Great office and all the staff is very friendly. They have a great selection of magazines for the kids and the parents and they always have a fabulous fruit platter and danishes and bagels out for the patients and families. Dr. Katsura is very soft spoken but very friendly and is very informative. He will come out to the waiting room and ask my two little ones if they like their magazine selection and offers them fruit or danishes. I had an appointment with Dr. Katsura on 9/10/13. One big problem: I arrive at the office and the RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL receptionist says, "Dr. Katsura is in Japan, so you can't see him." She didn't even apologize for canceling the appointment (after I was already standing there)! Is it too much to ask for a 20 second phone call? It's as if they don't care about their clients/patients at all! Needless to say, I don't trust a man that can't keep his schedule in order (or that takes sporadic vacations to Japan) to work on my teeth. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to a friend. read more

Dr. Katsura and his staff made my 'brace' experience the best it could be. They were very attentive and supportive throughout the process. My case lasted 3 years. I enjoyed going to the office for my adjustments. Dr. K. and his staff are very friendly and show that they care about your needs, not just a paycheck. Highly recommended! This is a great office! My 12 yr-old just started 'phase 2' of her orthodontic regiment. Phase 1 involved creating space in her small mouth for the large teeth coming in. Dr. Nguyen did a great job explaining what she needed and why she would need two phases of treatment. Sure enough, after 12 months of treatment, my daughter finally had room in her mouth for the big teeth to come in. She also answered my many questions, and was prudent in delaying my 9 yr-old's treatment (he has the same small mouth issue). She has great orthodontic assistants, and the office is newly remodeled and clean. We have experienced very little wait time, even in busy times of the day. We also were able to set up a payment plan for the treatment that works with our budget with little hassle. My oldest daughter, now 18, also saw the former orthodontist in this office, Dr. Katsura. He was great and did a wonderful job. Dr. Nguyen honored his treatment plan and ensured that my daughter's retainers were kept up to date for no extra cost after she had wisdom teeth removed and her teeth started to move. read more

Dr. Katsura is leaving his practice. Sad to say with his mothers illness - he is going to Japan. We will miss his smiling face and welcoming disposition to all his patience. There is a new ortho in his place - Dr Nguyen, very quite person - not as outgoing as Dr Katsura - but Dr Katsura gave her high accolades on her resume. Dr. Nguyen is amazing!!!! My mom use to never smile with teeth because she was embarrassed about her teeth. My mom went to one orthodontist and they said since her roots were weak it was not recommended that she get braces, we went to Dr. Nguyen and with her expertise and guidance Dr.Nguyen let us know there may be a risk but we can slowly move the teeth so that it will minimize risk. My mom's dream is to have straight beautiful teeth so she moved forward with Dr. Nguyen. After 18 months my mom is now soooo happy and smiles showing her beautiful straight teeth everyday! Thank Dr.Nguyen for making my mom's dream come true!!! Highly recommend Bloom Orthodontics! Dr. Nguyen and her team are the best. I researched and met with several different orthodontists, the highest rated ones on yelp. But Bloom Orthodontics stood out for the following reasons: 1) Dr Thao gave me a flat price and committed to getting my teeth fixed, no matter how many refinements or how many visits. All the other orthodontists only committed to the first round of invisalign set and had different pricing if I needed to do further refinements. I liked Dr. Thao's commitment to fixing my teeth no matter how long or/and how many refinements it took. 2) Dr. Thao and her team are super friendly, kind, knowledgeable and people I actually looked forward to seeing at my appointments. 3) Dr. Thao has the latest and highest technology machines at her office. Seriously, I visited 5+ other offices who all claimed to be the best and Dr. Thao had the best technology. This is an amazing office. Friendly, informative, very affordable more so than the other offices I checked in the area. Very respectful of your time. Sometimes it can get busy but, its so pleasant there I don't mind the wait. Great friendships have developed in that waiting room. Relaxing over a nice cup of hot tea in a nice office with very friendly people, sets the tone for the rest of the day. I suppose I should say something about the quality. It couldn't be better, Dr. Katsura is a bit of a perfectionist so needless to say nothing but the best. He even uses the hawley retainers. Every office offers them but they charge more!!!. His is included at no extra charge. I guess that's why I can relax and enjoy this office so much. Like I said its amazing!!! read more

Dr Nguyen is very nice and informative. I was seen for a consultation, and she explained which options were available for me. I was also given pricing information for the three options that were available. The doctor also provided me time to ask her questions; as well as, gave me some things to think about before moving forward. Unfortunately, their office is closed on Saturdays. This would make it difficult for me to have visits (every 4 weeks) for maintenance over the course of the next 12 to 18 months. I don't think my employer would approve. read more

I made an appointment with this orthodontic company and was appalled by their practices. FIRST, you cannot meet with a patient and discuss their medical/dental history in a room with other patients and their families...well, they do that in a large room with others. I was told I needed braces (nothing more than that) by the orthodontist and I would be mailed an estimate for services. My estimate did not state anything about the services, type of braces, options, etc. It did state what my insurance company contracted fee was for 24 months (which seems funny, since I wore braces as a child and my bottoms are just a bit crooked). The estimate told me what my balance would be...the whole amount...even though my insurance company pays 50% of the contracted fee. I contacted the office manager (who signs her name on the estimate as "Susan"...no last name). She was rude and stated that all pertinent information about the estimate had to be discussed with the doctor and she obviously made a mistake on my balance due. I told her I wouldn't be using their services, as this appears to be "fraud" and I would be reporting this to HIPAA and the Dental Board...she hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER unless you scrutinize everything about them first. read more

This office is excellent for many reasons. First and foremost, Dr. Nguyen is so talented and knowledgeable. She knows exactly what is she doing. She has graduated from one of the best dentistry schools in the country which is USC. Her assistants, Priscilla and her friends, are nice and easy to deal with.
