However, her lack of reliability is why I want to warn brides elsewhere. I booked Michelle in August of 2018 for my July 2019 wedding. In March of 2019 she canceled on me for "a family issue." She offered to immediately send back my deposit with an extra $25 for the inconvenience. I told her just the deposit was fine, I didn't want to profit off of someone who had a family circumstance. I was imagining the worst, did a family member pass and they were planning a memorial that weekend, did someone need a scheduled surgery? Anyways over a week went by and I didn't receive my $70 deposit back. I had to follow up to get it back, fortunately I did almost two weeks later. I was struggling to find a new artist in such short notice, everyone was booked up, so I asked Michelle for recommendations. She never responded. After over 30 emails/calls and over a week of struggling I finally I found a make up artist who traveled and was available. After all that struggle you want to know what her "family issue" was? A vacation at a water park. She canceled on my wedding day because of her poor planning to reserve time for a vacation. Bride beware - nobody wants to struggle to reschedule vendors.
