I was visiting a friend in Corvallis, and we met here for a late lunch. I decided to get the meatloaf sandwich with fries and ketchup. Everything was exceptional! The meatloaf is homemade, and it was so delicious! The fries were near perfect and were seasoned very well. But their ketchup is the best ketchup I've ever had!! I think they use a tomato paste in their ketchup, so it was so rich and full of flavor! I definitely recommend this place! read more

If your a Craft Beer lover, Block 15 is a must stop for you...The atmosphere here is a casual neighborhood pub great for families...the tables in the booths are blackboards that your kids or yourself can doodle on...what a wonderful idea, rather than wasting paper or coloring books... For lunch, I had the Premium BLT sandwich special and my wife had a plain cheeseburger...the buns are freshly baked in-house and was absolute delicious, BLT had thick cut strips of bacon that would be perfect for any meal...As for the In-house brews, my wife had the Ridgeback Red Ale and I the Fruit Wheat Ale...If we didn't have to drive 1 1/2 hours back to PDX, we would have another pint or stayed longer... It was an amazing day in Corvallis that had everything and nothing to do with football. As a Stanford fan, I see my team play every time they are in Oregon, so that means alternating visits to Autzen and Reser. And when you have four ranked teams playing in Oregon on the same day, that means driving to Corvallis really early. And what do you hope for when you show up hours before your game? Finding a great brew pub to relax, talk sports and watch other teams play before your main event. Block 15 was perfect. We arrived early enough to grab choice seats at the bar so we had several TVs and great attention from the bar staff. There are also TVs in the game room, but I preferred the bar area. Both the food and multitude of beer choices were very good and definitely nicer than your average bar. Lots of locals were also stopping by to fill up their growlers for tailgating. In particular, I want to thank the staff and other diners for being gracious hosts to visitors. We had Duck fans to our right, Beavers, well pretty much everywhere else, and everyone was great no matter what jersey you were wearing. The funniest part was sitting in a Beaver bar watching the Ducks play UCLA. The Bruins had a lot of extra fans that day. Good Happy Hour options and we enjoyed multiple rounds of margaritas. We ordered dinner off the main menu and I had the Painted Hills 'Hand-Spanked' burger, although I was tempted by some of the German items on the menu. From the side options, I really enjoyed the Rosemary & Sea Salt Fries. Mr. K had the Sweet Potato Fries with spicy tomato ranch which was also good. Good food, good drinks and good company in a sports town. What more could a girl want? read more

This place is one of the worst places in Corvallis. They kicked us out for no reason. I appreciate their attention to detail yet being the away team, they told us they could not sell us alcohol and told us to leave. All they said was please leave after we asked the server to see the bottle of wine we purchased. I told the waitress that this was not the bottle we bought and she grabbed our glasses and said leave. Maybe she was trying to run a scam on us but it was not going to work. Very disappointed as we heard this place was a good one. We were there early in the day and things seemed to be ok. Taproom- Deschutes St. Great location/excellent food/delicious beer... We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant on the way to Newport & I always enjoy trying new breweries. I was extremely impressed. First, we both chose salads, which in itself is not typical for brewery food. My wife had the Sesame Ginger Salad (excellent) & I had the Buffalo Chicken Salad. What I loved the most was it was fresh, clean & well balanced. It was pieces of fresh chicken grilled in a great tasting sauce. One of the best salads I have eaten in ages.The beer was excellent, and I live in San Diego around some of the best breweries, so I am pretty finicky about IPAs. I know they're really popular and my one review doesn't matter, but wouldn't that mean that they can afford to remake a sandwich? Not knowing anything about this small college town that I was meeting a friend in on my way back to Seattle, I agreed to her suggestion of getting lunch at this local brewery. Having only tried their burgers before, I opted for the green chile burger with rosemary sea salt fries for a reasonable $9.74. A good burger overall, served with a hefty and quality beef patty, but nothing amazing, with flavors that didn't particularly stand out, served with what I believe was an untoasted bun. The fries were tasty though, fried just right, with very distinct and flavorful rosemary notes. My friend's sweet potato fries weren't bad either, but I've certainly had much better here in Seattle. Also, their bathrooms aren't fully wheelchair accessible - you can just barely fit a small wheelchair into the large stall, and in doing so, you leave almost no space to actually allow yourself to comfortable sit on the toilet. Overall, a decent restaurant for those in the area, but certainly not something to go out of your way for while driving on the I-5. read more

Headed back to my hometown to meet some friends for lunch. We decided on Bloc 15 downtown. What a total waste of money. Gin martini that I had to send back and the second one wasn't much better. The Caesar salad I ordered had wilted romaine , no garlic flavor at all, no anchovy flavor at all. For five dollars you can add smoked chicken. How wonderful I thought! It literally was an ounce or two of smoked chicken. It wasn't a chicken breast or a thigh. It was literally about 2 tablespoons full. So a bad martini a flavorless Caesar salad with an overly expensive add onto it, and with tip made this totally train wreck of a lunch to around $30. Have you ever been to a place where the service was bad, but you stayed because the food was hot and the drinks were cold? Yeah, this isn't that place. The nachos were congealed by the time we got them, our server was incredibly rude and lied to the manager, and the manager scolded us ("just so you know" principal's office scolding) for ordering a can of beer. At a brewery. To round our dining experience out out parenting was then brought into question because we didn't ask for a box for my son's grilled cheese. We didn't even finish our food or drinks. Just paid and left. I tended bar for 10 yrs and my husband was a server for 6. We aren't expecting to be treated like royalty or have servers demean themselves for a lousy tip. We understand everyone is overworked and understaffed, but having a manager crack a beer directly in your face while she reprimands you is a bit much. Two stars because the hostess was really sweet and a different server ran my son's sippy cup out to us. read more

Mid-day on a Saturday and Block 15 was hopping! We were advised that it might be about a half hour wait for our group of six, but it turned out to be only around 15 minutes, which was a nice surprise since we were all hungry! They have the nice system where you can put you phone number down on the waitlist and you'll receive a text/call when your table is ready so you don't have to wait in the restaurant. The interior has a clean, neighborhood pub kind of feel, service was pretty friendly and our dishes a solid "good." Standouts were the fish & chips (our server advised they get fresh fish in daily from Newport) and the soup of the day, which was carrot coconut ginger. My brother-in-law opted for the Green Chili Burger, which he had hoped would have a bit more kick to it. He commented that it had good flavor, just not actually much green chili. My sister and I both chose the soup as our side with our meals, though hers came with a packet saltines and mine didn't. Not that I needed the crackers or even missed them, that just seemed a little funny/inconsistent. Overall, we enjoyed our visit at Block 15 and I would come back to maybe check out their happy hour next time I'm in Corvallis. read more

We had a great experience here. The staff was super kind especially to my 2 year old son. They have a great idea of being able to draw on the tabletop with chalk! We loved the fries and the fish and chips was amazing - I haven't had thick, tasty breading like that isn't oily. We all enjoyed our food and the server was so nice that she noticed my son really enjoyed the BBQ sauce that she sent us home with a to-go container of it for him! The beer was excellent too!
