First off, they are apparently a long-standing salon but recently opened up with a new, sleek modern look. When I called to make the appointment, they were quick to answer and it was very easy to schedule. I went for a basic women's haircut which was $75. Lilian was friendly and clearly cared about doing a great job, listening to how I was wanting the hair to be cut. Going from longer hair to a shoulder length cut along with a shampoo and dry all took just under an hour. I am definitely interested in coming back! They're located on the second floor of a plaza with lots of parking, although it can be busy.

I have used Visible Changes for highlighting and haircuts for more than 10 years but never before have I had such a bad experience as I had last time I was there. I always have highlighting with Mirna and haircuts with Bridey, and am very happy with their job. I have long hair which took me a few years to grow, I cherish every single hair and was trying to grow it longer and Bridey is very careful and every time just trims it a little bit (0,5 inch). My last visit was the worse visit in all my life. I never thought that somebody could do something that bad to my hair that would make me cry. First of all, when I came, I found out that for some reason they changed my appointment with Bridey making it 2 hours sooner. When I made an appointment on the phone it was mentioned that I need at least 3.5 hours for highlighting. I was very upset and was ready to cancel my whole appointment, but they assured me that I don't have to worry as Bridey has no clients after me. So I went to Mirna for highlighting. Then when I was still with Mirna, Bridey came up to me and told me that she is leaving for wedding, and told me that she was forwarding me to another stylist (Bernie) to cut my hair instead of her. Bridey assured me that Bernie "is very good" and that she explained to Bernie exactly what to do with my hair. As soon as Bernie started to work on my hair, I realized that it was big mistake to allow her to deal with my hair instead of Bridey. First, she started to comb my wet hair starting from the top. My hair is long, very fine and easy tangled, but Bernie doesn't even know that this kind of hair is supposed to be combed starting from ends. She was combing it from the top which made my hair more tangled, and I also had pain while she was combing it. I told her to comb it from ends but she kept combing it her own way. She told me to hold my scalp with my hands to have less pain. Also, she gave me a comb so I could comb part of my hair myself. After combing, my scalp felt like it was burning. Then she started to cut my hair. When she was cutting my hair, it seemed she didn't know what to do. I mentioned that Bridey told her how I usually cut my hair, but Bernie told me that Bridey didn't tell her anything (later Bridey told me that she DID tell Bernie what to do and spent about 15 minutes explaining to her all details). I told Bernie that I wanted to keep everything the same but cut ends about 1/2 inch and that she has just to follow what I have now. She quickly finished to cut my hair, and I thought that it was just precut: sides of bang were not even, ends of hair was not cut good (when Bridey looked at my hair later she even though that it was cut with blade). Bernie told me that she was finished. When I told her that she has to cut a little bit better, she continued to work on my hair. She was doing something in the back of my head with my hair and I assumed that she was trimming my hair ends, but then I looked with the mirror at hair in back of my head I saw just a disaster - for some unknown reason she cut off a big part of hair in the middle, leaving a big gap of short hair in the middle. I don't know why she decided to do that as I clearly told her to trim the ends! Even if she didn't understand me, she should double check before to cut off big chunks of my hair. It took me few years to grow my hair and she cut it in few seconds! I was very upset. Bernie went away and came back with the manager (I believe his name was Jamie), who was very rude. Instead of saying he was sorry about what happened he told me not to make a seen about my hair as Bernie cut no more than 2% of it, also he said that there are more serious tragedies in the world than a bad haircut. In addition to that he told me that it was my fault as I made an appointment leaving not enough time between highlighting and the haircut. He denied the fact that appointment was made for 3.5 hours with a gap between highlighting and cutting. I'm sure that they have recordings of all appointments and they should review them and see exactly scheduled time and duration my appointment. Later I found that Bernie couple times cut the hair of my friend when Bridey broke her hand, and he told me he was not that the haircut was awful but he decided not to complain as man's hair would grow back in 2 weeks. It looks like they just forward to Bernie clients in some emergency cases to help her out, as it's hard to imagine that she with absolutely no skills (unless she intentionally has ruined my hair) could have any regular clients. I thought I will get over and finally put up with my bad haircut, but I'm still crying every time I comb my hair and look in the mirror. I can't wait few years until my hair will grow out the length as it was before Bernie had messed it up. I put 3 stars because they shouldn't let not professional people to work there. Also I would like to post the photo of my terrible haircut and send it to the main office. read more

I walked in for my appointment and was promptly greeted, which was the start of my great experience. Not too long after I sat down, I was welcomed by my colorist Stephen. I always have a good experience here. Karen does a great job on my hair. I have two boys, 8 and 3, and hair cuts have just graduated from daddy taking the clippers to em. They do great here too. I don't recall the names of who cut their hair, but they were very patient and cared about getting something that the kids wanted, rather than just listening to my wife tell them to cut it all. The kids loved their haircuts and will certainly be back. Oh and the kids love the treat of getting a lollipop at the end, which is just the right bribe for sitting still. read more

I've been going to Memorial City Mall's Visible Changes for several years now for my color and haircuts... I absolutely love the friendly staff and the excellent customer service. However, my absolute favorite is Myrna!! Myrna is a color specialist. She does wonders with my hair and I always walk out loving my hair color. She asked me numerous questions about what style I wanted and didn't start until I finished. What she created was a photograph of everything I described and I received THE BEST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE!!!!! I always say the sign of a good cut is when you can style it the same way as the stylist did the first time you wash your hair. Slight layers and a cut to my collarbone took me 15 minutes to dry and style and my hair looked PERFECT. I recommend Adrianna to anyone who books a haircut as she is a treasure!!!!
