I came to her with a severe haircut disaster from another salon and was terrified it couldn't be fixed. Giulia immediately put me at ease by listening to all of the things I wanted corrected and by telling me how she planned on correcting my hair. It felt like she was the fairy godmother and I was Cinderella. With a few snips here and there and I was instantly being transformed with a magic wand (or scissors) in this case! Afterwards Leo gave me a blow-out that had my husband marveling at how lovely I looked (when he hasn't said a damn word about my appearance for maybe a year!). I'm 53 and am losing my hair from thyroid disease when I had very thick hair as a younger woman. I know I shouldn't feel ashamed but I do whenever I get my hair done at a salon. Leo and Jenny were so humane about my absurd hair situation and I left feeling more attractive than I have in years! I'd grown out my roots for sooo long and yet Jenny was meticulous and made everything seamless and lovely, it was a masterful job... and for a very affordable price, I should add. She even massaged my scalp when she washed out the toner, which was such a soothing and lovely touch and totally unexpected. Leo, who is the wonderful proprietor and also a masterful stylist and colorist (given the beautiful work I saw him do while Jenny was dying my hair) asked me what I wanted at the beginning of the session. I wasn't sure I had conveyed precisely what I wanted because I don't really know the terms involved when I go in for highlighting but somehow Leo was able to interpret my needs flawlessly (I wanted natural and sun-lightened, not too bleached out and not with severe contrast... and that's exactly what Jenny gave me)! I will be reaching out to the NYS Dept of Professionals. After my visit, I discovered several complaints from others that mirrored my own experience. There seems to be a language barrier, as Leo often speaks in his native language. He is hesitant to answer questions and exhibits a negative attitude, at times even becoming angry and walking away. He yells, claiming to be an experienced professional, and insists on doing things his way. Throughout my appointment, he took smoke breaks. I was there for an extended period, during which bleach was left in my hair for over two hours--far longer than recommended. As a result, my hair is extremely fragile and damaged, and I now face a long road to recovery. Despite having had a consultation and provided photos of what I wanted, the service and final results were nowhere near what was shown or agreed on. Additionally, there were attempts to upcharge me. I felt vulnerable, unsafe, and fearful in Leo's presence. I was concerned about losing my hair or walking out looking like a complete mess--which, unfortunately, was the case. My hair was left orange and yellow, very porous and elastic, with fried ends. I had to seek out a specialist the next day who was willing to try to fix my hair or, at the very least, make me look more presentable. This experience was a nightmare I never want to relive, and I hope others do not have to endure the same treatment. Overall, the situation was so troubling that I believe calling the police would have been justified, but I was too distraught and just wanted to run out.

I booked the owner, Chris and was happy to find that he didn't charge more for Haircut and Blowout. The space was cute and cozy. Upon entering, I was welcomed and greeted by name. I was also offered coffee, tea, or water and given a place to sit. I opted for the coffee with Vanilla creamer and honey. Before the haircut, I consulted with Chris about the type of cut I wanted, showing photos of what I was thinking. He seemed confident and capable in his ability. Staff took me to the back to wash my hair with Sebastian products. After, I was given a red satiny robe for the haircut process. Chris was careful, expertly cutting and shaping my hair into the layers (to just below the shoulders) I've been wanting. He then blow dried my hair, giving it bounce, shine, and curl at the ends. The result was a beautiful head of hair showing off my new cut! Chris and staff were so friendly and genuine. The lovely lady at the front took some amazing photos of me, really showcasing my new haircut. Before leaving, I was able to try a Strawberry Kiwi slushie, which was refreshing, fruity, juicy and icy. I received many compliments on my haircut. I'll definitely be back!
