All of the food was so flavorful, came served from the chef himself and the cocktails did not disappoint! The shrimp dish was so creamy and delish that we saved the sauce for our bastillo! Will be back!

Papillon (evening version) is a delicious Moroccan restaurant. Highly recommended!

The food was exceptional. I had only been to the daytime Blissful Spoon version of this restaurant, and was delighted to find out that Thursdays - Saturdays they turn into Papillon, an evening restaurant with a Morrocan flair. The chef is from Morrocco and in my opinion is one of the best chefs here in Bend. His dishes demonstrate a high level of skill for the nuance of flavor and cuisine. It is rare to find such a satisfying meal here in Bend. I highly recommend it! They sometimes host special dining events at their next door Cellar 65 Speakeasy, which is adjacent to the restaurant.

I love this place!! I can never decide what to get on the menu because I want it all.

I have been wanting to check-out Blissful Spoon, but every time I think of doing so it is a Monday, and they are closed. Easter Sunday I attended an early church service and then decided to go for breakfast. A friend suggested Blissful Spoon! So off I went and arrived around 9:45, before they got busy. A lovely atmosphere, very cozy & clean with fresh flowers on the tables. My main server was Mark, but there were many hands-on attentive servers working for the good of all ... including the lovely owner Miki, whose husband is the chef. Mark was awesome from the minute I walked in; very friendly, attentive, accommodating. I ordered the appropriately named "Blissful Morning Sandwich" ... as it was for me a day of celebration. Mark accommodated my request for gluten free bread and extra arugula! The presentation, freshness, flavors were all excellent. I did choose to eat my sandwich open face with a fork & knife, savoring every bite ... along with a glass of very smooth Prosecco. The Blissful Morning sandwich consists of abundant, tender prosciutto, flavorful manchego cheese, a sunny side egg, fresh arugula, roasted red pepper aioli. All wonderfully complimenting each other. The homemade gluten free bread was delicious! Next time I will request more of the roasted red pepper aioli, as it was a bit scant, so that I couldn't truly appreciate how tasty I'm sure it is. As I was leaving I decided to peruse the scrumptious looking pastries in the bakery case, and to my absolute joy learned that everything (!) is gluten free! Oh my! I am a foodie who loves to cook healthy, with a background of restaurants, catering, culinary school; who loves to go out for coffee with my friends. What has been missing is a place where you can find a selection -if anything at all- of gluten free items. There were several customers who came in just to buy pastries to-go, and you can also buy their gluten free bread. Do call ahead for bread days. So, I am delighted to have found Blissful Spoon for this reason and more, and look forward to returning soon. Keep up the good work: delicious food and happy faces

Who knew one could find Paris quality croissants in Bend, Oregon?…read more We were in town for our family reunion and two summers ago we held it at the Paris Olympics so our point of comparison is valid. Twice I went to M's to pick up a large assortment of pastries for our family of 21 and everything was outstanding and compared favorably to the best we had in France. We were staying at the Riverhouse Lodge and it was an easy 7 minute drive to get to the Old Mill location with plenty of parking. Both days no chocolate/almond croissant, which was sad. Standouts: - almond croissant 5/5 - chocolate croissant 5/5 - ham and cheese croissant 5/5 - gochujang twist 5*5 (so unique and so bummed they didn't have it the second day) - kouigh amman 5/5 - almond pecan sandie 5/5 Solid choices: - monkey bread 4/5 (a bit smaller than what I'm used to and more bready than pastry, no frosting as I'm more used to seeing) - milk bread 4/5 (solid offering) - blueberry scone 4/5 (a little bit too fruit forward so very messy to eat but still yummy) - blueberry buckwheat muffin 4/5 (also a bit too fruit forward so very messy to eat, but still yummy) We didn't try any of their breads but the selection looks great!

This week I stopped in at the Old Mill location itself for coffee and a couple pastries. - Cinnamon roll: comes drenched in sugar glaze (as is proper). This is their speciality, rolls up marionberry jam inside a croissant with a hazelnut butter glaze. Other items we ordered included the pistachio croissant, peanut butter brownie, Brie and fig jam baguette, jalepeno cheddar scone, and seasonal bread pudding. Everything was a chef's kiss! You can't go wrong here. Be prepared to drop a bag you won't regret. We spent at least $50 during each visit but we were satisfied with our selection.
