Pickup: I arranged a pickup time and met her outside within minutes of messaging. Food: everything was delicious! My favorite were the appetizers, the veggie fritters and fried tempeh. Invited 3 of my friends and my boyfriend to try out Loliana's private Indonesian cooking class with me. Here's how the process goes. A day before the cooking class she will send you directions of where to park at her apartment and then she will meet you on the visitor floor. Once you enter in the apartment, there will be a table of all the ingredients of all the foods you will be cooking today. We then took a picture in front of the table of ingredients with our cooking certificates (best to take the picture now so you won't look tired haha). We put on our aprons and washed our hands to get ready to watch Loliana do some cooking demonstrations. Here's the food we chose for the lesson: Team Veggies: *Balinese spring rolls *Gado gado salad rolls *Vegetarian Nasi goreng *Cauliflower chicken wings with buffalo sauce Team Chicken: *Balinese chicken spring rolls *Chicken Nasi goreng *Chicken satay My biggest recommendation is to start the cooking lesson early morning like 7am or 8am because you'll be cooking for 4-5 hours. Some of the sauces to add in the meats are tedious to prepare so Loliana premade it in advance to help cut down the hours but she will show what ingredients was needed to make it. It was a really fun hands on cooking experience! The dish that I enjoyed making the most was the Chicken satay! I would most recommend trying out this cooking experience!

Watching it being build to order is nice and the generous amount of avocado is very nice along with lettuce, tofu and carrots is the vegan option but at $15 felt a bit tough and very small. You do get two sauces and with three types to choose from since this is for mom I just went with peanut for both choices. It has a deeply aromatic, fruity scent and a flavor that is intensely sweet and tart. The crust was very flaky. 3. Calamansi Mango Meringue Tart - 9.5/10 - refreshing but a bit sweetened. 4. Merry and Bright Holiday Marketplace at Tidepools is where the discovery had been made no fancy decor or smiley holiday flair but simple quality baked goods that truly capture my cravings with Hojicha Oatmeal Whoopie Pie, Earl Grey Morning Bun, Buckwheat Walnut Financier, and Black Sesame Rice Krispie Treats and so much more but yes I grabbed them all and am so glad I did as I continued to shop around only to return to grab another item to find many had sold out already...woah! So I did question the staff where I was able to find them and if they did any other farmers market or craft fairs to only find out this was the first one. You can find HQ which is Hana Quan and she's currently placed her baked treats at the Curb but are able to place an order online through instagram. They were amazing crafted treats that wasn't too sweet but definitely had the umami burst and unique flavors that I love but yes I do admit they were quite pricey but didn't disappoint as well and gave the holiday treats something that we all didn't expect. Via Instagram, customers sign-up for the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. They will message you for pickup time if you're selected. You may takeout or dine-in. The menu for 9-22-24 was a Bento and the dessert was a matcha flight - a scoop of ice cream, warabi mochi, and a regular mochi. Everything looked too beautiful to eat! We watched the workers assemble the bentos and matcha dessert flights. So much concentration and effort is put into each item! I was able to order one of the limited Kahi drinks. It's made with amazake, Yuzu purée, unsweetened yuzu soda, and matcha from Japan. The combination sounds odd, but tasted great! There were bits of yuzu with rind on the bottom of the cup. The citrus flavor was refreshing! This experience makes me want to sign up for the next event - October 13! I wonder what the menu will be...

This month of November they are serving a very satisfying HONOKEEMA curry set using HONOBONO original gluten-free koji curry paste made with five kinds of spices, fruits, vegetables, and koji; simmered with mushrooms, onions, tomato, konbuk kelp, and shiitake mushrooms. Amazingly the curry is topped with a very believable HONOBONO vegan egg yolk. The curry set is paired with a mini soup and salad of the day and a small bite of mochi. We also got the Imo Frappe - a plant-based version of Starbucks sweet potato Frappuccino and the Aki- amazake with raspberry purée, unsweetened strawberry, sparkling soda with premium uji matcha from Japan.
