Alfredo did such a beautiful job on my makeup -- my skin looked flawless and felt so natural, not too heavy at all. Horrible experience! Went in for the first and last time! I made mg reservation online and added the massage. When I arrived I was basically pushed from one chair to another and never received the head massage! I showed a picture to the first lady and she said she was just blowing it out and to show it to another lady-- 30 seconds later moved to another chair. Now the 3rd chair in less than 5 minutes! Then showed her the picture. Anyways-- she asked if I wanted dream coat and that there was a small charge for that. When I rang out it was $20 add on! Unbelievable! I have the bottle at home and that's what you pay for the whole bottle. Very disappointed in this location! read more

We are here from California for a wedding and we found this place randomly, we almost spend $600 and unfortunately none of us were happy specially me. The lady who did my hair only washed my hair and used some hair curler and after that she never used any hair spray, after about 30 minutes my hair looked the same , I was really uncomfortable the whole time in church and during the wedding party , like I have not showered for a week and also my mom's make up was super awkward, barely any mascara and no eyeliner . I enjoy their hair products , level of expertise of the staff, and their willingness to educate and promote healthy hair . I feel at ease when Im sitting in the chair . This man in the chair literally next to me was detailing how he thinks they do not wash themselves. I was the only (and also white) customer. It went on to the point I had to point out I was white, and that white people do in fact clean themselves. My husband who isn't white heard the story and went by the store. The man and the other employees refused to apologize for the unprofessional behavior after we paid them over a hundred dollars. They Looked him dead in the eye and said they do not feel they need to. I'm aware it's the current thing to be openly hateful to white people. All that aside it's not professional. They should realize MOST of their clients are white in this area. I had an amazing experience at Blo Houston getting my blowout for Thanksgiving! Alexis took her time to give my hair the attention it needed. She explained other add ons that really did miracles on my long af hair, lol! For reference my hair is thick, frizzy and past my hip. The moisture conditioning treatment and the dream coat was a well needed treatment that made the whole experience so worth it. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel so welcome, it was Alexis & Alfredo who was working on Thanksgiving day. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. My hair looked absolutely stunning... smooth, voluminous, and perfect for the holiday festivities. Not only did the style hold up all day and some (this looks like it'd be good for another 2-3 days, the pic posted is my hair on day 2 already) but I received so many compliments from family and friends. The salon is chic, clean, and has such a fun atmosphere. I left feeling pampered and confident, and I can't wait to come back for my next special occasion. I also loved that they were patient and took the time to educate me on the different services and treatments. They weren't trying to upsell, but really just believed in the services so it was easy for me to decide to give myself the pampering I so needed. And I'm definitely coming back. I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a blow out. I have come to this location 3 times now, trying to give it a chance and I have left disappointed each time. I had a blow out this afternoon and requested a basic bouncy blow out. During my appointment, my stylist stopped to answer the phone or greet customers probably 7 times (this is by no means her fault, but more so a staffing issue.) A curling iron was used during my blow out which I've never had done before. I was unsure about this method, but my stylist assured me it was how she typically did a blow out. At the end of the service, when the pins were taken out of my hair, it was a mess. I had creases all over, an excess of product on my hair causing it to feel oily and greasy, and giant curls that I had not requested. My stylist was very nice, but this was not at all what I had hoped for and not what I'd expect for a basic blow out. My hair has now fallen from the drive home and I'm left with little to no volume at my roots, and curls and creases going in all different directions. I wish I had gotten my money back, it kills me I paid $70 for what I got. I would've been better off staying home and doing it myself. Overall, the facility is usually pretty dirty, doesn't seem to be taken care of, and they are typically running late. I also don't appreciate the stylist checking you out and watching over the cc machine for their tip. I have gone to other locations in Houston and had good experiences, so I think it's just hit or miss by location and this location is a miss. Do not come here. read more

I've been here many times over the past 5 years and my two most recent experiences, both this year, were not great. Customer service is lacking at the front desk and also by the stylists. My first visit this year was for a simple blow out and the stylist looked annoyed that she had to do my hair. Then in March I went in for a bridal hairdo, was not advised I needed a blow out for better results and was so disappointed with the $100 updo that took maybe 20-30 minutes. I came in for my graduation to get a blow out and my make up done. In the beginning she started with my fair. She got something stuck in my hair and had to use baby scissors and cut some of my hair... after that she had tried blow drying my hair and said that she would be unable to do a blow out and just curled it. Once she finished with my hair doing a service I didn't even want, she did my make up. I will post photos here for what the make up looked like... it was awful... my eye brows have a thick brown line, the powder was not blended, she used mostly elf products on me which I have nicer make up at home, she messed up my lips, and my eyeliners and eye shadow was uneven. She did an absolutely awful job and took forever. As I was running like I took photos of the mess of a face I had, ran to CVS, and fixed it all before my graduation... I was actually late bc I had to redo make make up and spent $80 at CVS to get make up to fix her mistakes. I called the following Monday to try and get a partial refund before ever making this post to see if the business would work with me. The offered me another blow out free of charge and nothing else. Won't last much longer. Beware that they are also trying to get you to automatically tip 25%. Ive been here before but after today I wouldnot return. Did a blow out with extensions and make up. The extensions were visible, hair looked stringy, I had to restyle the front and asked for them to brush it out so it looked leas stringy but they didnt. Thought it would be good to have professionals do my hair and makeup for corporate photos but it wasnt worth it. There wasnt even enough time to complete my make up. So I left without certain aspects of my makeup done. Overall not a good experience. The makeup artist tried her best but she had to spend time fixing my hair from the stylist. Upset that I wont be able to use any of the corporate photos due to how poorly my hair was done and the photo session was expensive. Lesson learned, do hair myself. read more

Terrible service! The hairdresser did not know how to handle my hair! She didn't know what to do or how to do it. And to make matters worth, when I tried to tell how I like it she got defensive and said she did not like my actitud... she said I was being condescending and rude!
