Debated on even if if I wanted to write a review but everyday i look at my hair I want to even more. I hate it. They lady was rarely nice but she made it seem as if she could cut curly hair but when she did it she pulled the hair down to where I asked and cut it so it sprung back up. She cut off all my curls and I am left with barely wavy hair when i used to have super curly hair. This is not the length i asked for at all and I don't want anyone seeing it the way it is. I've been searching for a salon while on vacation. I came across this gem and read many good reviews. Closed on Monday, I called this morning To check availability and they had openings. I had just showered, so I informed her I only needed a cut. Stephanie was helpful and quick! I was in and out in under 30 minutes and very reasonably priced. She inquired about the products I used on my hair To ensure she stayed with my own routine. Loved this! If im ever in the area again, ill be back! I thought long and hard about submitting a review. But the more I look at my hair everyday...I'm annoyed and upset. 1. The stylist called me an hour before my visit and confirmed she had black hair dye. I only wanted my hair black, washed, and trimmed. Nothing else. 2. I get to the salon and the stylist starts dying my hair. My hair is halfway dyed black before she realized they were out of dye. Not sure how she puts half a head of dye on my hair before she realizes she was out but...yeah. 3. She go to the store with the dye still on my hair. Come back with a different brand. Different color. It was a "semi permanent black" dye 4. She removed the dye from my hair. My hair was visibly the exact color it was when I came in. (Reddish brown) And the bottom half was jet black. 5. The stylist proceeds to state she felt bad and offered to drive to me at a later date to fix it or to arrange for me to come back. But I lacked trust by that point so..No. 6. I will say this. I don't like my cut, and obviously the color, but the way my hair felt pissed me off. The stylist made small talk with me and after asking what I did for a living, that is when she suddenly discussed higher prices. This is exactly why I tell people I have a low paying job, because the second I mention my actual career I am continuously hit with higher prices under the guise of a "better" experience. The prices I booked for was $120 the price she mentioned for a "better" service was $175. Yet. My hair looked, and still looks, a hot mess. Pricing: The reviews on this salon and quality of service indicates they need to lower their prices. They charge $75 to dye your hair. $100 for a silk press. I have been getting getting silk presses since I was 12. I have never paid more than $80 to literally straighten my hair. No style. No gimmicks. Wash. Trim. Straighten. $100? These people are insane. Final: I came in for a 1:30pm appointment. I didn't leave until 5pm. The stylist charged me $137.50. $100 for the silk press. $37.50 for the half of black dye she used. Why was I charged at all for the dye when my hair literally wasn't dyed properly is beyond me and not my fault. I am disputing the charge at this point. My hair looks crazy and I can't stand going to work everyday with this two tone look and consistent questions on who f'd up my hair... The stylist ended the transaction by asking for a tip.... The salon is marketed as a multicultural salon but my hair was drenched in oil. Uneven cut. And a noticeably terribly dyed hair. I don't believe they have much experience in black hair based on the way my hair was "silk pressed" and the fins product. I just want to know would any of these stylists pay $137.50 for these results on their hair and confidently walk out of a salon. They are nice girls, but no. I drove an hour and a half for this... I was better off driving to Houston to my trusted stylist. After a lot of thought, unfortunately, I would not recommend The Hair Lounge and will not return. I will be disputing the additional charge so that I can use that money to fix my own hair. read more

Since moving to Killeen from a larger city, I have had some difficulties finding a hair dresser I really loved. From the many I have tried... they were either too costly, did a bad cut or bad color (I am pretty picky about how I like my hair done), or were such a pain to set an appointment with. I finally set an appointment with Stephanie here at Blonde and it was by far the best decision!! She gave me one of the best cut and colors I have ever gotten. From the beginning of the appointment she was extremely easy to talk to and truly listened to what I wanted. She went over everything with me and took the time to inform me of different dying options (balayage, high/low lights, EVERYTHING!!) The blending was done perfectly, exactly like the Pinterest picture I showed her and the color came out even better than I could've imagined. I've sent all of my friends her way and felt it was only fair to inform the yelp community or anyone needing an amazing hair dresser... thank me later STEPHANIE IS THE BEST!!!!!! read more

Not only is this the best salon in the Fort Hood area, it's one of the best in North Texas. The salon itself is very modern and extremely clean! Have you ever been inside of a dirty Salon? I went in last week (walk-in) to just get a quick trim before my military training for the weekend. The lady was sweet, but stabbed the back of my neck several times with the scissors. I wanted to say something so bad, but I was afraid she would get even more flustered and stab me even more. Also she was cutting straight across which is a no no, even I know that! So now it is very blunt and not blended. And at the end I told her it was longer on one side and she swore it was even. You can see a definitive difference between my two sides. She said it was due to styling and so I agreed to just be able to get out of there. I had a nice cut before I went in and now I'll need to get it fixed or just let it grow. I won't be back, which stinks because I've been trying hard to find a permanent salon in this area. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but two weeks after my first visit, I'm just disappointed. My neighbor RAVED about her recent trip, so I gave it a chance. My stylist, Jessica, was great. Pleasant, friendly, understood just what I wanted, seemed skilled. She understood how to handle my curly/wavy hair without chopping off too much- a talent that surprisingly few stylists seem to have. I was pleased with the whole experience (I had a cut & touched up the color). Two weeks later, my color is fading, I have brassy tones, noticed several spots around my neck that didn't get any color at all, and, I have split ends. I've been getting the same color for over three years, and have never had these problems. Nothing's changed in my routine, save the visit to Blonde Salon. I had received a free Cut & Style by Stephanie gift certificate from a raffle, and I had heard of Blonde Salon & Spa from other ladies in the community. Since I was in desperate need of a cut, it was fortuitous. Upon reviewing Yelp reviews, I became alarmed - it seemed most of their positive reviews were filtered. However, when I checked out their Facebook page reviews, there were definitely happier and positive reviews. I figured since I was getting a free haircut and style, I was going to just go in and see how it went. I'm not a very hair-oriented individual since I'm awful at maintaining hairstyles. Overall, my entire experience was great from start to finish. I came into the salon with no real vision of what I wanted my hair to look like other than to cut it short (to donate) and to possibly dabble with some bangs. I told Stephanie to work her magic, and she did! When I told her I was donating my hair, she mentioned that the Salon donates hair to Children With Hair Loss and will take/send the hair off at no charge to the customer. I was more than happy to contribute. Stephanie was so wonderful to talk to also. When I gave her the minimum requirements that I had to be able to put my hair up in a ponytail or make it neat in appearance when needed, she took that into consideration and would demonstrate the length to ensure I was content. She did the same with my bangs, talking me through the lengths to show what the absolute minimum would be in order to pin back. I walked out feeling and looking fantastic. I went into Blonde Salon & Spa because they had overall good reviews. I made an appointment for a haircut and lash extensions. I won't go into detail on the haircut, aside from the fact that when I got home, I noticed how uneven it was and how choppy the 'layers' were. This was not an issue that I brought to the salon's attention. Nonetheless, the saying "You get what you pay for" has never been more true than with this salon. Onto lashes: I've been getting them done for 5+ years, the majority being at the same location with the same staff. I have had lash fills with other stylists in different salons in different states that, yes, may look a little different than the original lashes I had on, but still flowed nicely, looked natural and didn't bother my eyes. I spoke with Melissa beforehand and she told me we could soak my original lashes off and start over completely, or she could do a lash fill. I told her the type of lash, length and curl I usually got and she assured me that while her products were not the same, they were similar and would still look natural after she filled them. Typically with lash fills, I can get a 2, 3, or 4-week fill that are all priced differently, depending on how many weeks it has been since I've had a fill. The amount of time it takes to fill should be dependent on how long it's been since I last had a fill. "We don't do it like that here," she told me. "It's $45 no matter what." This should've been my red flag, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Melissa went on to "fill" my lashes. I was there for what I considered to be a 2-week fill, which typically would've taken 45 minutes to an hour anywhere else. She 'filled' my lashes for maybe 12 minutes, then turned the room's fan on high to *I think* help the glue dry on my lashes. When I went to open my eyes, a corner was stuck a little. Typically that wouldn't be a big deal, but Melissa proceeded to pull on the lash with her fingers, causing it to come off. I assume my natural lash came off with it judging from the pain and eye-watering that accompanied it. My reaction when I saw my lashes in the mirror was, I'm sure, memorable. They did not look natural. They looked crazy. Melissa even acknowledged later on when I called that yes, "They looked bad." I left unhappy, but didn't say anything about it. As the week went on, my lashes felt like they were being pulled. This has never happened before. I went into 2 other salons to get a free consultation and ask if they could look at my lashes and fix them. I was told by 2 different stylists that they were going to have to soak the lashes off and start over because the last fill I had gotten was done incorrectly. There was one lash extension glued to MULTIPLE of my natural lashes (2-3). It should be 1:1. When I called the salon to let them know the issue, I spoke to Melissa and she was basically unresponsive to my concern. Instead of addressing the issue as to WHY my lashes were bothering me (because they were applied incorrectly), she talked to me in circles about conversation I don't even remember having with her. About how I "admitted" to having been brushing my extensions too much and "cleaning them with my fingers" and that that was probably the reason my lashes were falling out.... BUT, I wasn't calling because my lashes were falling out. I was calling because she applied them to my lashes incorrectly. Confusing conversation, to say the least. All in all, the conversation got me nowhere. Not once was I nasty, ugly or disrespectful. All I wanted was to see if I could get my money back since she applied the lashes incorrectly and I was going to have to go somewhere else to pay more to have them fixed. She was not helpful to me in any way, nor was she apologetic. All she offered to do was let me come in and she would "soak them off for free." I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service at Blonde Salon. This is the first time I've ever felt the need to leave a review for a business that I've paid for services from, and I'm disappointed that it can't be a good one. I will never go back into this salon for any of their services, nor will I recommend them. read more

I am always impressed by the great service and attention I receive when I am in Blonde Salon. Amber gives me great haircut ideas when I want something fresh and uses color that covers my gray WELL and doesn't leave it feeling dried out or damaged. My massage with Heather is one of the best I've ever had. She was responsive to my needs, gave me a great deep tissue massage and I love the reflexology treatment. I recommend a full day of pampering at Blonde, they have facials and nail services as well....it's the perfect escape when you need some "me" time. read more

This is the second hair salon that I've been to that have rated their prices $$$$. I didn't go back to the other place because I was simply not satisfied. I've heard many raves on this place on FB so I decided to look at the stylists work and got in contact with one of the stylist. I figured, the more you pay, the better the quality, right? Wrong. The stylist had a deal for a free cut with purchase of color. I figured it was a great deal and was in desperate need of a new color and cut. After discussing what I wanted and showing her exact photos of what I wanted, the stylist told me it would be $60. We booked it in a few days and set it for 4:45pm. My hair was long and had an beachy blonde ombre in it. I wanted to cut it about 5 inches shorter with some layers and dye it a dark violet/red. Needless to say, I felt she was rushing to the max. After washing my hair, she explained the color wasn't come out as she wanted it, so she had to put a toner in for 10 minutes. She explained that toner sometimes makes her scalp itchy, but I told her I've had toner put in before and it never bothered me. Within a few minutes, my scalp felt as if it was on fire. It was burning and itching all over. Finally, she rinsed it out and said she was happy with the color. I started to become very concerned because not only did I feel extremely rushed, my scalp was burning, but she also did an incredibly messy wash. She sprayed water directly in my ear and the water proceeded to drip down my shirt and down my face. What a mess. I looked in the mirror when she was done, and the first thing I noticed was the red dye bleeding onto my forehead. She tried to wipe it off, but it was very clear that it was only making it worse. Not only was my forehead stained red, but my scalp was also a very VERY bright red. It was so embarrassing. She told me it was very normal and the color would eventually fade away. Had she told me earlier, I would not have booked my family pictures days after my haircut. She proceeded to cut my hair. I showed her a picture of layers that I wanted and expressed I did not want my hair cut straight across, and to keep my hair thin and not thick. I could tell she was rushing, because it was getting closer to 7pm and the other employees were already leaving the salon. When she turned my chair around toward the mirror, I was mortified. My hair was a lot shorter than I wanted, the layers were just wrong, and my hair still felt very thick. I told her my hair still felt thick, but she insisted the layers would thin it up. She immediately started straightening my hair and within 5 minutes, I was walking up to the front paying. It was around 7:15ish, and all I wanted to do was run out the door. I kept touching my hair and looking in the mirror and just thought to myself that there was really no fixing or saving my hair so I just paid and left. It total came out to $70 not including tip. For the next few days, I had to wear a hat to cover up the "bleeding" forehead and bright red scalp. The color came out beautifully, but this cut is all kinds of horrible. I have NEVER had a more horrible hair cutting experience than this. I am absolutely appalled that this is considered a high quality salon. The stylist completely ruined my hair. Oh and to make it worse, I decided to put my hair up in a pony tail and you can just see the poor quality of the hair cut. There was a chuck of my hair that my friend noticed that as way too long and I ended up having to cut it myself. The layers are absolutely horrible and styling my hair is just a nightmare. Now I'm stuck with this horrible look for the holidays. Yay. read more

Went in thinking 30-40$ was a great deal for a haircut at a salon. My hair was dry cut in 10 min and my hairdresser Stephanie seemed ready to dismiss me. The layers in my hair are completely uneven and don't make any sense, maybe because my hair was cut dry. So I went there on 5/19/2021 to have a balayage appointment. My appointment was with Kate. She is a new stylist she has only been out of school 2yrs. She was super nice. She seemed as though she knew what she was doing. Since she mentioned that she loved doin the balayage technique. Then after about 4 hrs I was in a toning station and I looked down and noticed that she had dyed my hair black instead of dark blonde. She kept saying it was due to the hair being wet. I told her that it was black she disagreed I told her she may need more training on her colors due to not knowin the clear difference between dark blonde and black...the manager came over and was goin to try and fix it but there is no fixing black on blonde hair... needless to say I left and did not pay for the messed up hair coloring. I got home and blow dried my hair to make sure I wasn't crazy... and sure enough with it dry it's even more noticeable the black dye on my dark blonde hair... looks crazy and I would not recommend a balayage coloring or a hair cut from Kate cause my hair trim of an inch ended up being a cut of 2.5-3 inches instead... ugh so frustrating...now my fiancé is takin me to Austin Friday morning to get my hair fixed. Also in my opinion this place is very cliquy. Some of the people don't really care for others you can tell by the dirty looks a few women give the others... made me feel uncomfortable. I loved Blonde Salon and Spa! I say loved because I no longer live in the area. I started going there because of Amber. I followed her from two other salons to finally, her own. I'm a military spouse who went to Amber for at least 5 years while stationed at Fort Hood. I've since lived in 2 other states and have not been as satisfied with my stylists as I was with her. She cares about her clients and does incredible work! When I wanted to go short, she knew just the cut that would work for my face. When she colored my hair, she knew what would work with my skin tone. I'm very surprised at the reviews on yelp. In fact, I always recommend her salon to my friends still in the area. I got my lashes done a few months ago and I hate to say it but they were the worst ones I've ever had. At first they looked good, but she was way too fast and put one extension on 2-3 of my lashes. This has ruined my eye lashes and they are broken and bald in some areas. I've had other professionals tell me that it will take a while to grow out and repair the damage thats been done. Sadly, I live on the next block from this salon and I won't ever go back for services. I had a facial there about 2 years ago and it was ok. I had better unfortunately. I decided to give it another try and got another there since they were having their sale. The girl couldn't really give me detail on what the difference was between the two facials. She was the one giving the facial and the receptionist. (short staffed maybe?) I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and she never asked if I was comfortable, did i need to sit up more, nothing. Her scrub on the facial was rough and I was red when I left. I ended up losing my watch there and I asked her to please give me a call if she found it or even if she didn't. I never received a call once. I even asked why the price for a haircut was different from the prices they had on their menu in the salon and she just stated "different stylists" and walked away. Never asked if I wanted to return back, schedule a haircut (since I was asking for the prices) I will never use this salon again. I received a hair cut ad style from Stephanie when I decided to donate my hair in November. I really loved that they worked with Children With Hair Loss, and that I just had to fill out some paperwork. They took care of everything else! The salon staff at Blonde is extremely knowledgable and clearly has a passion for what they do. My hair is very thick, coarse, and curly. I am very particular about the salons I go to and the stylists who handle my hair. (So much so that I drive from out of town to my appointments). I called last minute and was able to get an appt with a stylist. She seemed less than thrilled to be helping me. I had made my appt for a cut with NO style, seeing as that was $15 cheaper than the full deal. Upon going up to pay for my cut, the receptionist asked, "just a cut today?" The stylist quickly cut in saying, "no, a cut and style" forcing me to pay $40 instead of my budgeted $25. Seems like a really low way of getting more money out of a client. Last time I went to blonde and spa around January 2011, I asked to have red "stripped' from my hair and the stylist bleached over it. about 3 times roasting my hair Then she told me that dying my hair all one color was wrong! that my hair would have no body...
