Kinda miss the private space up front for a more secluded workout away from everyone, but they replaced it with something better. They have water massage chairs, a massage gun and leg compression devices for those sore muscles. You will have to get their next level membership and reserve in advance, but most of the time i've used them right after my workout with no problem. I also noticed that they have newer cleaner mats. I've been using the gym for 5 months. The gym is always clean. The staff is good, Monday through Friday, nothing special. When it's Saturday or Sunday around 5 p.m., they close the bathrooms and say they're damaged. They close the gym early and the employee say we have to use the bathrooms at the dinner next door. The experience was terrible. I don't recommend this gym to anyone. read more

I was a member of this gym since it opened (I only cancelled my membership bc I moved): Pros: they do a great job keeping it clean and keeping the equipment running, the staff is very nice, and it's a good price. Cons: women's locker room sink water smells funky and toilets are often clogged. The music over the speakers is TOO F'N LOUD in the stretching area. The gym gets overrun by high schoolers who come in packs and sit on their phones on the machines with no awareness of anyone else's existence from ~3pm-9pm. If you join, come in the morning. It's too crowded to get a good workout in otherwise. read more

This gym has everything you need to get a great workout for a good price! It is a very affordable gym with all the amenities that you need. They have tons of treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, bikes and more! As for weights, they have all the necessary machines and tons of space for free weights. They have two bench press stations and a good amount of squat racks! They have deadlift equipment and also a nice padded area for stretching and rolling out after a workout. They also have free to use lockers if you just bring your own lock! The staff is very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Lastly, most gyms I've been to are kinda dirty especially the bathroom, however, this facility is kept in a very clean condition. I usually go anytime before 5 pm and never have to really wait for any of the weights or machines that I need to use. Parking is 25 cents for every 30 minutes in the lot near the building. The staff also has change if you didn't bring any! They have a map of the areas for free parking on the front door of the gym. I would highly recommend this place! read more

This gym is all you can imagine for an affordable gym. It is fairly priced and the staff is always friendly and courteous. They are very diligent with sanitizing the gym and cleaning every station. That being said, it is quite small in size and only offer one of each leg machine for example the leg press, every gym should have two in my opinion but they do what they can with the space that's available. Over all it is a decent gym even if you are advanced just be prepared to wait for the leg machines. read more

Fairly clean and equipment works. But...staff needs to institute equipment time limits as some people will park at the half racks for an hour, text in between sets and not allow other people to use them. Definitely not a good place to get a leg workout because of this. Resting for five minutes to text and BS in between sets is not only wasting your own time but is rude when this gym does have an overcrowding issue. read more

There should seriously be limitations on the FOUR squat racks they have since they are hogged up for 45 plus time. You can't get a proper workout in unless you get here at 5AM. Great gym, they have 90% of what I need to get the job done. But what really made join was not only the nice staff, but the cleanliness at this location (Not sure about other locations). They also provide multiple stations filled with cleaning wipes to wipe down before or after using machines/benches etc. Ive been at this location for a couple of months now (slow and busy hours) and never have I ever experienced a day when there wasn't any wipes. So big shout out to the janitors/cleaning staff that help maintain the cleanliness of this gym. You play a big part keeping us loyal members of blink fitness! read more

For such an affordable membership fee it's got a good selection of modern equipment. It naturally gets overcrowded at peak afternoon/evening times, as with all gyms. Ive never had an issue with parking but be aware of the metered or private parking. My biggest complaint is the insanely loud generic EDM they play throughout the gym. It's very hard to get "in the zone" when you're forced to listen to someone else's playlist. Music taste is subjective! read more

I have been to many different gyms in Bergen & Essex county (Club Metro, Planet Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, etc.) and have never had such a consistently great experience than @ this Blink. The machines are always working, everything is always very clean, and the staff is really positive & friendly. The layout of the gym is super intuitive, which makes it easy for new gym members to quickly find what they need. People are generally respectful here, except the "bros" who leave their water bottle next to machines to hog them when they aren't actively using them! Other than that, the culture is pretty great there. Very happy with Blink Nutley! read more

Not a bad place but has turned into individuals personal training facility. People set up an area for a half hour and utilize as their own personal gym. Today one member was in the back corner using 4 different machines including cables. I asked if she was using all of these machines and she said yes. 45 minutes later she is still taking up the entire area and machines. There is absolutely no gym etiquette here. You can pretty much come here and set up shop and take over part of the gym as your own. The staff is completely oblivious and sits in the front making sure to say have a great day to everyone instead and walking around and handling these issues. read more

Ridiculous that the gym doesn't have reliable parking for its patrons. It's especially annoying if you go to the gym everyday. They scheduled my free start up session on 2/14/2020, yes Valentines day. Received a text message on thursday from the trainer wanting to reschedule because "Valentines Day has me at dinner reservations for 6:30!" Which is totally fine. I understand you have a date and its valentines day. So we reschedule for the next day with another trainer. I walked in the next day saying I have a session with their trainer and guess what I was never rescheduled. Fine okay probably forgot. Eh good thing there was another trainer available. As a personal trainer, one of the things you should do is correct my form if I'm doing it wrong, esp when I already told the trainer I can't do this specific workout. Now my shoulder is in pain for dayssss.. and she told me "the body you want, you'll probably get in 2-3 yrs, with me I can help you get it in 6mos or less..." thats how you get injured and don't discourage other people esp if they are working hard. The gym and equipment themselves are very good, but the staff is awful. A had an issue with an obnoxious trainer who was working with someone else and tried to "reserve" a fitness machine. The rest of the staff spend their time with their faces buried in their phones. Members will get on a resistance machine work a set and then sit on the machine watching videos for ten minutes. Staff members walk by and say nothing. It's like no one cares. People do what they want and the staff says nothing. Perhaps they need to spend less time on their phones or hanging around at the front desk with coworkers. read more

Very excited for this newly opened gym located right off of Franklin Avenue in Nutley. The location is great as there are plenty of places that are walking distance from the gym to grab your post workout meal or a beverage. Parking located right in the back of the gym. This gym not only provides new equipment but they provide updated equipment that other locations do not provide. read more

Nutley Blink has a friendly staff, is spacious, well-equipped and clean. Members respect each others' personal space and wipe their equipment down, so no reason not to feel comfortable working out here as we hopefully near the end of the pandemic. Please, no more calls for mandatory mask-wearing. At this point, we know they offer little to no protection. read more

This is one of the better gyms in the area especially when it comes to gym chains. It's well maintained unlike other gyms and people are courteous enough to put weights back where they belong and wipe down the machines. This location also tends to not be as crowded as the other ones in the area. I've gone between 4-7 PM and while it is busy it's never extremely crowded and you don't usually have to wait for more than a few minutes if any to use a machine. The only downside to this gym is the lack of free parking as the parking lot next to the gym requires you to pay in order for you to use it. However if you look hard enough there's usually some free parking in the area during the less busy times of the day read more

I joined Blink Fitness Nutley in January of 2019. I had only gone a few times and decided to cancel. I personally went into the gym in March and cancelled. I was told my membership was paid until April and at that time it would expire. In June I received notification from my bank that I had fraudulent charges on my card from multiple places. They canceled my card and reissued my new card. At that time I received notification from Blink that my payment didn't go through. They claimed I signed up again online. Although I explained my situation they continue to harass me for payment. Two months later I was told I have to file a police report. It's horrible how im being harassed like this. Horrible customer service. I could not imagine ever again considering a membership if this is how they treat people. Even though my bank recognized the fraudulent charges I'm still dealing with Blink Fitness. Having your Debit card compromised is bad enough in itself but it's been further compounded by the treatment from Blink Fitness. Please reconsider gyms if this is how they treat people. Update: The response I received from Blink Fitness regarding this review is that they always try to be transparent about their cancellation policies. How is that even relevant to someone who falls victim to identity theft? A police report has been filed with Nutley police department. My take away from this situation: I apparently have to study cancellation policies of all businesses just in case I fall victim to identity theft/credit fraud again in the future. Word to The wise: It's apparently not enough to have a bank identify charges as fraudulent, remove the charges from your account and issue a new debit card. Even after submitting the police report filed I continue to get harassed by the law offices affiliated with Blink Fitness. As long as I continue to be harassed I will continue to post negative comments about Blink Fitness. Would you want to have any affiliation with a corporation that harasses someone after they have taken all the proper steps in filing a police report and had their bank show it was credit fraud? I am very close to hiring a lawyer myself. It started out with a $1 charge to the account. How desperate and pathetic of a corporation do you have to be? Then club manager is just a negative male First impression goes a long way and that I will never forget. Never going to this location or any blink ever again just because of my experience!
