Updated their hours and menu. Now open on Thursdays and from 0800-1500 on the weekends. They've included a breakfast plate and breakfast bagel. Also, added espresso drinks. Scan their QR code for the entire menu. Traffic is cumbersome with all of the construction and thus detours to navigate, which is why I am not visiting as often. Online ordering can make things easier...delivery is also an option to avoid the area.
I don't know what the bagel spread is made of, but I'm hooked. Also, the bagel, how is it so light?? I want more. The Cold Oat Coffee is a favorite of mine now. I've had too many restaurants before make my oat drinks too heavy to compensate for the lack of thick dairy. This coffee was perfect. Thanks for the young lady at the register that recommended the plain bagel! She was a joy.
The food is always exquisite. Flavors are fresh along with ingredients - I always feel satiated and enjoy the vibe and environment or this lil treasure of vegan homemade food. Tried the chefs suggestion today for the first time protein bowl pineapple BBQ - beyond yummy !!! I added avocado just cause . It's worth a journey here always
I've been wanting to try Blondie's when they had their food truck but kept missing them. They are now located in Chinatown at the corner of Nimitz and Smith. I parked in the municipal garage nearby. It's a nice, cozy place with seatings inside and out. Upon entering, a friendly lady welcomed me. Service was good - my drink came out first and food soon after. It was my first time trying their food so she provided me some recommendations. They played great Hawaiian music but it was a bit loud to have a conversation. The place became full with other customers too. I decided to try their Ironman and added avocado as an extra. I loved the ciabatta bread. The vegan chicken, egg, and cheese tasted different from the ones I've gotten at groceries stores. It was a nice change and I liked the flavor and texture. The sandwich was very filling too, although it started to fall apart after a few bites. I'm sensitive to salt so that was the only down side, and I quickly finished my purple punch. The drink was delicious and refreshing. I really appreciate having a vegan option.

Today we both had the traditional breakfast sandwiches. They were delicious with a Smokey cheddar and a bit of spice. We also shared a maple and chocolate glazed donut. These were baked not fried. So I feel slightly less guilty. The maple was delicious. As usual the ambience was casual. She is as friendly and personable as ever. The place was clean and the prices are what you expect in Honolulu.
I can't believe it's vegan! Me and my coworkers were looking for a place to eat and my coworker is vegan so she recommends ordering from here. I was like wooah I've never had legit vegan food. So I went with a torta I got it spicy. I am in shocked by how much flavor the sandwich had all the spices it was absolutely delicious and I cannot believe that it was all plant-based and vegan we got delivery so the food came very quickly so it was still hot. The torta was huge and filled with the vegan meat and Stuffed with vegetables. I can't wait to eat here again I am excited to try all the other items they have to offer.
I've tried Blondies a few times back in 2021, mid-covid 19 years. Back when they were serving from a food truck, I left Hawaii that same year. During my return, I want to rekindle the nostalgia of my years spent there. I just had to have blondies. I've only ever ordered the breakfast sandwich. This time around, there have been significant changes. Blondies is no longer a food truck, and the breakfast sandwich doesn't taste nearly as good. I found the vegan patty to be less flavorful and smaller than the ones I've had in the past. However, the Nutty Banana Smoothie was excellent, and I would order it thousands more times if I could. Overall, it was an average experience. Maybe they've lost some of the luster due to the COVID years? We may never know, but I want the old blondes back!
The food: I've only had sandos delivered to me from Blondies till today, first time in the shop! First off, the sandwich was SO fresh and hot. I used to be vegan, and I know "beyond burger" brand gives me a tummy ache, and there's none of that nonsense here. My partner and I both got the same original breakfast sandwich with "cheddar". He's an omnivore and this was his idea. 10/10 from us both. The coffee: iced americano and mocha were ordered. Solid standard americano. The mocha is super flavorful. They mentioned they could have made it sweeter if I needed. Y'all are wildin' if you need that sweeter; it's a perfect little dessert drink. I even had a 16oz personal cup that they were able to fill (so so kind, I know a lot of establishments can't, which is understandable). Ambiance: it's an airy little shop. Clean, spacious to get your order in comfortably menu on paper and on this enormous screen above the ordering bar. The customer service is so good. Cashiers usually ignore me because I'm quiet and don't do the ordering but they were just so attentive. Thanks so much folks!! It's a cute little cafe and we're planning on going back on a Sunday Morning and experiencing the cool ambiance. Service was friendly and efficient. I had the BBQ chicken and Mac and cheese, very delicious amazingly Vegan full of flavor and awesome texture. My husband enjoyed his Iron man on Cibata pleasantly spicy!! I also enjoyed the plantation iced tea.
I was so excited to try Blondie's. I waited over an hour to get it delivered (totally fine) I ordered a double cheeseburger and chose the garlic cream cheese sauce. Regretfully so, it stole the show completely. Not in a good way. It made my burger bun soggy, and it was extremely messy to eat. The flavor was not great in my opinion either. It took away from the whole experience. I didn't enjoy eating it and that bummed me out. As someone new.. i don't think they should have the garlic cream cheese sauce as an option because it feels like it doesn't belong on a burger. I had no other sauces or cheeses on the burger which made it a very bland experience. Which also bummed me out. This was My First Time Visiting Blondies Café and I was in Love! When I Walked In to Pick-Up My Order I was Immediately Welcomed with Genuine Happiness. Cybil's Energy was Contagious and Put Me in Such a Good Mood for The Rest of The Day. I didn't Get to Take a Photo of My Rainbow Warrior Smoothie, Because it was So Delicious That it was Gone in an Instant. It was a Perfect Blend of Ingredients and I'll Definitely Order it Again During My Next Visit. The Iron Man was Packed with 31g of Protein and I Could Definitely Tell. The Ciabatta Bread was so Soft & Warm, Which Complimented The Vegan BBQ Chicken Bites. Blondies Vegan Egg was The Best Brand of Vegan Egg That I've Ever Tasted. It doesn't Seem Vegan at All. These Were Truly Made with Aloha & I Will Be Back Again! I Love Supporting These Kinds of Women and These Kinds of Restaurants/Businesses! Mahalo :)
i absolutely love this vegan café.. the sandwiches are always fresh and flavorful, and their smoothies are just incredible.. so refreshing and satisfying. im not even vegan, but this place has become a favorite of mine i also love supporting local businesses, and this one is owned by the sweetest mother-daughter duo.. theyre so kind and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. If you're looking for delicious food and a cozy atmosphere, definitely give this café a try!!!!!!
Still 5 stars for this woman owned and powered business! This time the wait was a little longer than anticipated but I didn't mind. For my wait I was given a larger complimentary drink that went with my Yelp sampler of haupia and taco. The samples I recieved were all delicious and I reviewed them on the event page if you wanna know you have to read my other review :) We order the purple punch, iced coffee with hazelnut, and 2 breakfast sandwiches. The purple punch was sweet and refreshing. The cane syrup could have been toned down just a bit to allow more of the hibiscus tea floral notes to come through in my opinion. The iced coffee with hazelnut was delicious with the strong coffee undertone and nutty sweetness of hazelnut. We added oatmilk which added a nice creaminess but totally overpowered the nutty hazelnut and even the coffee flavor. I think next time no oatmilk. The breakfast sandwiches were both good. I preferred the one on ciabatta over the English muffin. The vegan patties were soft and smokey in flavor, I loved it! We added avocado to one sandwich and actually split it between both because the portion was so generous. The ciabatta sandwich had the garlic cream cheese which I preferred over the cheddar on the English muffin. The vegan egg was fluffy but rather tasteless, not that it mattered with all the flavor that was packed into the vegan patty. This place is great and so are the ladies that run it so please go out and support!

Came with my parents and husband to try out a new to us vegan place on Oahu, and most of us were pretty happy with it! Three of us got the Iron Man Sandwich (only one of three got "spicy" and it was apparently not super spicy, so spice wimps like me could probably handle it), and my mother got the cheeseburger. The three of us with the Iron Man liked ours, but my Mom wasn't impressed with her burger. My husband also got a banana and peanut butter smoothie (the "nutty banana"), and my parents got the Nutella chocolate milks, and everyone was pretty happy with their drinks! The location itself is pretty cute and small, and appears to be operated solo by the lady we assumed to be the owner and eponymous "Blondie." She was really friendly and helpful while we were trying to decide what we all wanted (we can be a slightly indecisive bunch). I thought the wall of little index cards illustrated by various patrons showing where they were from was a really nice touch! We chose to sit indoors, since outdoor tables that would take four were occupied, but it might be noisy out there with the proximity to the main road. Inside the music can be a little loud, too, but the lady behind the counter turned it down some for us, which was kind of her to offer. Overall a decent little vegan sandwich shop with a great smoothie and drink selection! I think if my husband and I are about town on our own on our next visit to the islands, we might stop by again, but my parents will probably opt for other things given that my mother never gets beyond a first impression. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a nice vegan meal and beverages! read more
Happy belly.... What a difference location makes as I remember their humble start with their food truck in the lot of Lowe's is now has a permanent spot either on the edge of Chinatown just off on Nimitz and Smith as you can't miss the oasis they created with some seating with bright blue umbrellas for a cozy spot to enjoy. Parking is the greatest challenge though there are a few street metered parking fortunately they are right beside a municipal lot that's just the fraction of the cost though on Sunday all street parking are free. Though there are some cute outdoor spot to enjoy some fresh air the indoor vibe ain't so bad either with artificial turf along with huge windows that bring in the light with bench seating does give that picnic feel while you enjoy and cool of in the air conditioning. What did I enjoy...well thanks to Nadine and some gift certificate she had it was a generous morning of fresh pineapple juice with breakfast sandwich on English muffin all vegan and plant based was just so light and refreshing which is a great way to start my day. The service is always so friendly at this family owned and run biz as they still keep to their amazing menu and vibe that they have here is just so nice and relaxing place. Thank you! read more

Vegan food truck in Honolulu, Hawaii... Sounds odd, right? But... It's good! My friend, Ku'uipo D., told me to check this place out. I trust her, so, I went on a Monday without doing research. They're closed. Another day, I woke up late and went again to the Lowe's parking lot in Iwilei. They closed at 2pm. Sigh... The next attempt was through the Yelp Hawaii's Elite Squad. We had to make a reservation and choose our menu item. I selected a breakfast taco... It was so yummy that I gobbled it down and didn't post any photos on this business page. However, I did post photos with my five-star review of Blondie's Food Truck on the Yelp business page. Why five stars? Not only was the food beautiful, tasty, and healthy... It's also because the service is so genuine, helpful, and patient! I had posted photos of the plant based food on Instagram and my friend on Kauai asked how it tastes. Blondie's response was thorough and informative! Thank you! At that time, I ordered the vegan kabobs with vegan Mac n cheese. Usually, I don't order dairy products because my tummy can't take the lactose. This time, I ate without fear of pain! It was wonderful - especially because I took my meal to the Kaka'ako Waterfront Park and enjoyed the fresh air and wonderful scenery! Today, I got the vegan burger with vegan garlic cream cheese and local lettuce, tomato, and onion. Wow! It's just like a real burger without being greasy! It felt clean and satisfying at the same time! Yum! I ate the burger and fresh, sweet watermelon slices in the parking lot because it was so delicious... I couldn't stop eating! Haha! I'm going to go back and get the vegan cheeseburger with smoked cheddar cheese next time! Yup... I think about food a lot! ... making food dreams come true! read more

We parked in Lowe's iwilei parking lot and saw the white food truck on the far left side. We ordered the Blondie's Vegan Torta $14 It was very good with Ciabatta bread, Spicy Baja Vegan Chicken, Vegan Garlic Cream Cheese and a side of seasonal fruit. (Orange slices) Cybil was very pleasant to talk to and we learned that their hours are Tues - Sat 8:30am - till sold out (which is usually 1:00pm) A nice little lunch spot if you're in the area! There's no tables so we ate in our car. She also mentioned they're working on their app/website so people can pre-order. read more
See my prior review but this veg head place is great the staff are very Aloha friendly and products are surprisingly great!!! A must go to stop. Now open Tuesday to Saturday until 2pm. I had the double veggie burger but on a ciabatta roll vs regular bun. Which was great! The burger is really great and very tasty. Worth the higher cost because it is much healthier. I am a second hand vegan as I eat beef whom Are vegans. And I like this burger!!! It's great. Oh this was a lot of food so I cut it in half and ate it with the roll and it was great. The second half I removed the roll and lettuce wrapped it. Very very good. So I hope they can lettuce wrap it always??? Really tasty. read more

We came back for round two this trip:) Decided on the Iron man 31 grams of protein breakfast sandwich and it was to die for tasty. I love their homemade egg mixture and the fact that the protein is dairy, gluten, soy and nut free. This sandwich was huge and I left a little of the ciabatta bread behind because I was so stuffed. The owner shared the macros with me and we left very happy customers. We will definitely return on the next trip to Honolulu. You must stop here for tasty vegan breakfast or lunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating with lots of nearby street parking. read more
I'm going to post this as a review, but full disclosure, I got the ice tea haupia and taco sampler for free as part of a yelp elite offer and paid full price for the BBQ meatless burger. The order system didn't work. I tried to call and left messages which eventually worked to place an order and pickup time and date. They said it was going to switch over to a new one that week, so I haven't tried it since. Almost everyone commented on how the online order system didn't work as I stood there waiting, maybe about 8 people. That is a good sign, there was a steady stream of people parking in the Lowes parking lot and walking up. So they must have a good rep. My order wasn't ready. I had to wait long enough so I wondered why pre-order instead of just walking up and ordering. Took my food and we tasted the tasting menu first. Hibiscus tea was yummy, unsweetened and strong flavor. The haupia was too sweet and not much coconut flavor. The vegan meatless taco with Pico de Gallo was tasty. The BBQ burger which I ordered because they said it was their most popular was very mediocre. The bun was soft but it was like a whole loaf, much too much bread to sandwich filling for my taste. The actual BBQ vegan meat substitute looked like that fake meat some kebob places pretend is meat but it is really some sort of pressed something. The sauce could not hide the taste or texture for me. I ended up eating maybe 1/4 of it and hard for me to do, but I threw the rest away. I'll try it again after they have a chance to work out their ordering system and try something else on the menu and update if it is better. read more

First off want to say, thank you for your kindness and friendly customer service to the girl taking orders. They have a variety of coffee, teas, and smaller scale food menu. It's located right in the Lowe's parking lot, easy to find. I ordered the iced oat coffee, the Mac attack coffee, the bbq sandwich on ciabatta and the iron man spicy bbq sandwich. The coffee is absolutely delicious, has a nice sweetness to it and it's topped off with oat milk foam. The bbq sandwich on ciabatta was just okay honestly. When I picked it up for a bite, everything literally fell out. The shredded cabbage and mock chicken pieces tumbled right out! Shucks! I scooped them back inside and it just kept falling out. The meat is really soft and the bread too, would have been nice if it was toasted to give a little crunch and contrast. Maybe with some sauce to help bind the insides together or maybe a sauce to hold the cabbage slaw together? The bbq flavor was nice but it left me wanting more. Not sure how the iron man sandwich tasted because it was bought for someone else. I do appreciate that they offer all plant based options because it's not easy to find vegan eateries around the island and that open early. Thank you! read more
I wasn't sure what to expect food-wise since I had tried vegan food several years ago from a vendor at the Kailua Farmers Market. It was a raw, vegan lasagna which was pretty good tastewise but left me wanting for something with a little more oomph in texture and mouth feel. After a night of Happy Hour cocktails to celebrate National Cocktail Day (hehe), I was feeling a bit parched this morning. I was hungry but didn't want anything heavy since my stomach wasn't quite up to par (my own fault of course). I got a Baja taco and a sample of haupia along with a small sweet tea. The haupia looked good so I ordered another full sized one to take home. The taco was warm and really tasty with a nice "meaty" texture. I don't know what plants they put in there and don't really care because it's delicious; no weird textures or tastes. The haupia was almost indistinguishable from regular haupia. The only difference was that it was almost "fluffy" in texture which was not a bad thing. I've had regular haupia that was too firm, almost like a gelatin, and I would definitely prefer this one. This left me totally satisfied; filled but not FULL which was good after last night. Part of their plant based lifestyle philosophy is sustainability of earth's resources. So much so that their truck is actually powered by a huge solar panel rather than a gas generator. Definitely a winner in my book and a place I'd go to again. read more
I'm not vegan or plant based, but I do like to try new places. The food here was surprisingly tasty and I love the environmental/sustainability mission. All the containers are paper and even the fork was made of wood. I got a taco and the protein bowl and I have to say I liked the taco the best. The haupia was also very good as well. I also saw photos of the sandwiches and would want to come back and try one of those if I'm in the area. It's actually kind of nice to order because they text you when it's ready and you can sit in your car and relax. read more

I must admit that I was a regular customer when they were located in the Nimitz Lowe's parking lot. Then I started working in Waipahu and I just never got a chance to make it down to their brick and mortar shop in Downtown....UNTIL THS MORNING! I am so happy and proud of Paula and Cybil! I recently had the breakfast sandwich and an iced espresso. The service is ultra-friendly and the food came out fast and fresh. Always a little skeptical of something new, I tentatively took a bite of the sandwich and I was quite impressed. The fillings were very tasty and satisfied my craving for a substantial breakfast sandwich. Meat-lovers will of course say it's not meat, but I suggest they give it a try. I also judge a breakfast of any kind on how long it "keeps me" til the hunger pangs kick in. I was pleasantly surprised to find this substantial sandwich kept me til lunch! I saw Blondie's on a friend's story on Instagram and when I saw it was plant based food, I wanted to try it! It was recommended that we order online and we did! And when we arrived and got our food it was ready and good to go! However, if you are going on the days they have their specials I think you have to order in person at the food truck. A friend and I went on the day it was a $1 off any size Latte and they did not have that promotion when checking out online! Now let's get into the food & drinks ~ I ordered two sandwiches and my friend and I both ordered a latte each!: Vegan Maple Breakfast Sandwich 4.5/10 Their vegan maple sandwich was made with vegan chicken and their vegan sausage! It was drizzled with maple syrup and sandwiched between a toasted english muffin! Personally for $8.00 I didn't think it was worth it. The portion for the sandwich was pretty tiny and the flavors tasted a little odd together. Blondie's Vegan Breakfast Sandwich 7/10 The blondie's vegan breakfast sandwich is made of their vegan sausage, their vegan egg, and their own vegan cheese! You have a choice of picking what type of bread you want it on. You could pick between english muffin or ciabatta! I got the English muffin. For a plant based sandwich I thought this one was pretty tasty! It definitely tasted a lot better than the maple sandwich. The texture of the egg and sausage was pretty interesting! However, when biting into the sandwich it did crumble a lot :(! Cold Oat Latte 10/10 When I order my Cold Oat Latte I thought my latte wasn't going to be that sweet, because the only sweet thing added to it was the cold foam, so I asked if they could make the oat milk sweet as well. For the medium sized latte it came out to $4.92! Which I thought was reasonable and the cup was HUGE. But, oh my gosh this is probably one of my favorite Oat milk lattes I have ever ordered!! I would definitely come back for the coffee!! Overall, The staff is super sweet and coffee is super good! For the food I would not mind coming back to try something else! I will be back forsure :) read more

We were going to another spot nearby but decided on Blondies instead and I was not disappointed. The drinks were delish and the service was great. Cute little spot but no bathroom. We walked to a corporate spot off of Queen and Bishop with a public restroom that was only a few minute walk. read more

I have tried the breakfast sandwich and BBQ (spicy) sandwich so far. Both were very good, I didn't miss real meat at all. The breakfast sandwich tastes like a more deluxe egg McMuffin with "sausage" and "egg" and avocado. The BBQ sandwich I got spicy and had their fake chicken and cabbage on ciabatta bread. I couldn't really taste how the "chicken" tasted on its own since the spicy BBQ sauce is what I tasted the most. The bread was big so it made for a filling meal. The cabbage wasn't seasoned so that's my only complaint. If it was treated like a coleslaw that would make it even better. It came with a few slices of orange instead of fries which is healthier, though this would go great with fries haha. Vegan food tends to cost more but it is nice to know they make their own products. They are very friendly and tend to sell out so make sure you place an order ahead of time! read more
