I regularly go to Ashley every 2 weeks and she is literally AMAZING. I came to her from a different place that I went to when I lived farther up north, but wanted a more convenient location. Ashley gave me exactly what I wanted, super full and feathery. She doesn't count lashes, she just makes sure you're happy with the way they look. I will not go anywhere else!! I don't get lashes on the regular, maybe for a couple of seasons every year, but Blink Beauty is my go-to salon in town, and Gloria's my lady! I had a bad experience at another place in town a while back, and Gloria fixed me up and helped me ensure my natural lashes stay healthy, and she doesn't go overboard, as I love a more natural look. Although if you're going for more a more glamorous look for an event she can definitely do that too. The salon is gorgeous, Gloria pays attention to every detail, and takes excellent care of her clients. I'm obsessed with my new eyelash extensions. Seriously, why did I not do this before? Gloria is super wonderful and fun to talk to, and really pays attention to your eyes, face shape, and personal style so you get lashes that really look like you. Gloria is the best in the business!! She is very conscientious and makes sure the lashes really hold. I was worried that I sometimes have allergic reactions to chemicals around my eyes. She put in a few lashes free of charge so that I could try them out. I love, love, love my lashes. I can go without make-up and not look half dead. (In my 50's so it doesn't take much to look dull!) Went to Blink for my first ever lash extensions. Brittany Snow was my artist. I AM AMAZED at the intricate detail and amazing job that Brittany did. She was a great conversationalist, kind, hip, and overall contributed soley to my wonderful experience. I went to Brittany at Blink Beauty and I COULD NOT be happier! I have very fine, short lashes and they tend to fall out when they are curled. Brittany helped give me longer, fuller lashes and even gave me great advice for overall lash care to help them look even better upon my next visit. I will definitely be going back regularly! After checking out all the fantastic yelp reviews for Blink Beauty, I decided to check this place out and I met with Brooke. She told me right away that my lashes were a bit wonky and removed most of them. She fixed them, or so I thought. I was thankful to find a spot that knew what they were doing and being honest about it. I began coming in for re-lash appointments religiously. My first red flag was the fact that Brooke only scheduled me for times she was available. If she was booked, too bad. It was her or nothing. When I asked about scheduling with Gloria, she was cold about it, and not really helpful with times. I ended up only booking my appointments with Brooke. Sometimes the lashes would be too long and get tangled or.. several (3-4) would fall out in the first two days. I didn't really have too much of an issue with this, I thought my lashes looked great! I thought it was my fault the lashes were being tangled. I requested smaller lashes to help with the tangling and was re-lashing contently until my last re-lash with Brooke. The appointment went as usual, I went to bed that night and woke up with swollen, puffy red eye lids all along the lashes. It didn't hurt, but it looked like something VERY WRONG happened with my eyelids. I called Brooke immediately and left a message. She responded later coldly saying it was an allergic reaction and that I should take some benadryl, and if it didn't clear up, to come in and she would give me some special steroid cream to clear it up. She was cold, per usual, and unapologetic so, I figured/hoped this was no big deal, even though, I never had an allergic reaction like this before. The benadryl turned out to be a joke, and when I drove out of my way to see Brooke and get her special steroid cream, she was snooty, and gave me 1 droplet of her cream. (She said I wouldn't need much.) She didn't even want to look at my lids or be near me! I left Blink Beauty that day knowing I had been wronged, but not knowing how. Brooke wasn't saying anything. I was on my own. When the drop of the special steroid creme didn't work and the inflammation started moving up my eyelids and itching, I decided to go to my eye doctor. He examined my eyes and eyelids and informed me that Brooke was gluing lashes to my eyelid and gluing more than one fake lash to my natural lashes, (2 on 1) putting unnecessary weight on my lashes, weakening them. He wrote me a prescription for a steroid creme and sent me on my way. When I went to the pharmacy to fill my prescription, I realized why Brooke was so stingy with her special steroid creme. A little tube, a mere 3 grams will cost you $200. The creme works like a miracle, but it took me around 2 months of healing, removing Blink Beauty's lashes, and getting an entire new set, loss of time, money and a little bit of my faith in people... but I felt it would be an entire injustice if I didn't share my experience. I remember laying on the table talking with Brooke and thanking her for her good work... relieved that I didn't have any of those horror story issues other girls had with their lashes. I wonder if she was gluing lashes to my eyelid while I spoke? My last interaction with her was a text from her asking if I was canceling the appointment I had booked at my last re-lash. My reply was "yeah, cancel". Never heard from her again. I'd avoid this place because there are other lash salons that have better beds, better prices, better lashes, better lash glues (and selections) and most of all, HONEST LASH TECHNICIANS. I mean, maybe Gloria is cool, but I'd never know. Thanks for everything, Brooke. read more

Once you go to Gloria its hard to trust anyone else to do your lashes! I am always excited to get my eyelashes done because that means I can lay down and relax and trust her to do an amazing job as always. In a busy world its important to pamper yourself occasionally and this is the perfect way to do so. My lashes are super straight and no matter how many times I put on mascara or curl it, within 5 mins they are straight and dull. Now I NEVER have to worry about it again. And the extra bonus is you never have to worry if your mascara is running or looking flaky. Just make sure not to get your lashes wet in the 24 hours after the appointment. This will help them stay on longer! read more

I have recently moved from LA to Austin for a new job, and of course the first thing I had to find was a place to get my lashes done! I've been getting them for over 5 years and am very particular about the way the look. I looked up a number of places on Yelp and read all of the reviews, and decided to go with Blink. My appointment was with Ashley and from the moment I walked in, I knew this was it. The woman at the front was very welcoming, and Ashley brought me into her room and started out by asking if I knew what I liked, and of course I did. Ashley was so sweet and patient as I explained that I liked my lashes long, but not "Halloween" long. And that I liked them a little thicker to get the mascara look without looking overdone. Yes, I'm one of "those" when it comes to my lashes, but I work at a gym so I hardly wear makeup and I talk to people ALL day so I need to look put together. Ashley was really patient and gave me her thoughts on lengths, sizes and how she wanted to lay them out so I would get the look I wanted without overdoing it. After all was said and done, I LOVE her work, she nailed it. I've already received a few compliments from people from work and I couldn't be happier. Overall a really goo experience. Great vibe and music, Gloria made me feel really comfortable for my first time getting a wax. Two issues though: 1.) the room was dark, so I feel she couldn't exactly see all the hairs on my legs, and when she finished, she didn't ask me to check over and see if she missed any spots [there are a few large spots of long hair I noticed] and 2.) When I called to make an appointment, I let them know it was my first time getting a wax, and they didn't tell me to exfoliate, so I had a lot of ingrown hair left. I was going to another studio for my eyelash extensions and was just not happy with the quality of the service and product I was getting. I researched a couple different places, and was so pleasantly surprised with the friendly and helpful service I got over the phone at Blink when I called. I booked an appointment immediately. When I came in for my first fill, I met Brittany and instantly was impressed with her professionalism and attention to detail!! She not only did a fantastic job on my lashes, but she was also super sweet, easy to talk to and incredibly informative about the process. I was considering getting rid of my extensions until I found Brittany, but now I love them so much that I won't even consider getting rid of them! She spent an extra 15-20 min over our allotted time just to make sure that the lashes were perfect and that I was going to be happy with them!
