We decided to try somewhere different for breakfast and we went to the tavern this morning. First fault was that there was NO railing on the steps to the building. I'm disabled and that made me a bit nervous. Upon entering, we were not greeted (we said hi and asked how he was and he complained that he was tired) then were just told (with a pointing gesture) to sit wherever there were coffee mugs. We sat and waited far too long for there only being 2 other parties of people. We received menus (not handed but sort of flopped in front of us) and coffee that was about a step and a half away from being swill (we added creamers and it never got any lighter. Very dark in color). My husband asked for sugar. The server went to get it and never came back. After about 5 minutes he showed up withOUT the sugar and started to ask about our order but we wanted the sugar first and he gave us a borderline annoyed "yup... sugar" and walked away. Again... too long of a wait for just sugar (which should have just been on the table already). After feeling ignored, we just decided to pay for the coffee and leave. Very disappointed, as so many people have praised the place and we got bad service from a server with a less than desirable attitude. We won't go back. read more

This course is not the easiest to get to, but it made for a decent round of golf once I found it. The cart I had was not the best with torn seats and an engine that revved a bit too much for my liking (seems to be gas instead of electric). The course was decently maintained, not the best course I've played but definitely not the worst. The service was good and improved an otherwise average experience. read more

First the Pros: greens were mint. Overall condition of course was very good. Excellent bunkers for a public course. Staff super friendly and price very reasonable. Cons: Played at 8:45 Sat morning and it took 5:15. Waited every single shot. No rangers on the course to manage pace. Course is tough, no place to miss. If you hit your driver more than 250, you will not use it often (we played the back tees). If you aren't all single handicap players, expect to spend a lot of time looking for balls. Bottom line, even if it was free, I wouldn't go back. Not fun to play. read more

If you like a challenge this is a good choice. The course is in good shape, but it's filled with funky shots requiring local knowledge since you can easily hit what seem like good shots here and find yourself blocked out by trees. Also it's a bear to walk with the distance from greens to the next tees typically a decent distance and, bizarrely, nearly always up a steep hill. read more

Excellent course. Course condition is top notch. Greens rolled perfectly. Walking is doable and only $35 during the week. Range is right near pro shop and #1, + you can hit off grass. Lots of tight fairways lined by dense woods, need lots of accuracy off the tee. Great experience, I'll be back for sure. read more

Blissfull Meadows is one of my favorite golf courses in the area. The course is always kept in really good shape every time I have been there. The staff here are always friendly and very helpful - from the pro shop to the starter on the first tee to the barkeep in the tavern. The course is challenging, yet not too difficult. I don't get the feeling of pretentiousness that you get from the staff at some courses of this caliber. The only reason for taking a way 1 star is the price. $69 on the weekend for 18/cart/lunch in the tavern. Not too bad, but certainly cant play here every weekend, as I would like to. Last year I was able to find a deal during the week towards the end of the season. Sign up for the email blasts, and sometimes you can get a good deal. That being said, I definitely recommend Blissfull to my fellow golfers. read more

Well maintained, with very nice greens. The course is pretty long and also it has a lot of beautify/ challenging holes. I really enjoy the many interesting par 3's. I didn't have a chance to check out the clubhouse however the staff was friendly. The course has descent practicing facilities with a range and a nice putting area. We used their function hall for our wedding and had an amazing time. The grounds, building, tavern and function room are all beautiful and well kept. The food was great, we had eaten there previously to check out the food, and it has been exceptional each time. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the made sure our guests were all taken care of. Our wedding planner Krystin was amazing, even the owner came up to make sure we were having a good time. The function hall is smaller, mean it can comfortably fit up to 120 guests, but what it lacks in space it make up for in Charm. It is tucked away in a quiet area, with convient access for out of town guests (make sure they have good directions, it is easy to miss). We have yet to try the golf course (our next trip down). read more

We recently had our wedding here at Blissful Meadows and had a really good experience. Krystin was very helpful and easy to contact and the prices that we were quoted were great, especially compared to the prices in Worcester or Boston! My mom made me rent one of their antique cars, and I'm really glad that we did...made a great entrance. The only problem with them is that they are out in the middle of nowhere on a curvy road, can be a little difficult at night to travel. However, if you are looking for a relaxed place to have a wedding, check them out! We fit 110 people in the reception area with no problems. read more

Just got married at Blissful Meadows this past weekend and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Every second from the first tour to the last dance was pain free and professional. The entire staff was amazing and Janelle especially made our day run so smoothly. This is a nice, affordable, reasonably well maintained and challenging 18 hole tract. An excellent putting green and grass range immediately adjacent, small but serviceable proshop, quaint tavern/pub with decent food and friendly service all add up to make this a repeat visit for our far flung foursome. The most memorable feature of the course is the undulations in the greens which place a premium on approach shot placement and putting. read more

Played a reasonable 18 holes in 4 hours and 40 minutes on a Saturday. Good. Set up a replay for half the rate. Good. Teed off on time. Good. Played the first 3 holes in 65 minutes, NOT GOOD! Went in and said we just played 3 holes in 65 minutes, no rangers to speed up play, and we'd finish at 9 pm. A six hour round is absurd and not what i call fun. Manager said we don't give rainchecks. Poor customer service. After an argument he finally broke down and gave us a 9 hole raincheck. Will never go back! read more

This is a very good course for the price and it never seems to be too busy. Font nine is short and tight, back nine is long and open. Food and drink is also very good at the course. The course was in great condition but the pace of play was terrible. At one point we had 4 groups on the same hole. The ranger spoke to us several times and mentioned a group ahead of us got here late, and were warned several times. The ranger also said that the owners don't allow the rangers to ask people to skip a hole (even if they come late and are a bunch of drunk kids) because they are worried about bad reviews. He kept bringing up the fact that they were very scared of offending people due to bad reviews. The only reason I am leaving a bad review is to let the owners know that it is more important to keep 20 people (5 groups, probably more) happy than it is to keep one unruly group happy. What are the rangers for if they can't do anything? There is no need to let a bunch of drunk kids ruin the day for so many other people. Let the rangers do their jobs! I did like the course though. read more

Amazing place for a wedding! Melissa, Kristen and the crew at Blissful Meadows really provide great service. They worked with us from start to finish to make sure our vision was met. The venue is beautiful and every guest commented on how perfect it was! We did our rehearsal, ceremony and reception all on site and every aspect was great. The food was great and is such a value! They have a ton of unique touches that can make their wedding packages unique to you. We'd highly recommend their antique cars (or apple cider for a fall wedding). read more

I was really looking forward to our first time having dinner at the Meadowview Tavern, I called ahead like their website asks and inquired what time they stopped seating for dinner. The hostess informed me they close "between 8 & 9" I knew this was going to be iffy at best if you have to guess are they closing at 8 tonight or can we get in at 8:30? I made a reservation for 8 to be safe, when we got there I was surprised to see only 7 people in the dining room and bar on a Saturday night! We asked to sit on the deck outside with a great view of one of the fairways. We waited about 10 minutes for our server who was very nice but deck had dirty tables with dishes left there for some time because it was slow or they just don't have a manager around? There was a wedding on site as well and just as our dinner arrived a few people from the wedding came out on the deck where we were dining and the "F" bombs started and then the cigar smoking kicked in. My dinner smelled like a cigar, our server walked by these people several times and never asked them to quiet down or Stop Smoking. The golf course is beautiful but the "Tavern" needs a manager, this could be a fantastic spot for lunch and dinner and should not be empty on a Saturday night. Make the dining as nice as the golfing and you get a 5 star spot. The apps were great and the seafood platter was 3 stars only 5 clams on a $24 dish, the wife had Chicken Florentine and it was better than she expected based on our surroundings. We will go back for lunch with lower expectations! read more

Overall a pretty nice course with pretty good amenities, and nice driving range. The clubhouse and pub are good with very good food. The course is ok and fun to play, however the routing of each hole isn't up to par with other more refined courses. The grass and rough aren't really that different, but they could be cut much better to make the course more challenging in my opinion. It's a solid course but it could be so much better. And I like the stepping green fees on the weekend that allows you to play a little later at a much reduced rate - more courses should offer this. read more

When asked about a refund (even partial) their reply was; No refunds! Ever! Under any circumstances! Period! Tough! Buyer beware of this place! Eek!!! Really really nice course. However, there must be something wrong with managment? Had a 915am t time, was told they booked both back and front. Told to start at 10th hole. Got there, par 5, two groups on t box, two in fairway and one on green. Then told to come back to 1st hole it was open. Got there group on t box, two groups on hole. Spoke with a guy named Mike, expressed my displeasure and got a rude respense. 5 1/2 hours later, I walked off 15th hole to get home by 4 to see Patriots game. Longest day of my life. My husband and I just got married at Blissful Meadows in the Chestnut Room (the upstairs restored barn, can't remember the name) yesterday and it was AMAZING, despite weather that made us think the apocalypse was upon us. Facing massive thunderstorms and thunder/lightning, we made the smart move to get married in the reception area. Melissa was an absolute rock through the whole process and smoothly coordinated moving everything - and everyone - up to the new location. The room was decorated beautifully and it made me forget about how badly I wanted to get married at the gazebo. :) The transition from ceremony to reception was quick and efficient and my guests noticed all of Melissa's attention to detail. She beautifully organized all of the decorations we brought, helped us come up with ceremony ideas just a day before the wedding, and attended to absolutely everything I needed all night. We definitely couldn't have done it without her and her staff! We originally chose Blissful Meadows because I loved the property and the restored barn...but I'm so glad we chose it now because of the attentive and helpful staff that made what could have been a really terrible day become an absolute dream come true.
