I've been going there for about five years having services consisting of hair styling/cut, facials and massage. I've always experienced top notch, very on time services : ) My experience with the persons that I use for for services have always been extremely pleasant. I had gotten a gift card for a more local spa, (it closed) and then another which was less than. Outstanding service, attentive management, and talented professionals. My office is nearby so it is often that I make last-minute appointment requests since I have a busy schedule. They always work hard to accommodate my schedule. Sorry to report that I did not have the greatest experience at this salon. There were 6 of us scheduled to get our hair done for a wedding (5 bridesmaids + the bride), and although entering and being offered water and candies/pastries, that was about the peak of our experience. The stylists seemed inexperienced, and one of the bridesmaids even had to forgo a simple middle part updo that she wanted for the wedding because the stylists did not know what to do with the ends of her hair. The prices quoted over the phone were not what was charged, and even upon seeing the bride upset and frustrated with the entire situation, management did not try to accomodate her at all. I do not recommend this place especially if you are getting your hair styled for an important occasion and want something very specific. Also, keep in mind if you have any qualms with anything, Management will not hear you out nor be flexible in satisfying your request. They were rude to our bride on her wedding day, and need to take a class in customer service. I am in awe of the unprofessionalism, and recommend you stay away from this salon. read more

I went in there today to inquire about a job that had been posted in the Dispatch. I was addressing the very nice receptionist when someone else that works there butted in and was extremely rude. In the receptionist defense, she did not utter a word, as she was cut off from the beginning .I can only describe the rude employee as having dishwater colored blonde hair, braces and glasses . I will never step foot in that place again and being a local "Cropper" I will certainly tell all of my many friends who also have an enormous amount of connections, what I experienced . read more

WORSE SALON EXPERIENCE EVER! When you go to a salon on a regular day, you expect good service. When you go to a salon on your WEDDING DAY, you expect SUPERIOR service. I would not go to Bliss Salon on a regular day or EVER again for that manner. My best friends and I went there to have our hair done for a wedding. Where to start ... the hair stylists' skill level is at best mediocre. It took my stylist over one hour to do a high bun, after she failed to do my desired up-do. After 30 minutes and an unsuccessful consultation with another stylist, I took matters into my own hands; I directed my stylist how I usually pull off a high bun and after about 20 minutes I had a sub-par hairstyle. The other stylists who did my friends' hair were a bit better but still the final products looked rushed and not polished. Each updo was $65 without tip, this is pretty steep for a second-class salon. Additionally, when the bride called the salon, she was quoted a totally different total. When we went to pay and the expected total was near $50 more than expected the manager, Beth Miller, would not budge. The bride calmly asked her why the change had been made and before she could finish her sentence, Beth cut her off and started speaking loudly to the BRIDE! Beth Miller is by far the rudest, most unprofessional "manager" I have ever met in my life. I am giving one star because no star is not an option. My recommendation for Bliss Salon is to up your qualifications for your stylists and take a course in customer service! Until then STAY AWAY! read more

Not the most welcoming feeling when you walk in and all the employees are seated in the waiting area chatting away. No one goes out of their way to greet you, they almost looked confused as to why I was walking in the door! This place was recommended for tanning..as they offer a stand up and lay down option at the same price of $10 and tanning salons are hard to come by in OC. I will not be returning as I paid close attention to how DIRTY these rooms were. Hair salons alone require upkeep and maintenance. All I could see was an overly dirty/dusty fan(It was BLACK), discoloration of the carpet, lotion splatters all over the walls/door, and trashcan full of old used hand towels. Not to mention the cleaning solution hanging out next to the tanning bed. Gross. As I left, no one says a word! Seems very unprofessional and sense of carelessness when it comes to cleanliness. Not a classy place. Not worth the money. Have had MUCH better experiences at other "real" spas. The polish from manicure and pedicure came off in less than a day. Facial and massage were not so great. Staff isn't professional. Rooms are small and minimal. Owner is not interested in hearing criticism- you'll just get attitude and lies from her. Worst massage EVER! I was given a pillow with no pillow case. The music was loud and not remotely spa like. The masseuse was hung over or just didn't care. The service was just terrible. When I called I spoke with the owner and I explained my concerns. She said she was sorry and she'd send me a gift certificate. Never did. Terrible spa, don't waste your money. Or just take a hand full of lotion throw it on the wall, rub yourself against it and then throw $85 out the window, you'll accomplish the same thing. Even if you could find it (it's in a horrible office complex), I'd say skip it. read more

On vacation here and went in for men's cut. The lady who's name I didn't catch (but had blue-ish hair!) did a fantastic job - better than my normal barber in the UK! Well worth the US$20 for wash and cut. read more

I love this salon! I first went here with my daughter on her wedding day. The up do that the stylist did looked like a magazine add. I had never seen hair done as beautiful and intricate as hers was. My hair was also done just like I wanted it. Everyone listened to what we wanted and totally followed through with amazing results. We liked our hair so much that we ended up doing our make up too which also was pretty flawless and the bonus was that our hair and make up held up for the entire evening. I now live in Florida for the majority of the year and I usually show up at Bliss , in July , with my hair destroyed and in need of repair. Gina , never acts like it's a crisis, she just listens to my concerns and does her thing to make my hair look good and get it healthy again. The difference from July to September is nothing less than miraculous. If I could fly up to get my hair done here every six weeks, I would. I actually did used to take a three hour ride from Baltimore , when I lived there, to go here - It's that good! My husband always comments on how great my hair looks when I come home from here.( and he basically never notices anything!) The staff here is very professional and they are constantly educating themselves on what's new in the industry. I really cannot say enough good about this place. If you're contemplating on which salon to go to , I would highly recommend this one! They care and it shows! read more

Worse salon I've ever step foot in!!!! I made an appointment for a trim, color and to have a couple of hair extensions put in, The hair designer was late for work that day and didn't start working on my hair until a half hour after my scheduled appointment. She hadn't even looked at her books to see what services I had scheduled that day. To make a long story short, my hair was literally destroyed during that visit. My hair is now butchered, one side is much longer than the other, the entire sides of my hair have been cut out, and the back has two huge humps in it. It's going to take 6-8 months to grow back in. I can't even explain to you how bad this hair cut is. The few extensions I had put in fell out in less than a week, (they typically last 2-3 months). To make matters even worse the color used that day damaged my hair. When I called the salon to ask for my money back the receptionist insisted I come in for a corrective hair cut and offered to put the extensions back in. I explained that there's nothing left to cut, but I did agree to go back in so they could see the destruction done to my hair wasn't my imagination .When I got there the hair designer was running behind, after waiting longer than I had expected, I had to leave because of another appointment I had that afternoon. I went back to the salon later that afternoon as they suggested, and the salon was closed, I got there 45 minutes before the business hours posted on the front door. During that week I had called and left messages for the salon who never took the time to call me back. Finally after 6-7 calls the owner happened to answer the phone. She was extremely defensive and rude to me from the start of the conversation, it was obvious she had no interest in speaking with me. She was shockingly very unaccommodating to my situation. She told me she doesn't have capability to issue a credit back to my account, AND she actually hung the phone up on me and I could heard her laughing before the phone reached the receiver. I spent close to $250 in the salon that day, only to be traumatized and treated absolutely horrible by the owner. Its apparent to this salon does NOT stand behind their work, and that the owner isn't concerned with pleasing her clients, or keeping clients for a long term. I've never in my life experienced such poor treatment by a business owner. If you charge top dollar for a service , you should stand behind the work. read more
