I don't think we will be back. The dinner this evening was nothing to brag about. My large salad was more of a medium size and my large fries was more like a kids meal size. The fish and chip meal was pretty good. The service was lacking. We asked for some more ketchup and we never saw our waiter again until he was ready to cash us out. It wasn't even busy. I was a server for over 12 years so I could not in good conscience give him more than a 10% tip. More wasn't earned. Sad since I like the atmosphere, but meals no longer worth the cost. read more

Food and prices were pretty good. Unfortunately, they were out of the top 3 IPA's I was exited to try, and a bunch of the food options were unavailable too. Didn't help matters that we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, and when we were seated (upstairs), the section was practically empty. I swear, I am never going back to Block 15. This is my second review of the joint since it opened, and both times were bad -- yet, of the two occasions, my recent visit was worse. To preface my remarks: I don't go to Block 15 for beer. I am sure their suds are fine, but I don't drink beer, it doesn't matter to me. I go there for the food. The last time frequented Block, what I received was a large amount of standard pub-style grub -- completely uninspired and average, but acceptable, I guess, if you're half-drunk and hungry. This time, however, the food was downright narsty. How you can screw up something as simple as fish and chips -- especially at a pub -- is beyond me. But there it was. Gray fish, ahoy. The waiter was nice enough as grinning hipsters go. He had a friendly smile. Forgot the ketchup, no big deal. But that fish Phew! The batter looked crispy enough, and the chunks were the right size, laying on an inevitably monstrous pile of greasy fries. But when I bit into them, there was a certain smell that, coupled with the gray color, spelled age. Not so old that I wouldn't eat them, mind you, but old enough that it made a difference. Twelve bucks and change for the platter, two bucks for tea, three bucks for tip -- that's a almost $20 for lunch, and now I don't feel so great. Block 15 makes me happy! If you're waiting for a table, order a beer at the bar. The beer selection is great; I've never had a bad one here. Once you get seated takes advantage of the chalkboard tabletops. I went on a hike prior to coming here and the chopped pork sandwich was the perfect meal to please my appetite. Block 15 Brewery was one of the breweries I went to when I was doing a tour in Corvallis of other breweries and any sights I may see. This was a very enjoyable brewery with lots of space for customers with an upstairs. Service was friendly but somewhat sluggish but the brewery/restaurant was very busy so it made sense as to why a delay existed. I wanted a beer here and got a fruity wheat beer which I really enjoyed. The flavors blended together very well making a very nicely made beer. read more

So we ordered food here, which we came to find out was during Bourbon month here at Block 15 so there were several bourbon/whisky cocktails to pair with your meal. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which came out piping hot, gooey with the cheese on top and were well stuffed. As you see, there were a couple of cocktails that were had, like the Schooler and Pancake, which had a very maple syrup type flavor to it that was decadent and sweet. The other side of the coin was the February Stars, which was infused with Thai chilis! Ever have a cold drink with a hot spice to it? I never had until this and I loved it. It is hot so if this isn't your cup of tea, pass on it in the future. We then had a patty melt which was just simply comforting and delicious. After all of that, we finished it off with the Coco Bell chocolate cake. What goes better with chocolate cake than a nice dark porter! Nothing. The service can be sometimes fantastic here and sometimes spotty depending on where you are seated in the restaurant. We have seen this a couple of times now. I am sure some of it can be whom is serving as well. The ambiance is well a busy pour and brew pub so this isn't going to be your romantic getaway spot that's for sure. The summer time affords more seating outside increasing the size of the restaurant pretty dramatically. Definitely a good place to go to when the feeling hits! read more

One of the few places opened during the heat dome/heat wave. Fortunate to get seating. created a flight of beer from the fairly extensive beer menu. Ordered a BLT, which was standard and nice, a burger which was tasty, juicy and very messy (definitely ask for more napkins upfront!) and the pulled pork sandwich (also tasty, juicy and very messy). Finally got to try this place, and the reviews are not misleading; the food is fantastic. The bleu cheese bacon burger with fried onions was everything I hoped it would be, and their house sauce was perfectly smooth and tangy to accompany it. The ranch that came with the side salad was yummy and made in-house, by the taste of it. Their Sticky Hands IPA is killer, and I also really liked the Dab Lab Juice Joint IPA. They have a variety of beers that is also not limited to IPAs (clearly my choice). They also provide indoor and outdoor seating, and are great with their service and efficiency. 4.5 for me...but I rounded up. Beer and nachos...two classics made even better here. Taphouse service was a expected; friendly, helpful, and very attentive. We took a Sunday drive on Saturday to Corvallis with the goal of getting some yummy brews from Block 15 to go, and they did not disappoint. We decided to sit and try some food and beer. I really liked that they will serve a 5 oz portion; I did not want to get drunk on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The nachos are NOT your classic cheese dripping mess...they make their own black bean puree, their own queso and we added smoked chicken...absolutely delicious. We are picky on our nachos and these nailed it! We will be back and look forward to trying more of the menu and I brought home 8 of their beers! read more

The food here is very good and reasonably priced. The ambiance is local bistro chic. The service is prompt and attentive.

Still love coming here. The weather was perfect to sit outside and the magic mushrooms were delicious. We always enjoy the spinach and Parmesan dip, but now it is just served with bread instead of the blue tortilla chips. Oh well. We will still return! read more

If you are looking for a great satisfying burger, but don't really want the "burger", I recommend the Earth burgers here. Super tasty and hearty and leave you with the sense that you just devoured something terrible for you when you actually didn't. You can order up how you want to top it. I went with avocado and grilled mushrooms. Delicious! Perfect with the Fuzzhead IPA I had with it. The place is bustling and obviously a local favorite. Lots on the menu and good beer on tap. The food and beer here are excellent! I love the wide array of beer choices and the fact that they have bottles of many of their brews to go for later enjoyment. The outdoor dinning area set up for covid safety has enough space between tables and some heaters. I felt comfortable, and I've been pretty cautious during the pandemic. My only complaint is that I don't live closer, but that's really just a personal problem. read more

This is a good spot in downtown Corvallis. We had to park about a block and a half away for lunch, but the weather was nice for the walk. We were seated right away, but as we left, new arrivals had a 25 minute wait. Our drinks were fast to come out; I was happy to get a prickly pear cider from local cidery 2 Towns. I had a strawberry fields salad with added sous vide chicken. The combo was awesome, the greens incredibly fresh. My husband ordered a build-your-own hamburger and the order came out entirely wrong. Fortunately, all the extra stuff was on the bottom bun. He just asked for a new base bun and that came out right away, and he enjoyed the sandwich once the swap was done. My son had the regular beer-battered fries while my husband had them with Cajun seasonings, and the fries were much enjoyed. In all, a good visit, and a place I'd go in Corvallis again. read more

I really enjoyed this experience. Super busy inside, super efficient seating process, so we didn't wait long, our server (Jerry? Geri?) was awesome, the beer was delicious, and the food was maybe 4 stars, but everything else bumped the whole experience up to 5. I got a burger without a bun with a salad and the burger patty was awesome, but it didn't seem like they pay much attention to their side salads, as it was boring. My partner liked his Southwest smoked chicken salad, because the chicken was delicious, but there were too many black beans. Those little guys are hard to wrangle with a fork! Overall, I'd be stoked to return. I really like loud breweries with good food and service. Makes me feel comfortable! read more

After going to an Oregon State baseball game, we decided to visit Block 15. I enjoyed the NW burger with American cheese and the bbq wings. The fries were battered and had a great taste. The burger had great flavor and was served on a fresh bun. Cedar was a great waitress and really went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. The restaurant has a laid back college vibe town vibe. Next time I'm in Corvallis I'm hoping to make another stop at Block 15! read more

I was taking the back roads back to Portland from a Eugene visit and wandered upon Corvallis. I was hangry and was looking for a place that used quality ingredients such as grass fed beef and local produce. After my Yelp search and reading the menu item descriptions for several places I decided to-try out Block 15. The moment I entered the door I was greeted by a pleasant young lady with a big smile. She asked me how my day was going. She gave me several options on where to be seated and I chose the upstairs loft. The waiter was not far behind and he promptly provided me with a menu and went over some options. He showed me the little container of chalk and told me to feel free to draw on the table. :-) I asked what he suggested and he said the burgers were outstanding. I chose the American burger with a salad instead of fries and an ice tea. The Ice tea showed up quickly and it was fresh. My meal was not far behind, about 10 minutes and this was at dinner time. The presentation was gorgeous! The burger came on a fresh potato bun there was more meat than bun so the ratio was perfect. The burger had thousand Island sauce on it, some dill pickles sliced lengthwise, tomato, onion, lettuce and American cheese. It was cooked just right...just slight pale pink and the toppings were very fresh. Juicy not dry at all! The side salad consisted of fresh mixed greens, carrots, some beautiful yellow heirloom cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and I topped it with their delicious house made blue cheese dressing. This meal was outstanding and great quality! The customer service lasted until I walked back out the door. As I was leaving the hostess asked me what I had chosen to eat, I told her and she said "great choice". She then wish me a great evening! I will be visiting Block 51 again and I'm looking forward to checking out some other items on their extensive menu! read more

Great food, great staff, great drinks. Love the vibe there and the outdoor seating is awesome for dog owners. They brought our dogs water even before asking us if wanted anything to drink. Love that! My 3 friends and I have been coming to the Jefferson street Block 15 on a monthly basis for nearly three years. The food is good and the service has always been great. Unfortunately, the last two times we have visited, the manager has been abrupt and almost rude towards us. The first time he tried to hurry us along after we had ordered drinks and appetizers. We always order dinner, but for some reason we weren't ordering soon enough. There were open tables and no one was waiting to be seated. The last time (January 15, 2025) he told me that I couldn't hold a table for our group because "the policy" was that at least half of the party had to be there in order to hold a table. This is the first I had heard of such a "policy", and I had to sit outside in my cold car and wait for my friends. We intentionally come on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at 4pm because we know it won't be busy. You would think that management would appreciate repeat customers, who typically spend $150-$200/visit plus a generous tip, and choose to come when it's not super busy. It's almost like he doesn't want our business. read more

Good beer but the waiter very clearly showed his annoyance with us just ordering beer and not dinner. It was a Tuesday evening and not busy.

I was seated right away, and the hostess was friendly. My waitress was highly professional, and made sure my pint glass was never empty for long. I tried a few different beers - they were all pretty good. The sesame ginger salad with blackened chicken was amazing. I got a side of fries. The waitress asked if I wanted the fries to come out first. I said that it would be awesome (but not expected) if they came out after the salad. This is the kind of request that throws off many restaurants - it's tough to get the timing down. To my amazement, hot fries came out about 10 minutes into my salad. Awesome! I've eaten here twice, and was pleasantly surprised both times. Highly recommend. read more
