Any ice cream desire you have will likely be met here. They have sundaes, soft serve, over 25 flavors of hard ice cream, italian ice, ice cream sandwiches and even ice cream cakes. I ordered a small soft serve and let's just say I can't imagine what a large would've looked like. The prices seemed fair and I would love to try out their hard ice cream next time. The workers were friendly and prompt. There is plenty of seating outside on the patio and some seating inside as well. The only odd thing was the 40" TV displaying four security camera angles. This is a cite place. Didn't know about it. You can be served inside or out. There is a decent size seating area to eat. They have a great selection of ice cream and toppings. I'm usually a sprinkle guy but decided to try the cotton candy and simple soft serve vanilla. It was really good. This place is a cute neighborhood shop that has all of your classic ice cream and Italian ice flavors and a few surprise flavors as well. You can also choose to pick up ice cream cakes, milk shakes, sundaes, banana splits and top them with any topping you could imagine. I got the small scoop and they really load up on their scoops! I picked 2 flavors, dunken cookie because I love coffee and s'mores because I love a graham cracker crunch. Dunken cookie had a good medium bodied coffee flavor and S'mores had plenty of graham cracker crumbles and chocolate chips throughout. I'll be coming back to try out more flavors! My favorite ice cream parlor in the area! A wide array of flavors. My favorites are the cheesecake and black cherry ice cream. Sometimes there is a line, but it's very quick service. They have a nice outdoor seating space perfect for those warm summer days. Highly recommend. read more

I have been here a few times for ice cream and it is usually really good. I enjoy the soft serve from here because it's a really nice creamy texture. When I've tried the hard scoop ice creams, most of them have been good. I had one that felt like it was a little freezer burned with some ice chunks in it, although it tasted fine. There are a ton of flavors to choose from which is nice. Pretty much something for everyone. If you are coming here on a weekend when it's hot, expect to wait for a bit to order and get your ice cream. There is a good amount of outdoor seating and parking on the premise. It is located on a busier road though so it's not always the best place to stay and hang out due to passing cars. read more

I ordered a scoop of cappuccino crunch and toffee neither of them tasted like it. Absolutely no coffee taste at all for the cappuccino and the toffee I only tasted the chocolate pieces inside . I don't know if I was given the wrong scoops of ice cream but the flavor factors weren't there and I could taste that freezer burn taste in the ice cream which made us less appealing to eat. This is a "mom and pop" place that's doing it right! I'm so happy I discovered it this summer, just a little upset that I didn't know about it the last 9 years I've been leaving in the area! First and most importantly, they are making all their ice cream on site, according to a convo with the owner. Secondly, the prices are awesome. I have been wanting to try this place since moving down to Piscataway. It just looks like your unpretentious neighborhood ice cream shoppe. It's nothing fancy inside but the ice cream is the star! So many different flavors of "hard" and "soft" ice cream. They also have sorbets/ices. My husband ordered the espresso soft serve and I opted for your good old fashioned vanilla soft serve. The texture was sooo smooth and the ice cream itself was thick and creamy. It's not like other soft serves that melt as soon as you start holding it. I was really impressed with their soft ice cream. I need to come back and try more stuff. They have home made ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cakes in the freezer. Gotta give those a shot some time this summer. Pricing is totally reasonable. BREAKING THE LAW by charging a 4% surcharge for debit or credit. On top of that I brought my family there for ice cream. I asked for 4 small cones with sprinkles. As I handed one to my 5 year old it was a little lopsided, so I asked for a cup and a spoon so he wouldnt make a mess. When they rang me up they charged me for 3 cones, one dish, 4 sprinkles and $1 for an extra cone. SERIOUSLY YOURE CHARGINF ME FOR THE CONE/BOWL WHEN THEY MADE IT LOPSIDED??? I complained about that and was told its their policy that the owner counts everything. I paid with my debit visa and was told there is an automatic 4% surcharge for all credit transactions. I told the server that the 4% surcharge was against the law, she said "A Lot of customers say this, but theres nothing I can do its in the computer that way" I told her that she was breaking the law by enforcing it and she said, "yeah I know I hear that all the time - Ha ha" Notifying the BBB, Visa, MC and everyone I know to stay away form this crap-hole. All the ice cream here is homemade by Chris, one of the owners. She and her husband own the place. They also do great ice cream cakes. The kids that work here are all pretty friendly, and they have a lot of flavors and toppings to choose from. They'll make a shake out of any ice cream you want. I got the soft strawberry ice cream last night. They have two different machines you can choose from. One harder then the other. When I asked for sprinkles I guess the lady behind the counter didn't do it right. So she made me another one to get it right! Definitely a satisfied customer! :) They are super friendly here! Ice cream delicious. First time trying it...I got ice cream cake with some nice crunchy toppings. I would give it 5 stars but I was there just 10 mins ago and the guy that served me was professional and wonderful (Sunday 6:40 pm July 30) but some person behind the counter with him said "Then this really fat ass guy came in..." Inappropriate. If you wanna talk about other customers do it when you aren't in front of actual customers. Maybe they can find a job where they can learn not to talk negatively and make others feel uncomfortable. The young man that served me was great and ignored the other guys comments. If he doesn't like his job then don't work at a job with customer service or maybe keep your dumb mouth shut around around groups of customers. Went at 9:15 one night (not knowing that they close at 9), the door wasn't locked and as I almost walked in, I got 3 teenage brats yell at me "we're closed!" Oh really? Update- just went to Dairy Quick and it is so freaking delicious. I got one scoop of mint chocolate chip on a sugar done and it was HUGE and full of chocolate chips/ also it was super creamy which is what I look for in ice cream. The one scoop was so generous that I actually asked the guy is this one scoop and he said yes. So far I love uncle Loui G's and Dairy Quick.... Both have good ice cream, but I will give it to uncle Loui G's for having a beautiful place to sit inside and out that Dairy Quick doesn't have. Blizzard island has a lot of work to do. read more

I pre-purchased an ice cream cake and the order was written up. The next day I came in to pick it up and one of the owners was there( a women) and she told me it would be 4 $ extra. I said I have a receipt and agreed to pay the amount on the receipt. She said the boy who wrote this up got the price wrong he is too young. My response was why should that be my problem. Well to make a long story short she got the 4$ from me but lost a lifetime of repeated visits. When you sell someone a cake for an agreed on price by someone you put in charge of the store and have a written document complete with the price and ingredient's the right thing is to honored it. But no she decided to belittle me when during pick it up for which I never will forget. My response was to never return to Blizzard Island. Always enjoyable - the help is generally very good. When the lines are long, the employees do a pretty good job moving the people along. After being recommended to this place by a mom at my school for their "great" ice cream I was VERY disappointed. The soft serve was hood but the hard ice cream was gross. It tasted fake and freezer burnt. The staff are dirty looking and the entire place was dirty from the floors to the window seating where there was at least 100 dead bugs just mitering the window sills and tables.
