Pork Roll, sausage, bacon, ham omelette

Took me a while to get here on the recommendation of Bob Marakovits and others. I am happy to report this breakfast joint is excellent! Pictured is pork roll, sausage, bacon & ham omelette with American cheese. Home fries were cooked to my liking and smothered in fried onions. The value here is equally as tremendous as the breakfast. The takeout ordering experience was flawless -- very friendly. #rushieeats

Great visit at the Bacon Strip over in Coplay, PA. We didn't get there until 1:00 and yet our rockstar server, Taylor, greeted us and then continued to hustle with awesome service. New place for us, I always aim to order the pancakes because I love to try the different tastes, textures and flavors from different restaurants. So, I ordered their combo plate with two pancakes, 2 eggs, tater tots (home fries weren't available), 4 slices of bacon plus added a croissant. Substantial and satisfying. My hubs didn't want 'chicken feed' (foods that won't fill him) and so, ordered some lunch: a 6 ounce cheeseburger, L,T and those thin, stick fries, coleslaw plus a bowl of pepper pot soup. He mentioned everything was real good. It was great chatting with owners, Emily and Ruben as we headed out. Really hard working, personable folks. May you thrive and prosper as you enter your 10th business year!

We LOVE when we find a great road trip breakfast, and today... well dang did we! Stopped in Coplay PA @The Bacon Strip We knew when we walked into a warm greeting and delicious smells coming from the flattop behind the counter, we where going to have a great meal. Everyone that works there was so nice and the locals chatted us right up! We love a flat top and the woman who runs it is a master. I want to know the mixture she had in her squeeze bottle (we think butter and a little oil) cause it worked to cook all dishes, but nothing was greasy. Everything made-to-order, and oh the bacon. We both got omlettes - bacon (of course) and homefries with onions. BUT.... The sausage gravy!!! HOLY COW - we get a side dish when ever it is in the menu and we both said - the BEST we have EVER had.... Maybe they need to open a second spot called The Sausage Gravy Bowl. #kiddingnotkidding

I ordered an omelette, and my son had the eggs Benedict. Both dishes came out looking great, and the coffee was also surprisingly good. It had that fresh, smooth flavor that's hard to find at most breakfast spots. My omelette was a bit on the mild side, not heavily seasoned, but I actually prefer it that way. It might feel a little too bland for someone who likes bolder flavors, though. Overall, it was a pleasant breakfast and a great way to start the day. Some things were good, others were disappointing. I couldn't decide between the breakfast tacos and the G145 egg sandwich, so I got both. This was the first time I ever ordered breakfast tacos so I'm glad they were delicious! They were piled high with chorizo, scrambled eggs, tater tots, cheddar jack cheese, pico, and sour cream. The G145 egg sandwich consists of two eggs, bacon, & American cheese on a brioche bun. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the roll was soft and flavorful. My dad ordered a strip steak and eggs. He said, "it was okay, it's kind of tough". A medium rare steak should never be tough. My mom ordered two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast. She enjoyed the eggs and toast, but said the potatoes were awful. I had some with my sandwich and I have to agree with her. They were bland and dry. Overall, I thought the food was pretty good, but the service was substandard. Our server was super unattentive. Eating and socializing behind the bar was more of a priority than checking on her tables. I was still generous enough to tip 20%. Pickup and delivery are both available. One thing to keep in mind if you're coming with little ones: I have twins and needed two high chairs, so seating options were a little limited depending on how they could arrange the tables. If you're in a similar situation, it's worth calling ahead so they can plan accordingly and make sure you're comfortable. Our waiter took a little while to get to us at first maybe 5 to 10 minutes before someone came over to check on us, but once he arrived, he was attentive, personable, and really helpful the rest of the night. After that, the food came out quickly. And the food? Really good. I had the Tex Mex with fries fries were fresh and the dish did not disappoint. The bread they bring out with the brown bread and butter is always a moment. Also had a passion fruit margarita which was a great call. For dessert I tried the tiramisu (decent, but not my personal favorite tiramisu) and the cinnamon cheesecake, which was delicious. We also tried the small BBQ burger with fries also a win. Overall a really enjoyable dinner and we'll definitely be back. Just a heads up that parking isn't right out front since this location is on a corner, so plan for a short walk. Bar took quite a while to make 2 mixed drinks especially with how empty the restaurant and bar were. Drinks went empty and never were offered or given refills. I ordered 2 apps as my main. Starting with the street corn "ribs". The seasoning, colors cheese, and mayo paired together well. It was lacking the cilantro that the menu said it would have, however it was good as is (in my opinion). I also got the stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were a bit soggy and the stuffing was charred but it did not taste intentional. There's a reason they are called the Cheesecake Factory and not the Mushroom Factory - you're going to want to pass on this. Overall, it was a fun girls night out, but it's not a spot I would go for a special date or a fancy night I would want to remember.
