After sitting in my chair for about two hours while they're getting their hair done I decided to go for a walk and discovered Bliss. I must say by far the best experience I've ever had and any nail salon, this is due to outstanding service and a wonderful girl named Henna. She was one of the most gentle creatures I've ever met and I had zero pain like several other places I've been to. I have been a client at Bliss for the entire time they've been open (around 16+ years or so). The staff takes time to get to know you, the quality of the services are amazing (I have natural nails and don't do gel, acrylics or dip - just old fashioned mani/pedi so I can't speak to those other services). But I personally LOVE that there is not a TV blaring, a huge room of spa pedicure chairs and harsh lighting. I moved to the area in November and was looking for a spa to undo the stress of moving. It was a perfect spa pedicure experience and I keep coming back! I've had pedicures from several staff, Long, Mary, Mimi. Manicures from Don, Kathy and others that I can't remember over 9 months. You simply can't go wrong with any of the technicians. I've also had a terrific neck, shoulder, and head chair massage with Mary's strong hands. That is a great treat. During the massage portion of the pedicure, they close a drape and lower the lights and cease chatting so you can relax. The spa chairs have massage, of course. It's usually pretty busy, so make an appointment and BRING CASH. They prefer that you pay for your services with cash. read more

This really is a gem of a nail salon. Very clean and elegant and the staff is super attentive. Instead of a loud TV in the background, they play soothing, relaxing music. Mary did my shellac manicure (she also gives great hand massages) and was very meticulous about it. In some places they will charge 5 dollars extra for a French manicure, but this place does not which is a definite plus. I am giving this salon 3 stars for one reason, the 30 massage I indulged in, with Mary was a 4 star experience. She was very relaxing, yet firm and super friendly! As for the acrylic fill-in, I got...I would have given the work and experience 2 stars. The lady, LeAnn, was so rude. She never said hello or smiled. She spoke to the other manicurist (next to us) in her foreign language almost the whole time and when she "burned" my nails with the electric file she was annoyed by my outburst of "ouch" and gave me the meanest look. My completed nails are ridged & rough around the edges, and my polish is thin and needs another coat. (I did bring in my own color, and it was a thin polish but instead of 2 coats, she should have done 3) I know there are a lot of "supposedly" happy people giving better ratings to this salon, but in my opinion, this market is pretty saturated and the next time I need to get a manicure, I will go try a new place. Unfortunately, the best manicurist is in Hurst and too far for regular visits. read more

The people here are so friendly and willing to get you in and out quick! I wasn't in a hurry but the second I sat down I had someone on my toes and fingers, which was super nice (and rare these days). I loved Mimi and the man that did my nails may have been the owner or someone else in charge. They did wonderful. Taking off 1 star because their polish selection could use some work but they have a GREAT selection of gel and nexgen dip powders. I've been going here for years when I'm in town, and I wouldn't imagine taking my business anywhere else. They are always so friendly, remembering your name and other details about you. The place is always so clean, I'd eat off the floor if they asked me. Comfortable, lush decor. Great selection of services, and colors - all for a super affordable price anyone can afford. My landlords (friends I live with?) got 2 GCs that they didn't want, so I gladly took them off their hands. This was my first manicure, and fourth pedi ever, and wow wow wow WOW!! I had Kate do my nails, and Long (one of the owners?) did my feet/toes. They were both miracle workers, and they did such a wonderful job! Even better (worse?) because I'm dumb and clumsy I completely screwed up the polish job on my big toe on my right foot. I was so embarrassed, and felt awful about ruining their work, that I just asked for some polish remover to clean the excess off, and to not worry about what I carelessly ruined. Long insisted that he redo it, and plopped himself down on the floor and redid my toe and touched up the rest to a flawless finish. Afterwards, I ended up hanging out and chatting with the receptionist and Long for a bit and they were just so wonderful!! Bliss has been my go to nail salon for years! They give fantastic foot and leg massages! I was so surprised the first time I went as it seems most salons that is an afterthought. Clearly not here! Maybe my experience was just on a bad day. The nail tech was very nice but the polish didn't last as long as other places. If you don't pay for the deluxe pedi, you get a regular chair and a small plastic tub for your feet. No nice chair with a massage and not like other nail places in the area where you pay for a basic pedi and you still receive good treatment. read more

This weekend was my third trip to the salon. Each of the previous trips the results were so so especially for my pedicure. I have had prdicures & artificial nails for many years & have had much better. I came back again because my husband had gotten me a gift certificate for a manicure & pedicure. When I arrived & was picking out polish colors I dropped a bottle on the floor that shattered & the glass cut my leg in 2 places. It was my fault & I felt awful but there was blood all running down my leg as well as nail polish on my leg, shoes as well as the floor. It took awhile for any employee to react or for anyone to come over. When they looked over they saw the blood but no one asked if I was alright. When the employee finally came over he was down on the floor picking up the bottle & staring at the bottom of it. I expected him to hand me some paper towels, ask how I was or SOMETHING. Finally I said what are you doing? He responded that he had to find out what color the polish was so he could replace it!!! REALLY?!?! I finally reached over & got my own paper towels & cleaned myself up. I was amazed at the lack of care by Long the owner, the receptionist or the guy they sent over. Finally I picked my color & headed into the manicure room. I had a tissue in my hand that I had used to continue blotting my bleeding leg with while the lady did my pedicure. When the lady came in to do my manicure she asked for my hands. I sat down the tissue on the table next to me that I had been using to blot the blood from my leg. The manicurist picked it up & I assumed it was to throw it out. She then put nail polish remover on THE USED BLOODY TISSUE & PROCEEDED TO START TAKING MY FINGERNAIL POLISH OFF WITH IT!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! I seriously could not believe it. I said excuse me WHY would you pick up a dirty bloody kleenex & then try to reuse it?!?! Oh sorry she said & looked at me like I was crazy. The same woman also put a wad of lotion on my hands & arms & I had to say STOP as she went right over my James Avery bracelet, wedding & engagement rings. Geez most places let you take your jewelry off before they drench you in lotion. These people need some training in customer service to say the least. read more

After reading reviews about the amazing pedicures I decided to set up an appt for my boyfriend and I as a treat to ourselves. The pedicures were indeed fantastic! I almost fell asleep it was so relaxing. I loved that they had privacy curtains to shield from the rest of the pedicure room. They also had low lighting during the massage which really set the mood. My boyfriend being a logistic type timed the massage and he said it was exactly 30 minutes. We had Mary and Mimi and they were super friendly and nice. Even though it's a bit of a drive for me I will definitely go again when I need some me time! read more
