My name is Marilyn my husband was Michael King. He passed away at Regence 7/11/2024. He was there 2…read morewks. He was admitted there as a hospice patient. About 5 days after he was admitted, I was told by a staff member that the administration and certain staff do not like to have them as patients. This was very concerning to our family. We were paying a huge amount of money to provide him with the care and compassion he should have received. He had IPF and was on 24 hr oxygen. He had two very compassionate and kind nurses aides, a young male Indian or Pakastani and a gal around 50. He had an asian appearing female nurse in maybe her 50's or 60's who was on the afternoon shift. She was uncaring, rude at times belligerent. He had a catheter and was being awakened at 5:00 AM to empty it. I asked if it could be done a little later as he couldn't sleep. She told me "Well I guess we can just not do it at all ". Other times when I was there she administered a nose solution and brutally shoved it up his nose, he at some point didn't want her near him. She did not follow Hospice drug protocol in his medications. Did it how and when she wanted too. My husband several days before he died was bleeding profusely into his catheter bag. I asked for a Dr. to see him and was told it was not possible. At one time when I was there he was having extreme difficulty breathing, we pressed the call button, nobody responded, I went and checked it, it had a huge crimp in it caused by a nurse who had changed it awhile earlier and failed to notice it. I understand that those there for rehab receive excellent care, my husband who was dying did not, except for a few very kind, compassionate staff.

She was there for rehab for a broken arm after a fall, stayed in bed for days because of "not enough staff to get everyone up." I went in to visit in the afternoon, her breakfast tray was beside her bed, untouched, she was laying in a wet bed, almost unresponsive, incoherent. I asked them to send her to Providence, they said she just needed to drink more water. I called 911 and had her sent to Prov. The ER doc told the nurse to give her narcan, she immediately woke up. For the most part, all the doctors that we've seen have been amazing, the exceptions being a few times that my children's visits were not recorded correctly and still have yet to be fixed even though I still have the documentation from those visits. Before they became Stay Well Family Medicine and moved to Colby, they were on Broadway and their support staff were always warm and friendly, responsive to patient questions and concerns, and proactive at problem-solving any issues brought to their attention. Now, however, since they've become Stay Well Family Medicine, their support staff leaves an immense amount of quality customer service to be desired. Case in point: I logged into our patient portal through Charm yesterday to double check my children's appointment times for their well-child checks, and noticed that my daughter's name was spelled incorrectly, and it was not reflecting that she's been seen since 2019. So I called, which happened to be after hours, and left a voicemail with my concerns, asking about the issue that I noticed. I received a call back today from their front desk lady, I don't recall her name. But by the sound of her voice, she's the regular receptionist for them. She let me know that on her side she can see that my daughter has an appointment and wasn't sure why I can't see it on my side and proceeded to tell me that I need to call Charm to ask them why. I respectfully voiced my concern about asking the patient to call on an issue that has to do with their tech since I've worked at a health clinic before it is never the patient's responsibility to call tech-support to ask about a tech issue, that it is the clinic's responsibility to do (please bare in mind, I was truly kind, not just a perspective thing: calm voice, kind words, didn't raise my tone. Since I've been on the other side, I get communication with a disgruntled patient/parent can be challenging, so I was as gentle as I could be with my concerns). I acknowledged to her that I understand it's not her fault but I would request that they look into it please and let me know what's going on - if there was some kind of an issue with the records not being uploaded into my daughters chart. I voiced concern about not seeing her records and that s been an issue in the past too. I didn't even get the chance to ask her about the spelling of the name before the receptionist cut me off saying it wasn't their job to do it and passed me off to a doctor because she got so frustrated with the conversation with me. I then spoke to Dr. blow who looked into it - turns out it was the spelling of my daughter's name. Dr Blow sent me a new link to get the problem fixed, which was thankfully an easy resolution. I thanked her and said I appreciate that she helped me problem solve through it. and also attempted to acknowledge again that I understood it wasn't her receptionist's fault this happened, however I don't feel that it was my responsibility to have to call Charm to fix it. Dr Blow then proceeded to snap at me that "not everybody has the same tech talents as other people and so it doesn't fall to them to problem solve tech-support, that's the patient's responsibility" and then she wouldn't even let me talk after that and said "well, we'll see you next Tuesday. Thanks so much for calling. Have a great day, bye." I was dumbfounded. Unfortunately even though we love the doctor that we normally see, Dr. Sambrano, and have been seeing her for several years now, based on this experience, which has been horrible, it seems like we're going to end up having to find a different naturopathic clinic to go to. If they can fix their customer service Issues this would be a great clinic to be seen at. Sadly, with the current way they're treating patients, I can't recommend it any longer to family and friends.

I have been going here for six years and I hope I never have to go anywhere else. I have very complex health needs and I always know I will be treated kindly and with respect by everybody here -- doctors, nurses, staff, lab technicians, everybody. The integration with my specialists is terrific. I feel like my entire care team here and at the rest of UW are connected and can help in treating me holistically, not just looking at numbers and stats.

I came in for my wellness check and…read moreto establish care and it was very basic which is fine, they do only what is the on the list for your age and gender but the reason for the rating is a couple of things. Do NOT ever let them record you for their notes because those notes and imformation can be seen by the billing department so not sure how they can violate Hepa but everyone does. Also, if the doctor asks you a question or notices something they just randomly mark it down as a diagnosis and then they bill you more as complex. For example, if you have acne but you came in for another reason and the doctor asks if you have acne and you say - I don't want to be treated for it - literally you say that, they can then write down a diagnosis of acne in your chart and charge you more for the visit. I don't think if the doctor notices something like that which you don't want to be treated for that they have the right to diagnose you without telling you. Make sure if you get asked to tell them that you don't want a "diagnosis". I feel like they are looking for diagnoses to make you complex case. I do not take any medications and have no chronic conditions but somehow UW Med says I am "complex" but no other doctor's practice has ever said that. Be very aware of what you say and what they write down is my recommendation.
