The quality of their work is zero. The attitude is awful. I don't think they know how to smile. The price is very expensive for what they do. They charge you $10 only for polishing nails but they do not deduct if you don't want polish and the charge you $5 extra for buffing. Majority of my cuticle was left on my fingers and not cleaned. My nail and toe nails all are sharp because she didn't file them correctly. The bottom of my feet still has calluses. When you tell them to fix it they show attitude and talk their language and you know they are talking about you. One more thing that it will prevent me to go there again they want cash because they don't want to pay taxes on their sale. If you pay by credit card they charge you extra. The woman that did my nails was rude. She asked me three times why my cuticles are so bad, all three times I didn't give a response. She also filed my cuticles really hard causing one of my fingers to bleed. Then she sprayed it with alcohol (owwww) and then put some powder on top that turned black when it mixed with my blood. I went in for a shellac manicure and a pedicure Shellac was $30 and total it was $69. I got them done Friday 4/27 and by Sunday 4/30 My entire finger was chipped. I called and they said they will fix it but I left for vacation on Saturday for a week. The whole point of going there and getting shellac was so my nails would stay nice for the week long vacation. Pretty upset that I'm only one day in to vacation and my nail is completely chipped. I'm also disappointed that the pedicure was more expensive than my shellac manicure. I work nearby so I sometimes come to this place for lunch time manicures. I have been very happy with every manicure I receive here. I am kind of a nail snob so take my word for it. If you come here, you can relax and not worry about them shaping your nails badly or messing up your polish. They also have dryers in the stations so you can let your nails air dry without moving to a dryer. I would recommend. Note, I prefer the woman to do my nails here. I rarely write bad reviews. I made an appointment in advance but they seemed to be short staffed, which I understand happens. However, the woman who did my nails rushed through it, and as a result, I left with raw cuticles on a few of my fingers, super glue lodged up under and around most of my nails. I asked for a full gel set and got acrylics with a thick layer of gel over top. They were super tight on my nails and Because of that my nails have been sore since I got them done. The station was dirty. They were washing towels in one of the bowls that you put your feet in for pedicures. I do not recommend. read more

I have been coming here for pedicures for about 5 years, since it is across the street from my therapist's office. The prices have always been reasonable--$27 for a pedi-- and the pedicure chairs are the best around: comfy, big, clean. I have noticed over the past year that the quality of the pedicures has declined. While the chairs are the same, the time spent on a pedicure has cut down dramatically and the prices have continued to increase (sometimes $30, sometimes $40, and I can't ever tell why). The manicures have always been terrible, in my opinion. I just took my daughter on Friday and the manicure lasted about 10 minutes and they did a crappy job on applying the nail polish near the bottom of the nail. 2 stars because the space and staff is nice and they were able to accommodate a large bridal party. The nail job was terrible though. The man who did my nails did not take time to scrub my calluses at all and my feet hardly looked better after. My shellac manicure only lasted 3 days before it chipped. Please keep in mind that I regularly get my nails done at a different salon (I am not from the area) and my nails last 2-3 weeks. I am now 5 days out of my shellac manicure and it looks terrible and I will have to go pay to get it removed tomorrow. I am incredibly disappointed that I paid for such poor quality. I had my unvaccinated daughter wear a mask and requested that the nail lady (who was maskless) wear a mask to protect my unvaccinated daughter. This woman named "Nai" refused to wear a mask, admitted she herself is unvaccinated, and gave me so much attitude about my request for her to wear a mask it was unbelievable. She huffed and puffed and walked away mid pedicure for my daughter. I cannot even believe that for a request for customer comfort, this woman was so rude and inflexible. I get that masking is now a "political" issue for some reason (I am a physician myself so this whole debate about masks makes no sense from a scientific perspective), but the bottom line here is that for customer comfort this woman was so uncompromising and rude. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! I am honestly considering a trip to urgent care after spending money and time at this salon. I called ahead for an acrylic fill-in and was told to just walk in. i just moved to the bloomfield area and need to find a "home" salon. Mimi, the shorter older lady begins to do my nails and i ask her "may i please have an acrylic fill in stiletto shaped/sharp point?" (Mind you, my nails were already stiletto shaped but had rounded out due to wear, simple filing would do the trick) Mimi kept trying to get me to buy the more expensive gel instead of acrylic. i repeatedly told her no thanks. then, she puts SO MUCH primer (acid) on my nails that it felt as if she was holding a blow torch to my fingertips! After that, every movement was torture. She filed my nails even more round than they were when i arrived. Each file felt like stabbing in my fingers, but too late to turn back. Again, i asked for stiletto. Every time i spoke up she looked at me and kept filing away, rounder and uglier. At the end, she paints them, messed up twice, removed the polish and paints them again. they now have these little bubbles in them and it looks like crap! I've included a picture. 4 hours later and i can barely touch anything because the burning is still so bad! Don't go here. NOT WORTH IT! read more

I am so angry!!! I got a shellac manicure on Thursday (today is now Monday) and they looked so terrible right after I left. There are air bubbles in my nails and she didn't even cover my whole nail with the top coat. My nails started to chip after two days. This was my second time coming here and you're paying $37 for a shellac manicure, so you'd think they'd look amazing and last a while. My nail tech was incredibly rude and her and the lady working next to her were laughing at me and making rude comments to me because my eyebrows hadn't been done in a while (lol I've been lazy but still). They didn't seem thrilled to fix my chip. The location on telegraph is so much friendlier and better than the location on Woodward. Do not go see Sean unless you want to be barked at, yelled at, told your nails are all crooked because your fingers are crooked (???!), snapped at and generally treated badly. I've have been served by him on and off for years, mostly when I'm desperate to get my nails done and no one else is available. I always leave feeling abused and berated. He's extremely rude. I asked him specific questions and he ignored me, I asked again and he snaps "I do t know what you're talking about". I tried again and again was ignored. Wondering if I should ask him in Vietnamese because I'm pretty sure he's not short of hearing, it's just selective. Today I had a hangnail and very sore cuticle. I told him. Then I flinched and pulled back instinctively when he filed very hard at that nail and then he scolded me for not letting him file the nail. I was shocked. He did an awful job and when I pointed out he had painted half a nail and missed the side, he cut me off and snapped "yeah yeah yeah!". Wtf! I've never left a small tip and I almost left him nothing but I did leave a very small tip because I don't go to a customer service oriented business to be spoken to that way. I also had the same service I get at telegraph but somehow got charged $66 and not $50. My nails are shockingly bad.... thick and ugly. I just started coming back here for my acrylic fills and they do a good job, but they need to be more professional. I came in and asked for an acrylic fill with polish. My nail tech kept pressuring me to get the shellac as well. It's too expensive for me so I kept telling her no thank you (they didn't have the colors I wanted for shellac anyways). After 10 minutes of her nonstop pressuring me to get the shellac, I said fine just because it was making me uncomfortable that she was so persistent on it. I wish I spoke up because they colors didn't even match with the ones I picked out. I'll still come back here and give a good rating, because they do a great job and are fairly quick. But, please stop pressuring and nagging your customers to get the shellac, just so you can up-charge them. My total was $49 for the fill and shellac and I tipped her $13 because I always tip well, and to be fair she did a lovely job. Paying $54 isn't something I wanna do every 2 weeks when I can get a fill somewhere else for $25+tip read more

I've been coming here for years. It's five minutes from my house but I've noticed in the past two years it's gone completely down hill. I kept coming on and off out of connivence but after this last experience I am never coming back. My friend called two days before to make a reservation and ask if we could be seated together. When we arrived they put us across the room so we politely asked if we could sit next to each other and they rudely told us it couldn't be done because they were too busy. So fine whatever not the end of the world. Then my friend got dip powder which is around $50. She chose her swatch but I didn't get a chance to warn her that IT NEVER MATCHES. For some reason the dip powder swatches never show up like the one you choose. Once I wanted a light baby pink and ended up with Barbie pink with sparkles. Another time I wanted maroon for fall and got purple with sparkles. So my friend wanted an opaque white/gray color and it ended up see through like she had a French manicure. Which I realize these are pretty close but when you're paying upwards of $50 and have to wear it for 3-4 weeks it should be exactly the color you think you're getting. The time I had gotten the purple color, the top coat wasn't staying on so immediately in the salon it started falling off. They still charged me and told me to come back the next day which I did. They reapplied the top coat but it chipped all over again. I just kept applying regular topcoat at home every once in a while. Anyways I digress. This past time I got gel so the color was an exact match. The problem was that he applied so much around the nail bed that it stuck to my skin. It looked horrible and started chipping right away. On top of that they increased their prices so it was $37 for gel. When I pointed out how it was done, they were dismissive. My friend was upset by the color and she began to argue with my friend about how it was the same. I will never go back here. I've given them too many chances and I will be driving the extra fifteen minutes to make sure it's done right. read more
