    Tofu katsu curry
    Anthony P.

TOFU KATSU CURRY!!! TOFU KATSU CURRY!!! TOFU KATSU CURRY!!! Probably the best vegetarian gem on the island. And you have to get ...you guessed it... the tofu katsu curry. Super friendly staff and cute decor. Not a lot of seating space but well worth the visit. Parking is just metered in the front.

I got the tofu katsu curry and they gave me extra potato katsu for free since I paid more than $10. The potato katsu tasted like beer, so I wasn't a fan. The rest of my meal was fine, but the katsu wasn't fried enough so it wasn't crispy and everything else was okay. I expected better, especially with such a long walk commute each way. They also use AI artwork for specials (especially sweets), and don't seem to be familiar with allergens. The sweets they do have are frozen, and a lady at the table next to me tried to eat them but they were too frozen to eat. I don't think I'll come back.

I came here on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy. I was able to order my food and find a seat with no issues. Food: I ordered the katsu plate with half tofu katsu and half tempeh katsu. I had not been here before so I wanted to try both. The portion was pretty good. Both katsus were delicious. I don't think I had a preference over either of them! The breading was also pretty good. The katsu sauce was delicious. Service: Service was quick and easy. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. Food didn't take too long to arrive. TL;DR - I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Peace Café has come a long way and stayed true to their mission. The manager, Miho, strives to provide great quality ingredients, no GMO, no MSG, and always 100% vegan/plantbase products to serve to their customers. The each dish has great flavor and an innovative way to make plantbase great tasting. My favorite and my recommendation is the tempah katsu curry! Bold, flavorful, and creative. This delicious dish is my top choice on their menu. If people are looking for more of a gut healthy dish, I was recommended Moroccan Stew. Simple and delicious! The interior has a fun and welcome vibe to enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and your day. You'll truly be at peace. Friendly staff and plenty of street parking. Peace Café you've earned your final star! Thank you for your hard work to providing GREAT meals for the community to enjoy!!

The food was so fresh! We left feeling nourished and full. Portions are great size. The sesame latte is very unique and worth a try. Coffee lovers add espresso. The service was friendly and fast. I love the vibe of the place. Very wholesome. I felt like I was at a friend's place.

Fresh veggies with yummy flavors and decent portions. THEY DONT USE MSG OR SUGAR (just maple or agave). Not many places prioritize health AND taste nowadays, but they pull it off. Their tempeh katsu is better than the tofu katsu because it's not as bready as the tofu katsu. I love how colorful their plates are with such a variety of sides.

Drove by million times so wanted to give it a try. Small quaint place with 4 tables, very charming. We were greeted by a very friendly person whom explained the menu and took our order. Within minutes our food arrived. I was delighted and surprised to see the vibrant colors on my plate. Katsu was Hot, crispy and the sauce was amazing. Vegetables were very fresh and crisp. My guest liked the poke too! Very healthy and tasty vegan meal. Will be back to try other items in the menu.

    Avo-Veggie Sandwich & Katsu Curry

We had this vegan cafe bookmarked and were finally able to stop by today for lunch. Got their famous Katsu curry plate and an Avo-veggie sandwich both of which were great. The portions are also huuugeee and totally reflect their prices. Although we did want to try some desserts, we were stuffed from just the two entrees and had to skip it. Maybe we'll be back before our trip ends just for that ;) I also have to mention that all ingredients tasted fresh and delicious.. I'd totally recommend this place to all vegetarians/vegans to try out.

I always feel so nourished and light after eating here! Went in a group and everything was quite tasty, but I was particularly enamored with their very crispy tofu katsu served with Japanese style curry- so good! The bibimbap style bowl was solid but felt less spectacular than the other options. They also have yummy smoothies and some desserts as well, like raw vegan cheesecake :)

Finding peace... Love this cute and cozy spot right in Moili'ili as this vegan restaurants supports many specific types and having allergies myself knowing that is comforting and who doesn't want to have a meal without worries. Nothing is healthier than home cooked but when you're tired and just want to be take care of this place does offer many options from vegan, gluten free, soy free and even some sugar free desserts. Located right on South King Street right beside the Old Stadium Park they do have some parking shared with neighbor Chiang Mai though I was lucky enough to find street metered parking right in front. Waling into this cozy spot which is very small yet does provide a decent amount of seating from a large picnic table with a few smaller tables the decor with painted tree is very earthy green is quite crafty and cute which I do love making it unique in it's own way just like their menu items which has a lot going on with pics at the register of inure, mapo katsu. The single staff handling it all was very sweet and helpful as I was indecisive between Yakisoba and Noodle Salad and was told that those were favorite as well...hmmm so it was the salad because I love the various toppings it came with and it sure does! All packed tightly on top of the noodles which is thick and chewy cooked and cooled perfectly I loved it all the hijiki, carrots, red cabbage, moyashi, slice of tomato gave it the rainbow effect. You're able to order your sauce mild or spicy and spicy was just the right amount of heat that I love and ate it all up as my belly had found some peace. Thank you!

I saw my boss eating something from Peace Cafe at work one day and it looked super good so I had to go try! Honestly, I was very impressed. ***What I ordered ~ **Katsu Curry Tempeh (10/10) ~ This one is a MUST. Loved how crispy the tempeh was and if you dip it with the curry it gave it a nice spice! The rice they provided was this purple rice and it was nice and fluffy! Honestly, this comes pretty close to a Katsu Curry. I would totally get this again. **Moroccan Stew (8/10) ~ The stew kind of reminds me of a sweeter beef stew! Loved that the chick peas absorbs the stew flavor so every bite you get tastes like the stew. I wish I ordered a side of something with it! It's missing a "meat" component to it. But honestly really good! Overall, I would TOTALLY come back again. I really want to try their other dishes. But so far, totally in love with the tempeh Katsu Curry!

    Anything gluten free?

Yes, they have many gluten-free items.

Do the mochi brownie need to be refrigerated?

The longest I've let that go uneaten is 24 hours. It was fine till then. Past that I couldn't tell you. Good luck!

    Is the Katsu gluten-free?

Peace Cafe is offering "take out only" at this current time. I'm just greatly thankful that they're still in business and have not succumbed to the ongoing pandemic by closing their doors and going out of business.

    Are they on BiteSquad?

    Not anymore :(

Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. Great dinner...but if anyone is listening...bring back the shrimp and grits!!!

We came around 4PM and were surprised it was almost empty (but slowly it did get busier). Our food came with complimentary bread with guava sauce. It was really good! The bread is toasted, crispy, and buttery. Everyone in my party enjoyed it. We did not expect our food items to come in really large portions. I loved the chicken karaage! The batter was light and crispy with great flavors and had a yummy sauce drizzled on top. It also came with a scoop of rice, buttered corn, and Mac salad. Mac salad was delicious! Prime rib sandwich came with salad and au jus sauce and a side of salad. It's good but also very filling. I didn't try the burger or teriyaki chicken but was told both were delicious. After dinner, we ordered a few items from the bakery to eat on the plane. You have to take a number and wait for them to call it. I got 2 kouign Amannn, 2 Dubai coco puff, and half dozen green tea puff. The kouign amann is a circular croissant. I liked that it was soft and flaky and had a sweet, crispy glaze over it. The Dubai coco puff had a strong pistachio crunchy flavor but I thought it was way too sweet for me personally. The Star of the show are the green tea cream puffs! I would come back to just order that! The top filling tasted like a thick creamy brown butter green tea-flavored icing. The filling inside doesn't taste like brown butter and less thick but still really good. Overall, they had really good food and items from the bakery. Highly recommend the infamous green tea cream and chicken karaage dish! Customer service was quick and professional though I felt like our server wasn't that friendly lol.
