Do not go to this dentistry. Dr. Rassouli made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Not sure if it was just me or he does this to everybody but arguing with me? His assistant I think her name was Mimi was just standing there and not doing anything about it. I paid for a teeth whitening that Dr. Rassouli refused to give me due to needing a cleaning. I did the cleaning and then they find more things that I need, and then more and then more. It's all a money game. I made it clear to Dr. Rassouli I had no time or it wasn't in the budget to get all of these things done in a short period. He went ahead and said he could not do my teeth whitening for me today. I understand but this could've been a phone conversation knowing they had my information saved here and could look up my history of last cleaning etc. I have gone to another dentistry my whole life but this one is by far the worst I have ever gone to. I have never had a grown "professional" man argue with a client and make them feel so uncomfortable. I wanted to run out of there from how he was making me feel and how he was raising his voice. Talking down to me. The worst part is he said "let me just give you the $100 for the whitening, stay right here and I'll go to my bank and give it to you." It was his demeanor and tone of voice. Excuse me? So rude. My time was truly wasted here, I will not be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone. I would like a refund but happy to get in contact with the third party I bought it because him making me feel bad saying he'll just go to the bank or asking Mimi to give me $100? So awkward. Not okay. Not okay. I can already expect a reply back on here saying this is incorrect or miscommunication. I can assure anyone reading this, you can't make this kinda stuff up. I want to preface this review by saying I've always liked the dentist, and have never been one of those people who hates going. With that said, it had been a WHILE. I had neglected going ever since moving to the LA area (in 2013 oops), but finally my retainers broke, and I was forced to find someone who could help. This little dentist office is the best. From the sweet (and highly energetic) front desk admin, to the personable hygienists, to the talented and kind doctor himself, I feel like I have a group of new best friends! They are so nice, they never make you feel pressured to do anything, and they check in and make sure you're comfortable (literally they gave me a blanket during my treatment)! While I went to simply get my wire retainers replaced, I've now received 3 fillings and a deep cleaning, and will be going back for 2 more next week! Let's ignore what that says about my dental health, and focus on what that says about their staff :) They're really awesome and will also fight your insurance to make sure you get as much of the treatment covered as possible. I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Rassouli and his team! I love that they gave me multiple solutions of different price options to help me get to my end result. In addition, they explained every step of the way what they'll be doing and in between sessions ask if I'm still doing fine. I also enjoy that they didn't have any hidden prices and worked with my budget and still have the same result! I came in to get new retainers since my current retainers are 15 years old and teeth whitening treatment. And I started to question about how much would it be to fix one tooth because I had one tooth that is slightly slanted from the original orthodontic before getting new retainers. Since it was within my budget and thinking long term, might as well get it done now. So, I got Invisalign for one tooth that was slanted and the procedure took 7 weeks to fix which was great! I came to see Dr. Rassouli last week for pain. I was new in town and needed a new dentist. I take days or weeks to try and find a new dentist because I have anxiety and also see a lot of reviews on Yelp where they overcharge, add on lots of extra work you don't need, office staff is rude, or the Dentist is abrupt and rude. Well, I hit the jackpot with Dr. Rassoli. It pays to do your research! He took his time with me, even though it made him late to go home, explained things well, and asked LOTS of questions from the questionnaire that I filled out. I think so many Drs. don't even pay attention to that, so I was very pleased that he was involved. I needed an Endodontist right away, so he recommended one to me that I went to the very next day. He answered the call from the Endodontist when I was there, right away and we got things squared away quickly. Dr. Rassouli is amazing! I had an issue with a previous round of Invisalign from another Doctor that did not work as it was supposed to and subsequently I was left with an incomplete round and leftover attachments. Dr. Rassouli came in and completely saved the day for me! He removed the old attachments and started my process over again. He has very modern scanning capabilities (as opposed to the old school impressions) which gives you such a more pleasant experience and obviously a better overall Invisalign fit. My teeth were a mess before I met Dr. Rassouli. I had a loose crown and my teeth needed cleaning. My previous dentist was too far for me so my friend referred Dr. Rassouli to me. I bought a Groupon about a year and a half ago to get Invisalign. I've wanted braces for years and found the opportunity to do so at Platinum Dental being that it would be $2,000 cheaper than not buying the Groupon. Yeah, it sounds like a risk considering I hadn't been there before but I did my research and everything was safe. Now, I look at my teeth and can not believe that they would look as good as they do! It's a huge difference, especially with flossing. My bottom ones were so crowded that the floss would get stuck in my teeth. I can floss now with out issues. Dr. Rassouli takes the time to make sure that they are right. He not only wants them to look and feel right, he makes sure that you are happy and comfortable with them as well, adjusting them as needed. I have had poor experiences in the past going to dental practices. I feel that a lot of them really try hard to sell you on expensive procedures that can be treated less expensively. Dr. Rassouli will explain your options and why it will help you in the long run. They do financing through Care Credit too if you can't shell out the $$$ for Invisalign. Monthly payments make it more manageable. Personally, having my teeth straightened is a total investment and image booster. I highly recommend Platinum Dental. I came into Dr. Rassoulis office with a coupon for a teeth whitening service that my mother got from her associate at work. My insurance hadn't been cleared yet for dental so I decided to check out this office. I set up my appointment and showed up on time. The doctor and his assistant showed me to my room and started to take X-rays of my teeth. The dental assistant screwed up on 3-4 teeth so I had to do EXTRA X-rays. Dr. Rassouli comes in and takes a look at my scans, and tells me that I have FOUR cavities and that I need to get them filled soon or else I would have to endure several root canals. I have only had 1 cavity in my life, so it was pretty hard to hear the news. He leaves, and the front desk girl comes in with a bill for 955$ that she almost forced me to sign, insisting that I MUST get my cavities filled with Dr. Rassouli. Knowing that I am without dental insurance, they pushed hard. I politely declined and decided to look for other opinions. As soon as my dental insurance cleared, I set up and appointment at my local dentist and she informed me that I have ZERO CAVITIES and that my teeth were SO clean that I had to have almost zero plaque removed. This piece of s*** dentist just tried to hustle me out of $1000 (mind you I am a 22 year old woman living on her own and paying her own rent). All smiles WITHOUT this dentist :) read more

I have been looking for a good dentist for years & stumbled upon Dr. Rassouli kind of by coincidence. There was a man passing by my work giving out info on multiple locations and I grabbed the brochure from him & i saw there was a Long Beach location. Thankfully! I had very bad luck with other places scamming me and saying I needed all this work done that was unnecessary according to a dentist in Mexico. I liked the dentist in Mexico but I just really did not want to drive there every visit. Once I found Dr. Rassouli's office I felt so comfortable and so happy with their work and customer service. They also said the same thing the dentist in Mexico said so i knew they weren't trying to scam me like the other place. I was nervous at first but they made me feel very pleasant. I broke my two front teeth as a pre-teen and have spent more time in and out of dental offices on both coasts for most of my life. I have been very self conscious about my smile and my teeth since I can remember. I finally decided to do something about it and found Platinum Dental through their Invisalign deal. I knew going in I was going to need more work that just the aligners because of my situation, but I was ready and Dr. A was incredibly knowledgable and honest about everything I would need to get to where I want to be. I had to have my wisdom teeth extracted and he did such a great job with that procedure (which I had heard nothing but horror stories from friends about) that I knew I was in excellent, caring hands not only with him, but with Dr. J and the rest of their staff, all of whom I've worked with at some point in the process. Over the last two years I've had every kind of procedure there - wisdom teeth extraction, replaced a cracked filling, teeth cleaning, whitening, Invisalign, and the crown jewel, two new front teeth caps (it had been 15 yrs.). I couldn't be more thrilled about the final outcome. My level of commitment with them is serious - I drive 35-40 minutes to the office from Hollywood! They are very helpful working with my schedule, they will work with you on payment plans with Care Credit, and I almost never wait to see them.
