This fabulous salon was highly recommended by the women from GirlTalk Network! I am so happy I came here! This salon is awesome!! I've been coming here for almost a year now and the only thing I regret is not finding them sooner! My stylist, Cindy, is patient, thorough, and highly skilled in lash application and waxing. I haven't tried airbrush tanning yet. My eyebrows can get a bit frazzled in between waxes but are ON POINT after Cindy is finished with them! As for lashes, I always get the "Karla" and they stay on for up to 4 weeks without any irritation or issues (even when I accidentally sleep on my face...oops). I've decreased my beauty ritual time by at least 30 minutes because of the lashes (my boyfriend is forever grateful)! BTW, the lash removal process by Sabrina is gentle and painless. I had my eyelashes done at Blink Studio on a Friday . I came here because of all the wonderful yelp reviews and I am sad to say I didn't have the experience I was hoping for. Karla put my eyelashes on and was very informative on what to do and what not to do. I took in every word so that I would get the most out of my brand new set of silk lashes. I changed the way I washed my hair, my face, and I even wore goggles in the shower. By night two I had 10-15 fall out. By the following friday (just one week), it looked so bad I was embarrassed. I asked for a PARTIAL refund since she used her products and she gave me her time. I told her I was an unhappy customer. She made me feel shame by accusing me it was probably due to my practices. Needless to say, I am a very unhappy with her service. I think it's important to know as a consumer that Karla and Cindy are not certified by the California Board and Barbering and Cosmetology. Cindy is AMAZING! I came in after having my brows messed up by a nail salon lady and after having grown them out for 5-6 weeks and I am STOKED at how great they look. Cindy is professional, personable, knowledgable and just all around good at what she does. Now, I can see why all the positive reviews. As I had such a fantastic experience at Blink, I felt compelled to comment to help others when they are trying a new place for the first time. I have never done a spray tan for fear of looking like an oompa loompa, but have always wanted to. When in Manhattan Beach for work, a friend suggested I try Blink. Carla immediately made me feel comfortable (I had tons of questions and she answered them all happily). I came here two weeks ago for a spray tan by Karla. The service and results are great. I told Karla that I am breastfeeding and don't want spray tan on my breasts. So she gave me a disposable bandeau to wear which worked beautifully. I have really pale skin and I didn't want to look too fake, so Karla custom blended a color for me so that I could look the shad that I wanted. She also gave me sticky things for the bottoms of my feet. This was the most real looking spray tan I ever had. No streaks, no darkness at the wrists, hands, or feet. And the shade was nice and tan looking and not orange. I really love this place. My only regret is that I am moving out of the area next month so that was probably my one and only time. This is my second set of extensions from Blink Studio. I must say everyone is so personable. My first time getting them done was about a month ago & I was in love with them after they settled with my real lashes. Cindy & I laughed & talked and she was all around amazing. Karla & Tiffany were also very nice. On a scale of 1-5 they are a 10. Not only was I satisfied with the service I received but also how Cindy took her time & made sure every lash was placed correct & perfectly. I've been wanting to get eyelash extensions for a while so I finally got them . I'm so happy and thrilled with the work Cindy did on my eyelashes. They are weightless. Thank goodness I found this amazing studio when I moved to the SouthBay from West LA. Prior to finding Blink, I was driving to Beverly Hills just to get my eyelashes done. I'm so glad that part of my life is over! I've been going to Karla for over a year now and I'm obsessed! She always does an excellent job and the lashes stay on for close to 3 weeks!! That's a long time considering that I'm in a hot yoga studio 5-6 times a week. I'm on the silk membership and I always go extra long -- trust me I feel naked/not-so-pretty without the lashes. I normally don't wear make up with lash extensions and once you get them, you'll see why I say you don't need make up. The studio is tucked away in a small office area it looks a little run down on the inside but the studio feels very zen and welcoming. Kayla (an adorable white dog) is always there to greet you and makes everyone feel like family. It's a relaxed atmosphere and it's always a pleasant place to spend an hour. Plus: there's a nice warm bed for you to lay on while you get pampered. read more

This place is amazing!! I was referred to Blink Studio by one of my girlfriends when I complained about having to sit around smelling like rancid, burnt kettle corn for 12 hours every time I went to my old spray tan place on PCH in Hermosa Beach (which shall remain nameless but rhymes with "Fanning Tot". I don't want to trash the place since everyone was incredibly friendly & nice there, but now I realize how bare bones and ghetto it was). That said, this place is a class act. Well-decorated and spa-like, Karla gives you sticky things to put on the bottom of your feet so they don't get all crazy orange (like they do when you have to walk through all the wet tanning liquid at the "Fanning Tot"). Also, she helps you apply the lotion on your hands and feet to make sure your distal extremities don't get too dark. The room the spray tan is done in is comfortably warm, so you aren't freezing and the Express tan I got had very little scent to it. She also dusts you down with baby powder afterward so you aren't sticky when you go home and dries you off with what reminds me of a giant hair dryer...as opposed to the "Fanning Tot", where you stand on sticky tile, drip drying in a cold room in front of a huge industrial fan, then go home reeking and covered in a syrupy, stinky mess...which you then have to stew in for 12 hours. Best of all??? You can rinse off Blink Studio's Express tanner after ONLY THREE HOURS!! Holy cow, where's this place been all my life?!?!? I am incredibly impressed by this place and with Karla. She's incredibly sweet and you can tell that she really LOVES what she does and she's incredibly knowledgeable. The differences between Blink Studio vs. my old place, the "Fanning Tot", are like night and day. This will be my go-to spray tan studio from here on out!! read more

Faaaaaantastic! The reviews are well earned!! I was a bit skeptical that there were so many positive things being said, and esp since no one was really mentioning the unmentionables. So I'm here to let you know that their brazilian bikini wax lives up to the hype that apparently surrounds the eyelash extensions. Cindy made me feel super comfortable and she used hard wax on the worst parts, something I'd never experienced. While it still didn't feel amazing it felt considerably better than other brazilians I've had. It was seriously the least painful wax I've ever done. Bit hard to find so turn by Walgreen's off of Sepulveda and then make your first right. It's in the back of the 2100 building. I parked in the neighborhood. Free, convenient, easy. Let me start off by saying how cute this place is. I was looking for a location to get a Brazilian wax for the first time. Of course as it being the first time I wanted to make sure I went to a clean place and with someone who knew what they were doing. I came across Blink Studio here on Yelp and of course it happens to be above the shopping center were I work so it was perfect. I made an appointment with Cindy and she was amazing. I was scared but at the same time excited especially since I was going away for my birthday weekend. I went to Blink based on the incredible reviews here on Yelp and am unfortunately regretting it. I debated writing this because the women are so incredibly nice and I don't like writing bad reviews but in my 7 years of getting lash extensions, this is the worst I've ever had. The first set of lashes I got with Blink was the Karla (mix of Mink and Silk). They looked amazing when I left but a couple days later they were sagging down and all clumped together. Then they started falling out by the handful - literally - I had clumps of up to eight lashes glued together coming out at once which was super painful. I chalked it up to the style (she told me she was stacking them) so I planned on getting the silk for my fill thinking that would be better. I explained that this happened and she was gracious enough to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment to fix them but I could tell she was annoyed and the work showed it. Unfortunately now I have lashes not only clumped together (again!) but literally glued to my skin with big black glue dots all over both eyes (it's been about a week since that appointment and they're still there). They have so many other great reviews I'm really surprised by my experience. I considered going back a third time to see if we could get it right but at this point I'm saving my lashes and finding an Xtreme lash stylist that is meticulous about the "one lash per one lash" rule. read more

Went in to get lash extensions for the first time as a birthday present for myself. I was really nervous and didn't know exactly what to expect and exactly what it was going to consist of. Cindy helped me and she was great. She was extremely meticulous not only in the application of the lashes but also in explaining how to take care of them so that they could really make the most out of them. She was also really great at explaining the difference between the silk and mink lashes, which I was completely oblivious about. I ended up going for the silk lashes for more of a natural look, Needless to say that my lashes came out AMAZING! She said I'd be addicted and she is right!! I loved how dramatic they looked for my birthday event and then how naturally they fell into place. I was able to keep them for about a month and I'm definitely recommending Cindy to all my friends and family. Can't wait for my next set!! read more

I feel bad writing this since the girls who work here are super nice but I do feel that they need to work on their lash skills....when I left they LOOKED great however after a couple days it became clear that the lashes were clumped together and not applied how they are supposed to be which is one extension per real lash. Because she attached an extension to multiple real lashes once they started growing out it was painful and itchy and resulted in the loss of many of my real lashes. I've attached pictures. This is NOT how extensions are supposed to be applied. I was horrified when they started falling out in clumps. As you can see there's a spider of real lashes which is such a shame to lose them because of a poor extension job. The other shocking picture is a clump of 8!!!!!! Extensions that were glued together. Completely crazy....I've been doing extensions for over 4 years and have never had this issue until coming to this salon. Sorry to say since the girl who did mine was one of the owners...I think perhaps a class on how to property attach them is in order. Update- WOW! They got yelp to remove my pictures. I've been wearing extensions continuously for many years and have been super fortunate to have the most talented people work on me. I went to Blink over the summer because my regular lash artist was on vacation and the yelp reviews seemed quite good. Please know that I do not enjoy writing bad reviews at all. The ladies are very nice and the studio is lovely, but my lashes were really, really bad. If I had read this review I would have waited and saved myself time, money and lost lashes. I am used to a super hygenic, licensed aesthetician who is a meticulous lash artist who places each extension independently in place on a single lash with precision tweezers. She tapers the lengths and diameters to look totally natural and full and they grow out completely separate with none of them pulling on each other. That is what I expect from a lash professional. Unfortunately what I got at Blink was a tangled spiderweb. I'm fairly certain the lady who applied my lashes did not wash her hands, which was a bit of a red flag for me, but I assumed she would be using tweezers, wearing a face mask and using a magnifying light. None of the above. I repeatedly asked if she applies each extension separately, one lash per lash and she kept saying yes, they are singles...but that's not what I was asking. Essentially, I had a mass of singles glued and clumped together, by hand, along my lash line. The full set only took 35-40 minutes, and cost plenty, that is not a good thing. While they looked acceptable enough in an "I'm wearing fake lashes" way, there was no precision involved, which equaled a painful mess and a lot of lash fallout. They started to twist and pull on each other in a tangled web within 2 days. I did not feel comfortable going back to have them removed at Blink based on how bad the application was. Thankfully I was able to get in with my regular artist a few days later who slowly, carefully and painstakingly soaked and removed them all. I've learned my lesson. Always take a really good look at the person's lashes who are doing yours and if you have any red flag moments, at any time, stop and wait. Lash extensions should not be painful, webbed together or applied carelessly. read more

Nothing less than amazing! I first came across Blink Studio via Groupon when searching for an eyelash extension salon. The majority of the salons I researched had sketchy websites and terrible reviews. To my surprise, I stumbled upon their website and was instantly impressed. I was hesitant prior to my first appointment and couldn't help but think about all that could go wrong since it was my first time getting eyelash extensions. My first appointment was a great first impression. Cindy and Karla are honest, good-hearted, hardworking, and great at what they do! I could not believe how painless the process was with Cindy. You never even feel a thing and it goes by so quickly with the great conversation. They both make you feel so comfortable and welcome. I knew it was going to be very difficult to get a same day appointment at a reputable place, but lucky me there happened to be a cancellation that day and I was paired with Karla.
