Unassuming and wonderful! Friendly staff with a homey feel. It was my first time in and every next customer who walked in was greeted by name and met with a smile, the ultimate small-town coffee shop vibes. They just released their fall flavors- which all sounded DELICIOUS! The coffee and matcha are unmatched here!! We've been driving into Bethlehem north side for the last year since we moved to Hanover Township, but the coffee shop we've been going to for the past 3 years went way down hill so we decided to try Blockers since it was only a couple more minutes away. The coffee and matcha were excellent. I didn't love the sausage egg and cheese sandwich but I'm not going to lower my rating for a coffee shop for one food item. We also got a little thing of chicken salad and egg salad and both were good! Baked goods looked very good and will try next time! read more

Save your seven dollars. They called this the " spiders bite". Supposedly with coffee, cream, chocolate, and cayenne pepper. It looks like colored water, and tasted like colored water. Extremely disappointed. I like to help local businesses, but this, so-called coffee house is literally a joke, a very expensive joke. Never again. read more

En route to the Poconos from Philly, and decided to try to find a coffeeshop as a midway point. We were charmed to stop here - what appears very unassuming on the outside, is a welcoming/quirky/colorful little coffeeshop in the 'burbs of PA. The barista (co-owner?) was laid back and friendly. So many tasty fancy drink combinations to try. I opted for a plain decaf pour over, and my friend got a raspberry lavender drink that she described as delicious. My coffee was very smooth. We spent a couple hours playing a couple different board games, available by the windows. I also spied some interesting antiques for sale, and cool rings made from old silverware. And dogs! The owners had their sweet dog chilling near the cash register, who was very open to receiving good-boy pets. Highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area! read more

Absolutely loved this place! Was looking for a coffee spot with WIFI to get some work done while my gf was in the area for work. Stumbled on this place and so glad i did! Walked in and it was very welcoming inside. Plenty of space. Dog friendly! Tons of beverage and snack options. I got a chai latte that was so damn good i got a small one when i left too haha! Prices were on point with any other place. And they have very large sized drinks, which i love! Customer service was great and the people working were interacting with the guests/customers that were there too. I will go out of my way to go back there again! Yall are awesome! read more

What an amazing place! This coffee shop is like the old individually owned coffee shops that were everywhere before Starbucks annihilated the individually owned businesses. The old wood floors and speakeasy decor was so cozy, unique and welcoming. The barista was super friendly and a fellow customer friendly. A quick chat about sweaters amongst us and I was transported back to a coffee shop community I haven't seen in 25 years. The oat milk latte and croissant were delicious. Catasauqua is stepping up their game with the addition of Blocker's Coffeehouse! My sister took me there while I was visiting the family in the Lehigh Valley. I was a bit skeptical when she told me how good it was. Let me tell you, from start to finish our experience was top notch. The staff (we met a guy and a girl) were friendly, knowledgeable, and downright fun to be around. They knew everything about the fair-trade coffee they sell and also know what they're doing when they brew. My sister was talking to the woman about the difference between drip, cold brew, etc. The woman (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name), happily poured her tastes of everything while teaching us the different processes and the flavor profiles they create with the different beans. She really knew her stuff! I can tell the folks at Blocker's are passionate about their trade. What a breath of fresh air to have people willing to talk to you about it without an ounce of pretentiousness. I also want to mention the decor is unique and fun. I think it's awesome they kept the feel (and some of the actual signs and pictures and such) from the old hardware store!! What a great idea. I love when a new concept pays homage to what was...Blocker's was there for as long as I could remember! The staff, again, was happy to show us around and talk about the space. They were also ridiculously sweet to my nephews...and had games and such to keep them occupied. I honestly can't say enough good things about this joint. I hope they succeed and stay for awhile. One of the best cups I've had in the Lehigh Valley! The drip coffee is tremendous. I have been drinking the Peruvian drip coffee and it's great. Today I went with a pour over coffee. Ethiopian. Delicious, fresh, and just plain good coffee. The service is equally tremendous. Great people here, and dog friendly. I recommend this place as one of the best cups in the valley. read more

Completely felt as if I entered into another era in a positive way- maybe the 60's-with a touch of humor and sass. Ate a baked item that was delicious and sat in a chair from days gone by at a table with an extra leaf to pull up if I needed more space to work on a project. This place exudes an exuberant yet easygoing attitude and I left feeling better than when I had entered. I drank one of many coffee options on their menu and it was very flavorful. Great coffee. I was looking for something to do while getting work done on my truck and thought I'd try this place since it was within walking distance. The coffee was great. Made me think of 20 years ago when Starbucks was GREAT coffee. Before it started getting watered down and commercialized.
