I loved being at pine ridge post acute in Edmonds. I really did...i liked the physical therapists…read moreand the occupational therapists. They were all very good at what they do. I wasn't crazy about the food there, although from time to time there was some good food. Not very often but I don't think that is a huge downfall for the skilled nursing facility. You can always order food in, right? I loved the LPNs that were there, particularly Kayla and Bogale, who always treated me with kindness and a professionalism that was beyond great. I would go back there. If I had to.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! It may be a beautiful facility and look clean; however, the care and the…read morefood are terrible. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO SEND A LOVED ONE IF THEY NEED WOUND CARE OR OSTOMY CARE! I toured the facility before moving my grandma there, and they assured me that they had adequate staffing, great wound care, and were knowledgeable about ileostomies. This turned out to be completely false! I had to come and care for her many times due to their incompetence when it came to adhering the ostomy bag. I also had to purchase several medical supplies needed for it because they said that they could not get them. There is no excuse for this! It is all covered and supplied through her insurance. They would not regularly empty the bag as required, and it would constantly leak. Because they were doing it incorrectly, they were changing it up to 5 times a day, which is unheard of! An ostomy bag holds, on average, for 3 to 5 days when it is done correctly and emptied on schedule. Her wound stayed infected the entire time she was there and grew in size. It became so bad that when we left the facility, her doctor had to make it larger and start a wound vac. One staff member even swatted at my grandma's hand when they were changing her ostomy, and my grandma wanted to help. They were accusing my grandma of "fiddling with it" and causing it to leak. I really should have reported this facility to the state, but I did not have the time or energy. I hope our experience will help others find a better place for their loved one, and that this facility will take a good, long look at what is going on with the care they provide and make changes. I hope they will be honest with themselves and others when they consider accepting patients who need this type of care. I will commend the therapy staff. The only thing this place has going for them is great physical, occupational, and speech therapy. So if that is all you need, it might be an okay fit for you, but be aware of the nursing staff.

He's had occupational therapists and physical therapy (riding a stationary bike for 15 minutes a day) which are worth mentioning because they are the only services he's received. We told the staff we needed stairs work but they brought in a block to work with so we're not impressed. His occupational therapist also expressed his racist views, he will be reported. The food has been terrible and he's not eating and he's losing weight which they keep commenting on. When I visited last week, I was greeted with "You can't come in" which I know, I was dropping off a couple of comfort items. I know that these places are on lock down but the attitude wasn't needed. So, not sure where the quality facilities are but this isn't it.

My grandma just started her (temporary) stay here for injury rehabilitation. The whole idea is that…read moreby staying in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), she will get more PT sessions in per day, and thus her recovery will get a good starting boost. I'm writing this review on her behalf. She isn't a fan of the food, but understands that it's temporary for her. What's REALLY concerning is: - She says this SNF is very, very dirty. - She says it smells like urine throughout. - She needs to be up and moving as much as possible. After her (presumed) first walk of the day, she asked to get up and do it again in a few hours. The response was that it wasn't possible, the staff "were too busy for that". Note -- her surgeon AND hospitalist emphasized that the point of a SNF was doing her exercise regimen 3x daily and having staff to help her improve her mobility at other times of day......... Hi there, ICC staff, have you read her doctor's notes and treatment plan? Are you planning to simply not follow that plan? I'm honestly really worried that my grandma's health will get worse in her stay here. If the staff can't be bothered even when the patient asks for assistance....... Will they bother to make sure the patient is using their incentive spirometer, so that their very high risk elderly patient doesn't get pneumonia? Will they bother to take care and measure an elderly diabetic patient's blood glucose? Will update this review after her stay is over. For my grandma's sake, I hope that that the impression so far is not truly what this place is like. Seriously hoping this turns out to be a fantastic SNF. Fingers crossed.

Most of the staff were very accommodating. However, because the doctor and nurse practitioner were unwilling to adjust his medication when he needed it, my husband has been hospitalized for a week. He developed huge water blisters and sores on his legs as a result of their negligence. At one time, he was left on the toilet for so long and the nurse did not respond to the call light, so he had to get up himself. There was constant urine on the bathroom floor because the equipment was old and inadequate. Many times there was noone in the halls or at the nurses station through the day. Wait times for a response to a call button many times exceeded an hour. It is only pure luck that he did not fall again undertheir poor care. The facility is old and outdated. The phone didn't work properly due to being old and dropped so many times. I had to bring in many things from home because they provided a bed and old nightstand period. We chose this place because we were told it was a 5 star facility with a doctor and nurse practitioner 7days a week. There was no doctor or nurse practitioner on site on the weekends. Be very careful if you place a loved one here. The staff is friendly and seem caring, but when you need real medical help, the doctor and nurse practitioner make the decisions. In my husband's case, their negligence caused him a week in the hospital.

Hospice transitions can be emotionally difficult, but the staff made the process gentle and seamless. What we found at this facility was another level of heartfelt care -- thanks to Tammy. The owner Gardner and care representative, Tammy cared for Mary with extraordinary devotion. She treated her not as a patient, but as someone she genuinely cherished. She understood Mary's needs instantly, offering comfort, presence, and kindness in every moment. Tammy created a peaceful environment where Mary felt safe and loved. What our family will never forget is that Tammy was with Mary during her final moments when we could not be there. Knowing that Mary was not alone -- that she was held, comforted, and cared for by someone who treated her like family -- is a gift beyond measure. Tammy's compassion brought us profound peace during one of the hardest moments of our lives. This sister facility provided exceptional hospice care, and Tammy's dedication made Mary's final days gentle and dignified. We are deeply grateful and recommend this home to any family seeking true compassion and humanity for their loved one.
