the box because of how crazy heavy the pizza was, and yet, somehow, the Sicilian-style pizza is crazy light. I am normally not a fan of crust, but this pizza takes all of the toppings to the edge, and, with the way it's cooked, the crust crispy, but still airy. The folks over at Ranch really need to get their shit together. I ordered ahead, and got there a little early. When I checked in the server said it'd be about 8 minutes. I bought a soda and sat down to wait. While sitting there the two people working were arguing the whole time. About 8 minutes after I arrived one of them brought out a pizza and set it on the counter, just a few feet away from me, but didn't say anything to me. I figured it was someone else's, but after waiting another 15 minutes I finally asked if my order was done yet. The mystery pizza was actually mine and no one had bothered to tell me, or call out my name or even click the "order ready" button on the square site. I'm going to say that Ranch PDX is quickly becoming a pizza staple in our family despite the drive from Vancouver. We order ahead online and the timing is pretty much spot on. I'm a big fan of Ex Novo's Detroit style pizza so I've been eager to try Ranch too! It definitely lived up to the hype. The location inside Baerlic Brewing is nice! It's a large space with plenty of tables and not TOO loud. Family friendly as proven by the many children running around on the Saturday night I visited The pizza is really good! You get a pretty big pizza for a good price. I thought they'd be smaller like Ex Novo serves, so my group of 4 ordered 2 pizzas but we could have had one and it would be plenty.
