Well, here I am again to brag on Jovita and the oasis she has here in Killeen. I am the type of person who allows themselves to get so busy that even 'free time' is spent doing something productive. (Case in point, I came out onto my porch to enjoy this beautiful weather with my dog today and here I am on my laptop, ha!) This past semester of school was extremely busy and demanding, so by mid March, I was on the verge of a stress meltdown. My husband suggested I call Jovita because I enjoyed her massage so much last time. I took his advice and called on a Thursday morning, expecting to get an appointment for the following day. However, Jovita's sister blew me away by offering me times later that day! She was so kind to ask about my needs and allowed me to choose an evening time so I wouldn't feel rushed. They are such thoughtful people! I walked in for my appointment that day and Jovita recognized me right away. She is so personable! The moment I laid down the stress started to melt away, even before the massage started! 90 minutes later and I was in heaven. She and her sister were kind enough to ask me about how school was going and invited me to come back at the end of the semester, before graduation. Well, that was the appointment I had this morning - and again, it was absolutely dreamy. The first thing I noticed was the lavender oil on the headrest, which really helps me chill out. Jovita was awesome, as I knew she would be, and my 90 minute massage simply went too fast! Absolutely amazing! I love massages but after moving to the area a year ago I was hesitant to trying any shops in killeen. I've had a few stressful weeks lately and some kinks building in my neck and back after bad days and nights of sleep to the point my neck was constantly hurting. I call on Friday left a message and was called back and scheduled for Saturday within 30 min. On Saturday the owner/massage therapist was so kind and listened to what problems I noticed. She examed my problem areas noticed a huge amount of tension on my left side and went to work. By the end of the session I was in heaven and now a day later I've got the hood soreness you get after an exceptional massage! Plus it was really cheap! I received some massage work here this weekend...and I am extremely glad that I did!! I have some tricky health concerns--including Fibromyalgia, a hiatal hernia, and also some extensive nerve damage down my left side (and even 2 blood clots in my leg!)--due to a severe auto accident that I was in about 3 years ago...so, I am generally, very picky about who I let work on my body! Unfortunately, however, I've had an extremely tiring & stressful week (my pain/ soreness levels have been high!). I cannot rave enough about the skills the two therapist have we experienced during our visit. My husband saw(Aurto) and I saw ( Jovita) the owner. First; clean, do not be put off by the Plaza it's located in. (The map quest directions were off ) Massage Ave. Has been in business this location for over 5 years. They are certified professionals, current posted licenses and business certificates. My husband bragged that Aurto gave a sports/ Physical Training type of massage. After PT daily he said he knew the exact spots over worked. I have had massages for years all over the country. Jovita has the perfect pressure and released tight muscles in a way I have never experienced I literally felt the muscles release. When I missed my due date I chose this place because of their availability, willingness to massage the places that trigger contractions and it was only 50$ for an hour. The staff was very VERY nice and completely respects every ounce of your privacy. I am not worried if another woman sees what I got going on but they made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. They have a calm relaxing environment, nothing to fancy though. Nice soft music.. Like I said I went in to start my labor but it has been 2 days and my little baby wants to stay put. It was a good massage, I should have gone 90 minutes. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because of the heat.. After a stressful week, both my husband and I decided that we needed something to reward ourselves. We decided last minute to call around to see if anyone could get us in for a couples massage asap. After calling around a few places, I decided to book with them because they were so helpful over the phone and they could get us in on the same day. I picked this location based off reviews. I didn't realize it was such a distance from my house but it was totally worth the trip. I bought the couple's package which for two people + military discount came to $100. The environment was really peaceful and calm. The room was a little cool for me, I'm cold by nature so I would have given the extra star if it had been warmer but otherwise the massage was perfect. I can't remember the masseuse's name, I'm awful about that, but she was blond, real sweet and soft spoken. She didn't talk my ear off so that was a plus, I really appreciated being able to relax.
