However, after they recently installed a new system, I started receiving an unusual amount of text messages, sometimes two per day, since March. With my appointment coming up this week, I simply wanted to make them aware that something might be off with the system. Instead of a constructive response, I was met with arguments and harsh replies, presumably from the owner or an assistant. When I mentioned that maybe I should consider canceling my appointment, they took it upon themselves to cancel it without further discussion. The entire exchange was unprofessional, curt, and certainly not how I would expect a loyal, monthly client who tips generously to be treated. Their response was essentially, "We'll solve the problem by canceling your appointment." That's not a solution.it's a poor attempt at damage control. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone based on that experience. What they didn't expect was that I'd be able to find another salon just around the corner, with amazing reviews and no issues booking an appointment within minutes. To whoever is managing the phone or client communication: I suggest putting the phone down, taking a breath, and thinking carefully before responding in such a dismissive and unprofessional manner.
