Fantastic bakery that expanded into a new building right along the back alley ( Wednesday market ) in downtown bend. Not your typical American breakfast as this restaurant has french influence and can be seen in their elevated take on various items such as eggs Benedict which includes french ham- asparagus and two beautifully done poached eggs. I was drawn to the lovely decor and aesthetic of this place. It felt like a nice place to enjoy a mother's day brunch. We were seated in a far table outside. The coffee was delicious. The food took over 30 minutes to be served and it honestly was very underwhelming, bland and overpriced for a breakfast egg sandwich. We didn't get much attention from the servers since we were seated pretty far back. I hope this review is helpful for future improvements. I want local restaurants to succeed. This place has elevated the advancement of gluten free options! Everything was delicious and you can't tell any of it was gluten free. We ordered the churros with Belgian chocolate and it was to die for! The apple cinnamon cake had a great consistency and the perfect amount of sweetness. The pasta with meat sauce was not gluten free but still very enjoyable and the Blissful Sandwich had an amazing blend of different flavors. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. They have some of the best gluten free pastries in bend. We ordered 4 of the cinnamon waffle sticks and they were to die for. On top of that we ran in at 8:55pm when they were closing up and even though we ran in 5 min before closing one of the employees was the sweetest human and made us 4 waffles to go right in front of us. Save your time (and your money) and go to any of the other wonderful brunch places in Bend. The service was less than minimal and the food was mediocre. We had RESERVATIONS at 11 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Waited long enough for just some waters that one of us had to go up to front and ask if we ordered up there (you don't). When we finally ordered our 3 entrees and one side, we waited over an hour before telling them to just box our food and get the check, which of course is when our food was ready. By then we were so over it and the kids were getting impatient we just wanted to leave. We understand there's staff shortages everywhere right now but we've gone to other places with smaller staff size and more customers to serve and still have never waited that long any place else and even with shortages, the staff at other places are way more friendly!! read more

We happened upon this place while looking for a place to eat lunch. Though nothing tasted bad, the quality of ingredients did not align with the price. We had the caprese salad, which had pale bland tomatoes. Considering the time of year, heirloom tomatoes would have been appropriate. The balsamic glaze tasted mediocre, like something off the shelf of the local grocery. The burrata plate had one small piece of bread, but a large portion of cheese. The bread portion did not seem appropriate for the quantity of cheese. The ambiance was subpar. We were there over an hour waiting for our dishes to come out. We left before the last one came due to waiting so long in-between dishes. The owner is defensive when it comes to constructive criticism. He reminded my spouse of their award for best new rookie restaurant of the year. There was nothing he could have done to make the experience better. It should have been better from the start. The food may be very good but we'll never know. We were seated for at least 15 minutes before a waiter took our order. After waiting an additional 45 minutes without receiving our food, we left. On the way out, my husband asked to speak with the manager who denied that we had been waiting as long as he stated. Two parties came in after us, ate, and left while we were waiting for our food. The manager did offer to comp our meal but we chose to eat elsewhere. read more

My husband and I dine frequently here because we appreciate the pace and the unique flavors. We are never handed a bill and rushed out as happens at other restaurants in Bend. We enjoy a glass of wine I love the chakshoka with a nice big slice of gluten free bread and usually order it, my husband always tries something new and makes yum yum sounds each time. I enjoy that the chef will stop by to say hello, again because we are not rushed out. I often finish with a cappuccino which is very good. This is one of our favorite spots. As far as price it is similar to the other restaurants we go to for breakfast or brunch. They catered my son's wedding with Moroccan dishes and the foods and flavors were a big hit. I am taking a friend there today because we want good food and a nice place to catch up and talk. Don't expect this to be a typical diner it is more European which is why we love it. read more

Be prepared for a long wait after you order. This was my second visit to this restaurant ( had a long wait at the first visit too )and possibly my last unless I have a lot of time to sit and wait for my food. The food is tasty but by the time you get it, it's tepid at best. In the 50 minutes I waited, I was offered water only one time and had to ask for a refill. This not a cheap restaurant and I expected better service. Alas, I am disappointed and not blissful at the Blissful Spoon. read more

Went to this place 3 days in a row , I am lightly gluten intolerant and I enjoyed being able to get lox's on a freshly baked gluten bread free bread and a Caprese salad also excellent, I had the most wonderful gluten-free eclair which was made with a homemade custard base blended with whip cream. Very similar to how I would prepare it. Like a lot of the restaurants right now staffing is hard for them and it showed, but the staff was very pleasant and it was nice to see the owner working on the floor to help the servers and accommodate the guest. This is a definite place to try whether you want gluten-free or not. Hope this place is around for a long time. read more

This place is a gem! Everything on their menu (except the pasta) can be made gluten free. They have amazing home made gluten free bread as well that is made in a dedicated oven! My non-gf husband couldn't tell the difference between the gf bread and regular bread. We ordered several tapas and they were all fantastic! Our server was really great, the decor is adorable, and they seem to be doing a great job with covid safety protocols (tables are distanced, they have floor markers, hand sanitizer stations by the door, and all of the staff wore masks.) I can't even describe how good the gluten free cinnamon bun is...I may have wept a little (my fellow GF/celiac folks will understand haha) We will most definitely be back! read more

We stopped in for a celebratory lunch after a pickleball tournament. We chose to sit outside as a nice breeze was blowing. Our server was friendly and helpful although she did not know much about the beer options (she was not of age in that regard) or pronunciation of menu items (I asked). It did seem to take quite a long time for the ordered items to appear, but we were not in a huge hurry. We agree with many others that the price is high for what you get, and while I really appreciate that just about everything is made from scratch, the flavors did not pop out at us. The owner says that they are competitive pricewise with other restaurants in the area, but still...$14 for a not large sandwich with no trimmings is too much for us. We ordered two of the jambon sandwiches and a burrata salad. As another reviewer pointed out, there was a little too much cheese for the one strip of charbroiled bread. My husband loved the grilled peppers, and I loved the grilled tomatoes. I imagine this would be a good place to come for tapas and to stay and enjoy a drink or two with friends outside. That said, while Blissful Spoon has plenty of 5 star reviews, to each his own. This is not the place for us. I will continue to purchase their granola at the store, however. read more

As with other reviewers, I love the atmosphere here and the friendly staff. Recently had breakfast at Blissful, and the eggs were amazing. I'm celiac, so this is a good option for me but a little disappointed in some baked goods. The coconut macaroons, energy balls, and a few of the gluten-free cookies are dry. The flourless chocolate cake is to-die-for though. Would really like more green tea options, too - like just a plain, simple green tea or a coconut green tea. read more
