I had to visit this dentist's office today to get my teeth cleaned which is owned by my dentist Dr. Tsibel. His other office in Bellflower where I normally attend is getting some repairs done. I was greeted with respect and professionalism by the staff at the front desk. Dr. Ampil conducted my teeth cleaning and she was phenomenal. She was gentle, kind, and very funny. She kept me laughing the entire time. My teeth felt so refreshed and they looked good after the procedure. I highly recommend this office if you can't wait until Bellflower repairs are done. 5 stars all around!!! Came to get my teeth whitening, cleaning, and my retainers. I received the best top notch service from my girl Debbie, Jimmy, and Augie. It was some glitches from their sister dentist , but everything worked out well and they made sure I got everything I needed!!! :) thank you Debbie and Jimmy!! Dr. Heidi and my hygienist Danica was phenomenal! My teeth cleaning process was very efficient and she made sure she got any little stains I had wiped away! And she was very personable, had some fun chit chat during the treatment and after she gave me my complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss! I love this dentist office so much. I have been to so many different dentists in my life time and this one is by far the best. I'm a little extra special sometimes because I have had some bad dental work done in the past. So I can be a little anxious. I'll tell you. You're going to feel special coming here. When you walk in the door, you are greeted by the sweetest staff. You never feel like a stranger there. Augie is the greatest. He greets you by name and with a warm smile. He has always helped me get appointments with the ones I request. He explains prices and guided me to get the best insurance for this clinic. Rosalynn is the best hygienist that I have ever had. I can tell a good one while I have my cleanings. She gets every tooth in such a methodical and precise way. She's fast but so thorough. When I have her, I know I'm in good hands and I walk out with the cleanest teeth in Long Beach. Dr. Morris is the best dentist I have ever had. He keeps me calm during procedures and is empathetic to my nerves. He provides the best care and doesn't try to do things that aren't needed for my teeth. Office has definitely gone downhill. It's quite unfortunate considering I've been going to them for about five years, but within the last year I have been unsatisfied. Wait times are up to 30 min after checking in, and they are slow. I have been given attitude after stating I didn't want to continue my treatment for ortho, and I hadn't received a call for when my final set of retainers were ready (as they told me they'd call me and didn't want to make an appointment for me). Ironically, they call me often to book my next cleaning, but I have stated multiple times I wouldn't be returning due to a new insurance change. Yes, little details here and there but ultimately enough for me to recognize and see the differences. The staff has changed almost entirely as well, and it isn't as comforting anymore. The only upside is Veronica (front office, answering phones) has been patient with me whenever I call to ask questions. read more

Never knew about this location. It's the temporary home for Bellflower Dental on Rosecrans. They seem to be under construction at the moment and not accepting too many patients at their original site. I was little hesitant about visiting another location until I noticed those lovely familiar faces among the staff. On July 19th I received the same awesome and unmatched service. Karissa (might be misspelling her name) was perfect on the X-rays. She took her time but worked in an efficient manner. I'm thankful she did because those X-rays are quite annoying. Trying to bite down on rubber that seems to block your tongue. Giselle (again, may be misspelling) did a wonderful job filling my cavities. She didn't rush and made sure she kept checking her work. My bite is good. Her hard work paid off. I even had my work done by a dentist I had never met before by the name of Christopher Doane. It's one thing to know how to do the work but it's another to be able to show empathy towards your patient and to walk them through any pain from the work that needs to be done. For an example the needle pinch you feel while having your gums numbed for fillings or to have a tooth pulled. The quality of work by this dental group is beyond compare. What I appreciate too is that they allow you to make the decision as to what parts of the work you would like to be done that day and when you would like to return to get the rest done. So on I had my fillings filled on the left side done along with the wisdom pulled. Came back today, July 26th to check on the gum spot from where the tooth was pulled. Doane did a wonderful job. Healed up perfectly. Closed wound. No infections. So he proceeded with doing my fillings on the right side. Again, compassionate and efficient. Actually it felt a little better this time. Maybe because I was expecting it and I brought my earbuds to drown out the sound of the drill. I hate that thing!!!! read more

I I'm writing this review to warn other families about the unprofessional and unfair practices at Long Beach Family Dental Office. My son, who has free government insurance (Medi-Cal), went in for a routine dental appointment. They actually charged my son for services that should have been fully covered by his insurance. When I questioned the charge, both the office manager and the receptionist were extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of explaining the situation or correcting the error, they talked down to me, acted as if I didn't understand the process, and refused to acknowledge their mistake. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable--especially from a dental office that's supposed to serve families who rely on programs like Medi-Cal. No family should have to deal with being overcharged AND treated with disrespect. It's already challenging enough to navigate the healthcare system without being taken advantage of by clinics that know better. If you or your family use government insurance, I strongly advise you to double-check everything and stand your ground. I've been a patient since 2023 and quite frankly I was extremely nervous because of bad experiences and I also knew I needed a lot of work done. From the very first appointment, walking into the office, everyone was surprisingly friendly and welcoming. Super helpful. It put me at ease due to disappointing experiences at other dental offices. Every visit my comfort and trust grew for them. Everyone greeted me by name, felt like I was part of the team. Jimmy, Augie, Debbie and Rosaline (hygienist) always made me feel extra special because of how much they remembered me. Seeing Dr, Sami, who sadly doesn't work there anymore, he was kind and reassuring especially sensing the nerves I had. Shortly after I started seeing Dr. McClendon for ortho. He is extremely patient and always had such a soft, gentle tone when greeting you. I trusted his every guidance throughout my process and I love the smile I have now. Very scammy, went in and I was told I had 5 brand new cavities and was in need of a cleaning. I have medi-cal which covers cleanings, yet they told me i had to pay out of pocket as it wasn't covered? I never went back and went to another dentist for a second opinion as I did not believe it was possible to get 5 NEW CAVITIES in the timespan of my last visit. I was correct and a new dentist confirmed i had no cavities, just 2 fillings that needed to be fixed. This place still charged my medi-cal for the cleaning that they supposedly didn't cover so i wasn't able to get my biannual cleaning from my new dentist. My new favorite dentist!! They have Saturday appointments available and they can schedule you to come in quick no waiting weeks for an appt. I had a good experience with the staff too I kept missing their calls and they texted me which was easier for me with my busy schedule with my kids... they were able to reschedule me and when I arrived I didn't have to wait they got me right in for x rays and to see the dentist.... I Spent thousands of dollars here. This manager Auggie, was Very unprofessional. There's been an issue with them overcharging me for my dental work for the past year. There's an issue with transparency when it comes to billing and miscommunication between the office and my insurance. However, the manager should have taken the steps to sort out my coverage amount. It's called preauthorization. This office actually owes me $$$ But they won't tell you, unless you figure it out yourself. The manager was nice, but when I voiced my concerns he acted very arrogant, unprofessional, and rude. He told me that they don't have to bill my insurance company, its a courtesy, and I could always bill the insurance company myself. YOU have a whole billing dept for that! Then he said most dental offices don't even accept dental insurance! I have PPO insurance and most offices- Do take my insurance. I am also paying for a service! There's a reason you have a billing Dept and people working the front desk. Dentistry also has a customer service aspect to it. If you don't know how to be professional, you will lose customers. I will NEVER get dental work done from this office again. Every tooth I had a filling done on ended up needing a root canal, as a result, I spend a lot of $$$ here out of pocket. Then to have such unprofessionalism from the manager- No thanks! The name of the office is similar to another location that has great reviews so double check the name. I scheduled an emergency dental appointment and this place was able to see me the next day. The dentist Jake was so nice and took the time to explain any procedures to me and what was going on with my emergency. He was very reassuring even when I was scared to get my tooth extracted! I have years of dental work to catch up on and quite the extensive treatment plan. I had some complicated health issues that caused damage to all of my teeth after so many years. After seeing a dentist in south Orange County and realizing the cost of the work I needed, I became extremely concerned that I would never be able to afford proper and further prevenative care. I was recommended this office through a program I contacted and have been highly impressed since the first conversation via telephone. From the young man who handles all insurance matters/scheduling logistics, the concierge crew and all the way to each and every dental assistant...the staff is incredible. It is a fast paced and busy office and Dr.Heidi and Dr. Jake are incredible at managing their patients care. Each doctor is honest, empathetic and practices with such integrity. I have received work performed by both specialist and I have been so cautiously and compassionately cared for. I am almost halfway done with my treatment and feel so excited to finish the rest. As far as finances are concerned, they breakdown each and every penny based on the care of each tooth and procedure needed. My total cost is HALF of what I was quoted prior and I have been given great options to pay monthly, overtime. I am beyond grateful for this team and the opportunity they have specifically designed to support the present and future of my dental and oral health. Ok where do I begin?!... It's been a good 4/5 years since I've had a cleaning due to covid and having toddlers. I wa so nervous coming in one to see the extent of everything and two to empty my wallet. I left today feeling so good! !!!!!!!SCAM!!!!! !!!!!!SCAM!!!!! !!!!!SCAM!!!!!! REALLY WISH I READ REVIEWS OF THIS PLACE BEFORE GOING! I've been living in CA a few years now but don't have a primary or family dentist in the area so I figured I would go in for a cleaning at a local dentist, seeing how this one is the closest to my house, I scheduled an appointment... When I I first went in, which was about a year ago, they opted me to get X-rays Bc it had been a few years, (I haven't had a cavity in over a decade so wasn't too concerned) but we proceeded with the x-rays... They told me they saw 5 cavities and STRONGLY advised that I get a deep cleaning, costing 1200 for the 5 fillings and 1000 for the deep cleaning. I scheduled a follow up to take care of the the "cavities" before they got worse, so I had those done and told them I was gonna push off the deep cleaning...which they were not happy about. 6 months later (6 months ago) they called me again for a bi-annual cleaning, I regretfully scheduled another appointment; At this point they had not done anything wrong yet to my knowledge... When I sat in the dentist chair she took a look inside my mouth for 2 minutes and told me SHE SEES ANOTHER 5 CAVITIES that need to be filled. Seeing how I brush my teeth twice daily and floss every single night, I could not understand how I could possibly develope another 5 cavities in 6 months... they wanted to fill them and replace 2 crowns that I have that are from 2011. They typed up some estimate and handed me paperwork showing that it WILL COST 4200 FOR THE PROCEDURE!!! I decided to go back to my home town in Pennsylvania to visit my family dentist who I've basically gone to my whole life, to see what she thinks of what they told me. KEEP IN MIND THIS ENTIRE TIME IVE HAD NO TOOTHPAIN OR DISCOMFORT WHATSOEVER! MY FAMILY DENTIST TOLD ME THAT MY TEETH LOOKED GREAT, NO SIGNS OF anything wrong. No signs of plaque, tartar, cavities or gingivitis, but she advised we do xrays so we can know for sure. THE X-RAYS CAME BACK SHOWING THAT I HAD NO CAVITIES IN NY MOUTH AND MY CROWNS ARE PERFECTLY FINE!!! IM ALMOST POSITIVE THIS WAS THE SAME CASE WHEN I WENT A YEAR AGO AND GOT 5 FILLINGS AND PAID 1200 DOLLARS FOR THEM TO DRILL AROUND IN NY MOUTH DOING GOD KNOWS WHAT THIS PLACE IS A HUGE SCAM!
