We all want to feel cared for and listened to anytime we see a medical professional. You WON'T get that here. Here is an example of the dialog that went on between me and the NP: NP: "Do you have a primary care physician to whom I can forward information from this visit?" Me: "Well, I just moved here so it's a bit complicated. I do in the city I just moved from..." NP: cuts me off and says, "so I take that as a no." NP: "So what brings you in today?" Me: "I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, and for me, that's usually the first sign of a cold... (as I say this, she, for some reason, starts chuckling in a very rude, condescending way)...But I'm not experiencing any other cold symptoms, which I find unusual, so I'm here to make sure it's not strep." NP: "Do you have a fever?" Me: "I felt a bit feverish last night." NP: (with an annoyed look on her face) "Did you take your temperature?" Me: "No, I don't have a thermometer." NP: "ok, so no, you do not have a fever." There were several instances when anytime I gave anything more than a yes or no answer, her tone would get very impatient. In a very dismissive tone, she said I didn't have strep while she got the test ready, almost like she was saying, "ugh, I don't think you have strep but fine I'll test you for it." It got to a point where I had to bite my tongue from calling her out on her bad attitude. I HATE that I wasted a $20 copay on this. Please don't waste your time, well-being, and money here.
