I recently saw Felicia Sadowski at Blix for a microneedling session and was extremely pleased with the outcome. It was my first time having the treatment so I was concerned about pain, redness/bleeding, the technique involving stem cells, and whether or not it would be effective. Let me just start off by saying if I could give this place ZERO stars I would!!!!!! So I found BLIX on groupon so I called in explained to her my tattoo because it's a long small Roman numeral, so she agreed that it would amount to a small tattoo removal. I then made an appointment for a consultation. Went through the consultation she explained that I'm perfect for the removal my skin responded great. Well I go up to the front to pay because she recommends that I buy the "groupon deal" from her so it doesn't expire. She tries to charge me for a MEDIUM tattoo removal!! She began to argue with me that it's a medium & not a small one. Than finally agreed & said okay well since I told you over the phone I will honor the small price. Over the course of over a year I had two times that I wasn't able to come & of course she doesn't ever pick up her phone so she says since she didn't get to verbally talk to me it counts as an appointment. Both times I called her one time I even email as well because she never picks up her phone. Today was my last treatment & on my way I called in to say I'm going to be late she said she can still fit me in. I get there she begins to argue with me that this is my 7th treatment & that she has right to refuse service & I'm trying to get free treatments from her. Then basically begins to tell me that my consultation counts as an appointment. So after I had called told her I would be late & she says she can fit me in she tries to tell me she can't service me!!!!! So after her being rude & arguing with me she finally says okay I'll do it & that she is never going to treat me again. GLADLY WILL NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN! Bought the Microdermabrasion on a Groupon and had trouble getting a timely response and getting an appt set, and by the time I heard back from them and was able to fit it into my calendar, my Groupon expired (the time limit was 4 weeks to complete your appt). So after my appt was done, Elin said, "Oh your Groupon is expired and I have no choice but to charge you the full amount." So she charged me the balance on the amount of the appt, which was $35. So for a 25 minute appt (Yes, 25 mins exactly), it cost me $100. (The Groupon was $65). The microdermabrasion itself, was no more then me just doing my own exfoliating at home with my scrubby. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. Not even the initial $65 it would have cost would have been worth it. Elin was friendly and professional but overall a very poor experience. Won't ever go back there and waste so much money on something I can just do myself and do even better and then be charged the full amount when they took so long to get back to me. I used the online booking to schedule an appointment. I was fifteen minutes late but I'm so glad she still saw me. There's parking behind the building which is very convenient. I didn't know, so I wasted time looking for street parking. If you step inside, the place is so clean and pretty. Felt like I was at a luxury spa. They offer many services from skincare to tattoo removal and much more. I had a very good experience for my first initial visit. I can't wait until I get the results that I want which wetake time. The laser hair removal treatment is fast! Just 3 sessions in and my hair is already getting sparse in patches! And her prices are very very good! On a more personal note, Elin is simply amazing. She communicates every step of the way so you know exactly what's going on and you're informed. She absolutely takes care of her clients, for example when the scheduling system failed to send me a confirmation email and somehow I had written in my planner a later time than was in her computer and we ended up missing each other, she called me and set up a make up appointment the next day, even coming in on a day off just so I could come in, and then she did an extra treatment on the house just because she felt so bad even though it definitely wasn't her fault. Her prices are beyond fair and she doesn't rush my appointments. I also ended up getting a tattoo removed after years of thinking it would be pointless and let me tell you it's GONE. It was jet black and so ugly. Tattoo removal takes patience and time and that's the case no matter where you go However some of my friends who went elsewhere needed many more treatments than it took for me with elin. Bought a Groupon (disclaimer for some?) for laser hair removal. Going off the treatable areas list on Groupon that Elin created herself (she reminded me), I bought a medium package for my needs. During my first appt. treating TWO areas that are listed, Elin tells me that she has gone over the maximum # of laser applications for a medium area. According to her, my choices now are to pick ONE area that I'd like to stick to, or upgrade to a large package. I reminded her of what I read (and is still available for reference) that the TWO areas I need fall clearly within my purchase and she explained its by # of laser uses/applications. Totally misleading as the Groupon advertises by areas. It's not like I have a lot of skin I'm having covered (I'm 5'3" at 110 lbs! ). And her laser is tied for covering the smallest area of skin of all lasers I've seen (5 in case you're wondering - I know I would be). So 70 (or 90 applications- the number changed mid appt) is not very much. I would suggest calling with questions before purchasing any deal. I will update my review after more treatments and results are examined. As an aesthetician Elin was very thorough. The place was clean, bright, sterile. UPDATE: Groupon refunded me for the Groupon where she falsely advertised (this was after I attempted to get a hold of her to resolve the issue via phone AND her website). Scheduling is so difficult; just try and call her phone. You'll never get a pickup and you're lucky if you get a single callback. read more

This review is for laser hair removal with Elin - For starters, this was my first experience with hair removal. The salon is wonderfully clean and professional. I'm conflicted about giving this review such low stars since Elin is a nice person for the most part and she's great at making you feel comfortable, but there were a number of issues. First off: KEEP TRACK OF HOW MANY TREATMENTS YOU'VE HAD. It's easy to loose track and Elin doesn't have a computer record, just some clip board that you have to trust if you don't keep track yourself. It's my fault for not keeping precise count, but I'm pretty positive I got shorted at least one session. I ended up buying 4 extra sessions since I missed a few appointments and she docked me one of the 6 sessions I got on groupon. Second: she cancelled an appointment on me the day of (she was sick, totally understandable), when we rescheduled I ended up having to wait an hour at the salon before she could squeeze me in, and there was another time when she was fighting on the phone with someone and I had to wait 35-40 min past my appointment time. Those 3 things happened and there was no compensation for my time, even though she felt completely justified in docking me a session cause I overslept one time and my car broke down another time. Third: after the 5 sessions from groupon, and the additional 4 that I bought. There was still 4 noticeable areas (back of my neck is where i had my treatment done) that had clearly been missed. Areas that I had told her about previously, but that she still apparently didn't zap all the way. It's not that these were trouble areas, she just hadn't zapped them. She kept referring to this final session as a 'touch up' but a touch-up would be after 3-6 months when some of the hair had started to return. This was a month after my previous appointment. Essentially I felt as though some spots were missed on purpose so I'd have to come in once again. Fourth: if you buy from sessions from her instead of groupon, prepare to be overcharged. I used a groupon discount to get some $ off and spent $225 for 6 sessions ($37.50 per, would've been $45 without the discount code). When I bought the additional 4 from Elin she charged $50 per session even though she had said she would charge me the same rate as the groupon (if you try to debate her on this issue, she gets irritated really quickly). For the final session that I just had, she said she would charge me the same rate as the groupon, but ended up charging me $65 (even though this was a super short session where she just 'touched-up' on areas that she had previously missed). When I tried to discuss this with her, she got angry and tried gaslighting me to convince me that I should be grateful that she's given me such low rates. Said she gave me such great deals to "keep me happy." I'm not a confrontational person so I wasn't gonna fight her on this. Lastly: it takes forever to schedule your initial appointment with her. Overview: just use the groupon sessions and don't pay for additional sessions. Keep very close track of how many sessions you've had and the dates you had them on. Pay very close attention to where she's lasering cause she may miss some important spots (this is hard cause it hurts like hell and you may not be able to physically see where she's zapping e.g., back of neck). Overall, it'll probably be cheaper than most other deals you get and it's a nice facility, but you'll get overcharged if you're not paying close attention. My budget is almost entirely student loans (full time grad student) so I'm really not happy when I feel like I get ripped off, but cleaning up the back of my neck was important to me as a young professional, so hopefully this was worth it. read more

I am very happy with the results of my laser treatments. Elin is attentive to my needs during treatment and makes me feel comfortable. The space is beautiful and very clean. I would certainly recommend Elin to any of my friends. The pain associated with the laser hair removal is minimal, and although I have relatively fair skin, I haven't experienced any significant redness after treatment. My Wife bought me a groupon for laser hair removal at Blix. I have struggled for years with shaving bumps and ingrown hairs on my neck. I tried everything: expensive shaving creams, shaving with oils, changing razors, YouTube shaving classes, EVERYTHING! I have completed five treatments of hair removal with Blix and it works! I no longer get shaving bumps and ingrown hairs on my neck after shaving. In fact I no longer have hair growth. The change has been fantastic and Blix did such a great job shaping my jaw line. I couldn't be more happy with the service. The only downside is one should expect some minor pain and irritation after treatments but it goes away after a few days and last fewer with every treatment. Beware of this place and their automatic rebooking!!As you have to put your credit card information online to schedule appointments, you might find yourself getting an unwanted appointment you did not schedule less than 24 hrs., which they can charge you the full price for per their policy. Elin is top notch, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get laser/skin work done - she is friendly, efficient and no-nonsense - which I appreciate. In the initial consultation - she showed her knowledge for her products and clearly set my expectations on what to expect and how long it might take to see the progress I was hoping for with my treatments. Her place is clean and I find it easy to get to. I bought a Groupon but haven't received lesser service because of it and I love that she hasn't tried to upsell or push other products. She understands what patients might experience during their treatment and is very empathetic & understanding. I have had 5 sessions now (I am getting a tattoo removed) and have been able to easily schedule (and a couple of times reschedule) my appointment when I needed to. I struggle with the website - which isn't a problem I see with many websites - but she is responsive via email and phone. The online scheduling was very convenient and she was wonderful- explained the procedure in detail and was very confident and gentle. She is very clear about her cancellation policy, and it seems that many of the negative reviews are from people who were late for appointments or tried to cancel. Personally, I would pay more attention to the fact that Elin is a great aesthetician and takes good care of her clients. If I could give a zero star, I would. Rudest person I have ever talked to, ever, I have Never Ever in my Life been talked to the way they talked to me over the phone... It all started when I bought a large package through groupon for a service. I tried at least a dozen times over the period of 6 months to make an appointment, I left repetitive messages explaining i had bought the groupon and would like to ask questions about the procedure and book my appointment, I never got a call back! My groupon then expired, but because I had been trying to get ahold of them i had hope that they might still give me the full credit. Finally after calling and leaving a message and then calling 2 more times a women answered and told me i had the wrong number (it was the number on the groupon app) and that the clinic had changed their number but she could give it to me, so i apologized and thanked her for her help, but then strangely enough she was all of a sudden ready to book an appointment for me, because it Was the right number(?)... So i booked an appointment through her, i was confused, but excited and ready! Next day I missed a call from a number i don't know, so I call back and its Blix Clinical Aesthetics, the women had an accent and from the instant she started talking to me was BEYOND rude. She claimed I was Lying about trying to book an appointment in the past and that they had receptionist to answer the phone so it was unlikely that no one was there to answer my call. She then went on to say that she had been trying to get ahold of Me for the last few months, after she had already claimed that I wasn't telling the truth about calling at all!!!??
