This spot has become my go-to local nail spot. It's tucked right near the corner of Nostrand and Ave J, covered in many stunning examples of the intricate nail art they provide. it's a very small shop run by a team of two - appointments DEFINITELY encouraged! in the 6 months I've been with them my natural nails have been cared for to grow past the length of my extra long acrylics! barring any extreme hand-usage (I work as a chef), I've never had a chip or crack on any of the dip sets i've gotten. I believe they took over this spot from a previous salon, and seeing them improve and add services since making it my bi-weekly destination is exciting. I've just broken a nail at work so i'm already planning my next visit when i have a day off!! They take photos of your hands after your manicure if you get an artsy set - it really adds to everything and ends a lovely experience. Definitely call ahead and stop in! read more

Some of the worst nails I've ever gotten. First of all they took 2 hours to soak off dip and replace them with new dip powder. It's been one week and they have already chipped on 4 nails. They did not match the color correctly to my nail bed for french so my nail bed looks white. Not to mention it was also 70 dollars plus tip for them to be ruined a week later. I had really high hopes for this place because of the pictures but I do not recommend it. Had to give at least two stars because the man doing my nails was very nice but the work did not reflect the price. read more

The energy was not there. The people felt lethargic. The service was mediocre. I showed them a design; and they said that they could match it, only for me to get something completely different, and definitely not what I was looking for. They still charged me the full price, despite my clear dissatisfaction. They seemed to care more about their bottom line than the quality of their work; not the vibe I look for in a nail spot. The polish quality isn't great, and overall I'm very disappointed, and would encourage people to seek service elsewhere! read more

If you need a super basic Mani/pedi this is the place. Very inexpensive, however you get what you pay for. My nails would've looked better if I did them myself. One technican had difficulty doing a straight square shape with my nail, she kept rounding the nail. Ultimately I took the nail file and shaped one of my hands myself. I asked them to clean around the nails after painting them to remove the excess nail polish. She used her finger nail and a stick which just further messed up my nails. She blames it on the fact that I didn't cut my cuticles, which has nothing to do with cleaning the edges. I just ended up leaving frustrated and cleaned up my nails at home. read more

Very small shop. I went in for a gel pedicure. It was decently priced however I had to ask for new tools. The guy who did my manicure took out a file that looks like they've been using it on everyone for years. I had to ask for a new one. The owner noticed and then gave him a new foot scrubber to use on me. They're very nice people, but they should use new files and sanitized tools on customers. read more

Great service and super friendly staff. The salon is very small with 2 pedicure chairs and 4 manicure seats. I will highly recommend getting a gel manicure from the owner, Song. She is so talented in her work and so skilled. She never disappoints me and i always leave with beautiful nails. I come here to get my eyebrows waxed and to get a gel manicure. At times the wait may be long but totally worth it. I would recommend making an appointment. I will highly recommend! read more

Love going here to get my nails done!! They are pricey but the end result is fabulous! There are always nice and friendly people who get there nails done there that you can talk to. The staff are friendly and do well on your nails. But if what I said so far doesn't make you want to go the MASSAGE alone should! I came to get a refill for my acrylics and I explained to the lady that's what I wanted and she said no problem that will be 30$; which was fine. I waited maybe fifteen minutes before being taken care of. Then the lady stated working on my nails and started making a mixture of nail glue, powder and clear nail polish as my refill. She saw the confused look on my face and explained that they don't do acrylics but the price will still be 30$. So I figured it ok I'll try something new. Once done she charged m 60$ for a manicure that started chipping the same day for no reason. With gel it shouldn't chip for at least a week. I was over charged for a manicure that should have lasted at least two weeks but only lasted one. DO NOT go there unless your getting a basic Mani Pedi or basic gel. DO NOT go there with your acrylics or tips. read more

I LOVE this spot!! Since I can easily do a simple mani/pedi at home, I usually judge a salon by how they pamper me. This place does not disappoint! Hot towels, scrubs and massages, and of course, a stellar mani/pedi. Plus, the prices are outstandingly cheap, and everyone who works there is incredibly kind and talented. My only disappointment would be that the nail polish selection is limited. This is a small place though, with only 2 pedicure chairs, and 4 manicure chairs, so it is understandable. read more

Best place to get a good pedicure for under 20 however to place is run down and the Asian lady always demand a tip which I don't have a problem but finish the job first smh... they are not up to date on current manicure and nail design techniques . read more

Great place for nails and waxing! My mother and I have been coming for years, and they always do a great job. The ladies who work there know all of their customers, many of which are regulars who come every week, and they always ask my mom how I'm doing when I don't come with her. They have a very wide range of colors and do really pretty nail designs. They also do gel nails, quick dry, and that nail polish that you put over a bright color that dries so it looks all cracked. They do waxing, and, in fact, the first time I ever got my eyebrows waxed was there. They're very good at their jobs and are always friendly, even to new customers. It's a family owned business, and the only downside is that they have thick Korean accents. I would definitely recommend Happy Nails to anyone. read more
