The Bacon Strip is a cozy, casual brunch restaurant on Second Street in Coplay, known for its hearty breakfast plates. It's open Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday until 7:00 PM. Even though it was the middle of the day, I still couldn't resist ordering breakfast. This time around I went with the Bacon Strip Wrap, packed with crispy bacon, American cheese, onion, and jalapeños. They were out of home fries, so I opted for hash browns instead. My friend ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on a buttery-crisp croissant, served with hot, golden-brown French fries. Great visit at the Bacon Strip over in Coplay, PA. We didn't get there until 1:00 and yet our rockstar server, Taylor, greeted us and then continued to hustle with awesome service. New place for us, I always aim to order the pancakes because I love to try the different tastes, textures and flavors from different restaurants. So, I ordered their combo plate with two pancakes, 2 eggs, tater tots (home fries weren't available), 4 slices of bacon plus added a croissant. Substantial and satisfying. My hubs didn't want 'chicken feed' (foods that won't fill him) and so, ordered some lunch: a 6 ounce cheeseburger, L,T and those thin, stick fries, coleslaw plus a bowl of pepper pot soup. Stopped in Coplay PA @The Bacon Strip We knew when we walked into a warm greeting and delicious smells coming from the flattop behind the counter, we where going to have a great meal. Everyone that works there was so nice and the locals chatted us right up! We love a flat top and the woman who runs it is a master. I want to know the mixture she had in her squeeze bottle (we think butter and a little oil) cause it worked to cook all dishes, but nothing was greasy. Everything made-to-order, and oh the bacon. We both got omlettes - bacon (of course) and homefries with onions. BUT.... The sausage gravy!!! HOLY COW - we get a side dish when ever it is in the menu and we both said - the BEST we have EVER had.... The other owner (at the grill) said that if it wasn't on the menu, but the ingredients were available, she was more than happy to fix up anything anybody wants!!! Cute idea, but the execution could use some work. Hometown diner is fine, but no masks in sight, even though mask mandates had yet to be repealed. Food is average and, considering the name of the restaurant, the bacon mediocre. Waitress was nice enough, but we weren't checked on until we were nearly finished with our meal. They were open on Christmas Day and the place was jammin. Food was good, I had the SOS also known as cream chipped beef on toast, it was just like it should be. The beef was nicely chipped into tiny bits, no huge chunks. The wife had the meat pie which was pancakes made with bacon and bits of breakfast sausage. Coffee was decent and the mug never went empty. I haven't posted in a while but thought this morning would be a great time to post. It is Monday and I am looking for a good breakfast place. Unfortunately The Bacon Strip is closed. Can't say I blame them everyone needs a day off I guess I will wait until tomorrow to stop in. This place still is just as good as the first day I was there. They are very respectful of my allergy requirements and while they are not the fastest place it is because everything is made to order. I know some people get upset when it is crowded but seriously look at the place. It is a small family owned restaurant treating everyone like they are family. If you want fast food go to one of those shitty places. This is a home town place where everyone is there to say hello and start their day. Of course you can go for lunch and their lunch menu is just as good. I do recommend the shrimp tacos during lent on Fridays. OMG the best. This place is so incredible! We went for breakfast which was delicious. The waitress was amazing. This restaurant is clearly family run and treats customers like family. I know it's named after bacon but the bacon was actually incredibly better than other places! I also had an omelette which was great. Yummy in our Tummies! I had friends in from out of town to celebrate my Birthday so this was the first stop on our day of adventure to fuel up! The staff was as usual cheerful and welcoming. My best friend was amazed at how Fluffy the Waffles were. My younger sister loved Coplay Wrap because is was an awesome blend of flavors and toasted to perfection. Very small and cozy. The menu is small and when I went with my boyfriend it was semi full. The menu was limited and good prices.

Be careful not to overcook. I thought I was following guidelines in instructions and when it came out of the microwave both my bacon and more importantly the Yummy Can were completely destroyed. The product is not sturdy and if the surface cooking material can be compromised after just one use...what does that tell you? The ad says "discontinued due to supply chain issues" but the truth is more - discontinued because Yummy Can technology SUCKS!! read more
