I used to go there all time until now. The pedicures were so bad, not only did they give me an ingrown toenail, the entire nail was infected. To add insult to injury it also had a nail fungus, on the same toe! And there was fungus on another toe. When they re-opened 2 years ago, Pandemic, we all were sold our own emery boards and buffers, but after a while they stopped paying attention to that. This place has great prices! Regular mani pedis are 19$..... I got a gel manicure. No frills, but the place is small and very cute. Up to date decor and pedicure chairs. Looks clean here. Fyi everything was cool before I got cut and a started bleeding. The Asian lady said "sorry, sorry". It was cool people make mistakes but to be honest it's a big mistake to me. It stings too especially when she put anti bacterial alcohol. I got a medi/pedi. The cost of the whole thing for me was $28. I told the lady u can chrage me $28 but Ms. My foot is bleeding and it stings in my shoe. I was giving her a chance to make a customer service recovery but she continued to to charge me $28... I wont go there again... People make mistakes but try to make the experience a good one not a bad one... I feel like I was cut like I'm some nobody and I should be happy someone touched my feet... that's not right. Excellent manicures and pedicure! My mother and i both had our nails done. I had my nails done by the owner and she was very sweet and accommodating. It's right at the train station so it's very convenient as well. Will definitely be going back when I come to visit. I've been going to this nail salon for the past 7 years. Seven years ago, I moved to Kings Highway and E15th Street, and originally, I was going to King Nail which is right downstairs from my apartment. But, one day my acrylic nail broke (if you wear/used to wear acrylic nails, you know it's a dire situation) and King Nail was all booked up. I walked over to Blooming Nails and they fixed it for me and I liked the way Lily took care of it so quickly. She realized I only wanted to have that single nail fixed, so she did it quickly before taking he next customer. I've been going there ever since. I moved to Ditmas Park, and continue to schedule time after work to go all the way there to get my nails done. Once they get to know you, if you stop in for a broken nail or something, they won't even charge you - they just take care of you. They also recently did some improvements - more gel machines, and contrary to another review where they said there are no UV disinfecting ovens, there are actually are by the pedicure station in the shelves. I get a mani/pedi and eyebrows done for $39 (not including tip) - awesome! I would totally recommend this place for anyone. I will say they get pretty busy, so if you really want to get your nails done, you should always make an appointment. read more

Been coming here for years, actually 10 years+. In the interim, I have also visited nail salons (to try out their styles and technique). From salons in the upper east side manhattan to lower east side, even across the country and abroad. Wow - now that I am recapping had no idea that I have gone to many salons. I have also tried a very expensive Japanese nail salon that does AWESOME work but it is very expensive, almost $60 for one job. (sheesh). Meanwhile, I find myself coming back here quite a bit and over time I have established my preference with Blooming Nails. Best of all, they do not charge the Manhattan prices... I love the techniques, the gels, and the pedicures. Sometimes it can get so busy that they turn away customers... so best to book in advance! read more

Not recommended unless there is absolutely no other alternative. This is three blocks away from my house and very convenient, however the salon is dirty, packed with shady individuals (right by the train stop) hence there's always at least a 20 min wait and the workers are grumpy and clearly overworked...and boy, do they take their frustrations out on your nails. I have never left without at least a few of my fingers bleeding from a simple manicure and my mother, who got gel, got really cut up, even though she repeatedly told her lady to take it easy. The nails turned out terrible. She had to get them redone the next day. ALTERNATIVE TIP: I found King's Nails (a block away on East 15th between kings highway and Ave R) and this is now my go-to. Their place is renovated, spacious, they have a lot more workers on staff and I haven't had to wait once (been here 3 times). Oh, I almost forgot to mention the horrible HORRIBLE color selection at Blooming Nails. Tried up old colors of brands I've never heard of. read more

This nail salon is amazing I been coming here for over five years. Let start off my saying the owner Silva is amazing and all the ladies who work there rock. Anytime I come in they all greet me by name, say hi and ask me how I been. I go there religiously every two weeks I can walk in and ask for any one of the ladies and they all do an amazing job. I usually get a full set of tips or fill in, gel polish and pedicure and my tips never break my gel never chips. Best place in Brooklyn. Sometimes I would go with my friend to a different place and I hate the job on my nails and always regret not sticking with the best nail place in Brooklyn. Extremely rude owner and staff. Salon runs on an appointment only basis which as a client I can respect. However, as a salon they don't. Made appointments before only to have to wait 30-40 minutes to be seen and then have my nails rushed because they're running behind schedule. Got squeezed in before for an eyebrow wax without an appointment, but wish I wasn't. Rushed to such an extent that one eyebrow looked completely different from the other. I understand their location is prime and so they have a lot of clients but definitely considered quality or quantity has some importance when running a business, not here. read more

I'm pretty new to the neighborhood, and after one manicure I'm hooked. My nails look awesome, and the staff is super friendly. I'm a germaphobe and brought my own cuticle pusher and cutter, and Sylvia was super accommodating and used them without complaining (other places I've been to tried to convince me to use their things instead because they're not sharp enough, the right shape, etc). I have been going to BloomingNails on E 16th Street in Brooklyn for many years. During that time, I've had excellent manicures from all of the technicians, but my "go-to" is Sylvia. Her work is quick and sure, her manner professional, and her on-time record is unbeatable. She gives my nails exactly the look I want, and she is extremely knowledgeable about ways to repair stubborn imperfections (in the nails, not in the psyche, although she is one of the smartest, most insightful people I know. Bonus: she's funny.) The gel manicures last (and look great) for at least 10 - 14 days and are reasonably priced. Barbara L. P.S. Since this was the only place around here with decent reviews. I decided to give it a try. No one acknowledges you when you walk in. Their only system is they ask " who is next?" So you have to make sure no one skips you? Their equipment seem very unsanitary and I don't think I can over look it. My mani had bubbles in them. Yick.. i can't go back there. YES i know it's $16 for mani and pedi.. but I rather make a drive to bayridge for Suzy's nails $15 mani and pedi..They actually say Hi when you walk in, you get a brief hand and feet massage and even a shoulder massage when you go and dry you nails!.. was never disappointed. While there was only one review here, I decided that it's a good a sign as any to visit the salon. I've tried all other salons between West 5th and East 12th down Kings Highway in the past several years and am constantly disappointed. Not this time!!! I went in for a Shellac Mani and French Pedi a few days before my wedding day. Maybe she worked a little harder than usual after I told her my day was coming up, but by the line of customers on a Friday morning I doubt it. I moved to NJ (where I must say prices are outrageous) and every time I come to Brooklyn going to this salon is a MUST on my agenda. I went here for the first time today. I came on a Friday, with no appointment at around 1:30pm. They had a few clients, but I was taken right away by a nice lady named Karen. She gave me a manicure/pedicure ($19 - great price), and took her time with me which I appreciated. The only downs I have to say is that she didn't really scrub my foot with callouses that much (which was probably a mistake on my part, I should have told her to give it more attention) and was silent 95% of the time with me. Overall though, I had a pretty good experience. I'll be coming here again. read more

Well, this place is very unique. Instead of saying "Hello" they say "what you want?". This was my first time having a "manicure" there. I didn't have an appointment and I was ready to wait in the line, however this place wasn't as busy as I expected, so I got a master pretty quickly. Now I begin my story: tried to explain the master what I want, clear gel - easy, right? She didn't get that, but offered some other colors, so it was fine. She started doing the job, and then a woman came, she was a regular customer I guess, everyone seems to know her. She came to my master and asked her if she's available for manicure, she said "yes, right now". Wait, what? So I had to switch the master, he told me to dip my hands into the bowl of acetone so I did, there was really no other option. He stated scraping my nails and hurting the skin around. Ouch. He finished doing that and handed me to another woman, she tried to scrape the rest, but it was unsuccessful. I started getting worried, what will be next? I asked for regular nail polish, as I didn't want to damage my nails anymore. She did a hand massage and said "Done!". Wait, but where's was my manicure? I decided to pay $10 dollars and just leave with chunks of bottom layer of my previous manicure. Thanks a lot for an amazing experience, I will never come back. read more

I've been going here for as long as I could remember! The job they do on my mani and pedi is worth every penny! It is clean and friendly! The prices are very fair! And if you are a regular client sometimes they don't even charge for minor things like fixing a chipped or broken nail or when I bring in my nieces and they'll polish them for no charge at all!
