We're in The County for our first ever weekend here and chose BPH for our first lunch. Amazing choice! Excellent selection of house made charcuterie, local cheeses, local wines and craft beers. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, bathrooms clean, and the food was really fresh and delicious!

Came here over the weekend with some friends as were were visiting PEC. Very nice atmosphere, chic interior and service was excellent. The downside is that the overall value for the price we paid, in my opinion wasn't worth it. My partner and I shared the 4 pc fried chicken that came with coleslaw and pickles and the daily homemade soup, came up to about $45 before tax. The chicken itself was a bit over fried and the plate was also full of oil which made me a bit uneasy. The pickles however was tossed in cumin which I thought was unique and delicious! I likely won't come back if I'm in the area again.

5 of us arrived at 11 am on a weekday for coffee and food. The sandwiches looked great and seemed like the perfect early lunch, except we weren't allowed to order them. If we wanted sandwiches, we had to eat them at the bar. That is difficult for 5 people who are meeting up and talking. To sit at a table, we had to order from the lunch menu which didn't have sandwiches or really much in the way of lunch items at all. The menu was more fancy dinner. We had soup and a chopped salad which was fine. The coffee was okay. To top it off, we were overcharged as their POS prices did not match the menu. In all, an odd inhospitable experience which will not lead us back there anytime soon.

I really really wanted to love this place. Visited on a Saturday night in September 2019. The outside and inside were so promising - like the branding, mural and industrial vibe. The service was great. But where it lost me - the food and drinks. The variety and quality of cocktails was just okay. So that's okay, I know not everyone either cares or wants to specialize in cocktails. But the food. Don't get me wrong - the seared scallops I had were delicious - but I would have considered as an appetizer. There were 3, on a bed of puréed cauliflower. For $27 this seemed a bit steep. It was listed as a main, but should have known when the waitress asked it "that was it". My friend ordered the smoked ham. It was literally just shaved COLD ham. Nothing else. I would have expected something to come with it. The waitress suggested some bread- so it was like she was eating a ham sandwich. The variety in the menu was also lacking - and again I get it's a small place trying to do the whole farm to table thing. I likely would not come back and and I didn't recommend to my friends that were heading to PEC last month either.

The first thing that really intrigued me was how affordable everything was. We sat on the patio and got the steak and ribs. I personally really liked the food, though it is something like "you get what you pay for". Obviously it's not some sort of high quality, high end restaurant, but I think the food is surprisingly delicious. Everything was cooked well, and came out relatively quickly. The servers were nice and attentive and they also make some pretty good drinks.

The waitress must have noticed our confusion because she asked if we were waiting for out friends. We stated that we were and she brought us down the hall to this second room which was very open and definitely had a more bar feel to it. We initially picked this place due to it's cheap prices and variety of food. Service was great! Despite only one lady being both the bartender and server she was friendly and attentive and had no problem with our big group. At one point one of the plates of food she was carrying out slipped and crashed onto the floor. She quickly replaced the meal and apologized to the person in our group who ordered it. The reaction to the food from the people in our group did very from it was ok to it was great. Everyone agreed it wasn't bad and that the service and drinks were great though. I ordered spiked pink lemonade drink, and Chicken fingers with medium sauce and fries with gravy on the side. I was initially worried the sauce would make the chicken fingers soggy but thankfully it didn't. The sauce was just the right mix of kick and flavor. The fries were great, similar to a new York style of fries and the gravy was delicious. My pink lemonade drink was awesome! For only $6 it was definitely a good choice. Tasted just like pink lemonade with just a hint of alcohol Overall if your looking for a cheap place to eat with delicious drinks and decent food, this place is worth checking out!
