The building is always really clean which I appreciate. I've had three consecutive gel french tip manicures and all three were done very well. This one was done by Michelle. Bliss is the Worst Nail Salon in Chico EVER!!!! I asked to get a mani/pedi and they didn't know how I wanted them done after I showed them pictures that my friend did to hers. So I decided to just do my pedicure and they tried to work on my nails to match what my friend did and I just kept saying no that's not what I like and no that's Okayy I'll go when I get home. Nobody was listening. The lady who was showing me the acrylic nail stuff on my pinky her name was Twinny. She kept saying that some other lady filed my nails and that I need to pay them for what they did to them...they didn't even paint my nails or anything. I just paid for my pedicure and told them that you ladies didn't paint my nails so I'm not paying for that. So stupid. I think I'm going to try Bliss Salon by Mangrove I've heard they are better and more experienced. The staff acted like they were inexperienced, I'm so going to another place after this. read more

Wonderful pedicures, great chairs, always open to walk-ins. I rarely have time to schedule an appointment and they're always willing to work me into their schedule. I see Jason for my nails every time because he does a wonderful job! They even stay late when people show up right before closing. This place looks really nice and clean, the people who work here seem friendly, BUT it's pretty much the worst quality pedicure I've ever had. I do them myself 90% of the time and they last at least three weeks. The one I got here lasted 2 days before it began chipping. Tai did my pedicure and the polish was super lumpy and uneven. I swear that finding a good nail salon in Chico is impossible. Not only did I have to wait 40 minutes longer for an appointment, Ive never in my life had such a crappy job done on my nails. No attention to detail whatsoever!! All my nails are different lengths shapes and thickness. I'm almost tempted to cut them off as they are kind of embarrassing and look worse than an amateur could do. I will NEVER back there. Do yourself a favor ladies, drive to Sacramento or Roseville where they actually know what they're doing. Not only that, don't ask for anything other than basic nails here. That's all they can do. I decided to try this place out for a pedicure because my roommate goes there to get her nails done. The receptionist is not the friendliest and doesn't seem concerned about customer service. A smile and a "how may I help you" goes a long way. There was a wait since I walked in, so I got put down on a list for later and then came back. The pedicure was nice, the guy who did it was fine until he put the top coat on. The top coat had a different color on the tip of the brush (I guess whoever did the pedicure before put the top coat on wet nail polish) and that was put on my nail. He just left it like that so there are streaks in my nail color of pink when my toes were done a light blue color. He also cut my nails super short, which I did not ask for. Details like that are really unprofessional, therefore I will of be going back. read more

Normally I don't write reviews but I've gone to this place so many times and they always do an awesome job but I was very angry when I left with my acrylics looking chunky and uneven. I called to explain I wanted them removed they said ok and that I'd get 50% of my money back ($20) but they weren't very kind about me wanting them removed and told me they'd fix them but I just wanted them off. In the end this is what they let me walk out of the salon with my nails looking like. Had the worst pedicure yesterday. Kyle talked me into doing a $50 gel pedicure and two of my gel polished toes are already chipped.. big time bummer! Not worth my time or money. He rubbed my legs for 30 seconds and it was suppose to be the deluxe nice pedicure. It was al around not good! He didn't do a good job manicuring my feet at all. I felt rushed and like all he wanted was more money. I'm always willing to pay more for good quality. Had it not been a Sunday when I went, I would have went to Lavish Nails where I would have gotten a pedicure a million times better than this one. Very disappointed! Went here for my birthday. They really pay attention to detail. I loved that they did an amazing french manicure with my real nails and waxed my eyebrows perfectly. Bliss used to be one of my favorite salons to go too, but they've started to go down hill. They aren't very good with their timing or who's been waiting the longest. Every time I get a pedicure, they make faces like they're disgusted. My feet aren't always in the best condition considering I'm wearing tennis shoes for work 5 days a week, but that's why I'm there. To get them looking pretty again and it's a little offending. They seem to gossip with each other as well and that's a little frustrating. Just what you'd expect from a walk-ins welcome type salon! I've been a few different times, always has appointments & have been 15 mins early to each. Each time, they've gotten me in right away. There is usually 8+ nail techs working and they keep themselves busy. They're friendly and they listen to what you're saying. The decor is warm and welcoming - the farthest thing from tacky. The chairs are new, the tables are organized and the whole place just feels clean and well kept. I've been in for gel manis & pedis and haven't been disappointed. The polishes are neatly organized and the selection is great. They're willing to work with what you're looking for & will happily recreate what you show them. Pinterest friendly! They take their time on your nails without keeping you all day. I'm rough on my nails & I've gotten a solid two weeks out of each gel mani & up to three on a gel pedi, can't ask for much more than that. For me, it's a no-brainer, I'm a happy customer. read more

The man doing my nails obviously was going through some stuff in his personal life because he continued to talk to me about his friend who passed away. We came to relax not talk about death.. atleast 2 or 3 times he brought up how upset he was about his friend. I have been here many times in the last 3 years. At this salon you need to know who to ask for, in order to get great service. Gel manicure is usually done well. However toe pedicure was horrible last time I was there. I had asked for a fake toenail on my slightly chipped large toe and it came out horrendous. The gentleman who did it was new, or at least I thought since I never seen him before. He made the fake nail much larger than what my real toenail is and never shaved it down after I complained about it. The lady next to us said he would do it after he finished putting on the gel. So I waited and he barely did anything. I asked for a flower on my toe on said toe as well. Wow. He had to fix it multiple times and did the opposite of what I asked for. I asked for dots and a small flower just like my last ones he took off. He put lines and 1 flower with two half flowers. I'm so irritated because the lady next to him was watching the whole thing and didn't offer to get him help. To top it off he TICKLED my foot! And it wasn't with a pumice stone people. Went in and asked for a full acrylic set. Wanted white tips on all but my ring fingers with the dark pink powder. The guy who was doing my nails seemed inexperienced and didn't like what I had pictured. I told him I wanted my ring finger tips to be a different color and asked if I could see the colors they offered (my first time here too). He continued to tell me that doing 2 colors like that would look bad and he was going to do white. I got tired of arguing so said that was fine.. He also thought the dark pink would look bad so he decided the light was better for me.. Not sure what that means but okay.. I wanted to add color to my nails so he said he would put a colorful flower on my ring fingers. He sent me over to another girl to get the flower, she attempted it a few times but wasn't liking how it was turning out. I told her I was okay without a flower not a big deal. The dude came back kind of pushed the nice lady and said he would do it.. Plopped a few white (no color?) dots on my fingernail and threw a gem on it, then asked the lady to finish.. Not impressed at all for my first time.. Not to mention I feel like I was way over charged. Their sheet said $25 for a full acrylic set I was charged $50!? read more

This was my first visit and they were fantastic. I had a pedicure and gel nails done. I have super sensitive/ticklish feet and they were really gentle. They also give you a long foot and leg massage. I also appreciated that they were very precise and made sure the color was applied perfectly. I will definitely be returning to get my wedding nails done here! read more

I went in two weeks ago to get acrylics. Within 48 hours I was back in the salon getting a fill because one of the nails was falling off around the cuticle. They generously fixed it for free, but the woman who did the replacement had no idea what she was doing and put the wrong sealer on at the wrong time and had to have a coworker come over to correct her. From that point on her coworker walked her through the process. Today, a few days short of two weeks, a nail fell of (painlessly because it was obviously prepared incorrectly) while I was making breakfast. I will not be returning here. read more

Bliss Nails do a really good job for Chico there probably the best Ive tried. I always have Michelle do them and she pays attention to detail and is probably the only person Ive found that actually does my nails to my standards (I have probably tried 75% of the nail salons at least in Chico). I'm super picky about them and she has never had an issue fixing anything with a little extra polish/adding more glitter to a spot or just perfecting them for me. She's nice, talks a bit with you. I have to say minus one time where someone else there seemed to take foreverrrrrrr doing my full set and pedi its been an enjoyable expereince and I've never left unhappy with the way my nails took. BTW. I always get Gel it lasts forever, doesn't chip and is just worth the extra $ to look extra fabulous. ;) read more

I understand going in and having to wait on a busy Sunday afternoon, but to be told a half an hour wait, have it become over an hour of waiting and watching countless people go ahead of me and get their pedicures done, is enough to make someone a little frazzled. My first time here for a Pedicure, I had a young man with very little experience. He left my nails unfilled, my calluses we not removed correctly and he attempted to remove an ingrown nail but got nervous and just left it inside. I didn't see the young man remove the soiled instruments he used on me for sterilization. After the pedicure was done I tried to quietly speak with the owner about the situation and He then started saying something in His language and all of the workers turned to look at me and they all had a conversation about the situation (which in my opinion is very rude) at that point all of the clients in there started looking over at me. So much for trying to be discreet about it! The owner then gave me a $4 dollar discount on the $24 bill! I will not return. read more
