I was at this store recently and I saw some really nice scented candles that smelled just wonderful....and at less than $13 each, they were not a bad deal for the fabulous scent I got...these usually go for about $30-35 each. 2-11-22 Friday night Needed a new dress for a wedding so I came here. Truly tried and true the best choices for social occasion dresses. So they re-arranged the store since my last time here. All the dresses were to the back of the 2nd floor near the cafe. I guess they figured you want it bad enough you will hunt it down and that I did. Very quickly found several dresses to try on but only put this one on. The first one was too big so I had to go back and get a smaller size. Lucky me even after eating McDonald's today and can still fit in a small. Than I FaceTimed hubby who was home to get his opinion. He liked it also I think he was thrilled not to have had to come with me. So I went to the register to pay. The good news is that I am a Rewards Member and if I come back tomorrow I get $ 75. to spend on any thing I want in the store. I have 180 days to redeem. So why did they drop to a four star from a five that I gave them six years ago? That's because the Men's department is truly lacking. No shirts,ties or slippers for hubby so I had to shop somewhere else. read more

I came in to buy a specific from parfums de Marly for my birthday. A white Cuban woman at the counter was so damn rude that I left. The perfume I wanted was sold out and she refused to give me a sample of a perfume. She said she was all out but gave two older white women who arrived samples of the same perfume I asked for. Her attitude was so disgusting that I left. Why on earth would I spend $500 to buy perfume from a vile woman who would get commission off it? I never returned or bought the perfume. She only acknowledged me because a colleague of hers from a different counter introduced me. She turned me off completely. She did not treat the white guests the same and guess what - they didn't buy anything! They only lugged perfume sampl It's clear as day that this was under the impression that black people cannot afford such things. read more

I'm originally from a smaller city that does not have higher end retail, so I'm not as familiar with Bloomingdale's. I have been to the Aventura one and the one in Boca, but this one seems to carry higher end merchandise. A lot of the clothing is designer and higher end, which doesn't appeal as much to me. They also have premiere designer boutiques like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and more in this shop. I should point out that bigger retail establishments of these brands are also located in the mall. They do have a lot of nice formal dresses, so if you need something to wear to a formal event, this is a great place to check. Bring your bottomless bank account though! I enjoyed checking out the women's footwear department, so many beautiful designer shoes to check out. If you have money to drop on fragrances or high end makeup, this is your spot. The cosmetic section is HUGE here! It was fun to browse through this store, but I feel like I can get more for my money at other retailers. I'd pick Macy's over Bloomie's due to the better prices and good sales. I didn't spot too many clearance racks here, which is usually where I head when I enter a store. read more

The Bloomingdale's location in Aventura Mall has gone through a variety of phases in how good their selection is over the last 5-10 years. My partner and I frequent the men's clothing area and look through a variety of the sub departments. Over the last 5 years, it appears their selection has gone down and it's harder to find items at good sale prices. Also, the associates never approach you and seem to huddle amongst themselves. Bathrooms also seem to be dirty frequently, not sure if it's because it's a high traffic location or what. I still love going to explore this location, but there's things that need to be addressed in this location. read more

Today the store was a little bit in disarray. It seems whenever they have a sale this happens. Items are not put back where they belong and that can make it hard to find the size I'm looking for. I do really like the handbag Department. They have a lot of great Styles and a variety of price points which helps me find an appropriate bag for each occasion. I really like the way the story's arranged. It is pretty easy to find whatever brand you are looking for because signage is everywhere. I love the makeup Department because they have so many brands. I love their perfume selection because they have a wide assortment and you can try any of them you'd like on your skin. What I am not too thrilled with is the customer service. Sales people here are very pushy and it seems to be worse in the past few months. I don't like being hovered over and it is a big turn-off. I love coming here around the holidays to get those special gifts. This store has every designer you would possibly want. Many of the designers lease out their space but you can use your Bloomingdale's credit card to purchase. The store is laid out by designers so it's easy to navigate. Large selections of shoes and purses at high prices but with excellent quality. This store knows it's customers and caters to foreigners and people who want quality merchandise. The cosmetic counters offer all the prestigious products with a selection of fragrances. They have a nice fine jewelry department offering watches to diamond rings and everything in between. Upstairs you find houseware and bridal registry with the finest china and household necessities. Children's is also upstairs with the cutest and trendiest clothes or your little ones. I ordered gifts from the registry. found what I wanted and completed the order. it went to my payment and there was no place to put a gift note. I checkEd out and called customer service. I was told they couldn't do a gift note because the items were sent from the manufacture. I asked how the bride will know who it came from, she said they can call Bloomingdale's and ask them. in addition the three items will be sent separately. i asked to speak to a manager, she said that won't happen. Bloomingdale's is my favorite department store. They have higher end items than Macy's or Sears but the entire store is not all high end like Neiman Marcus. This particular Bloomingdale's is a nice size and they have a good diverse selection of all departments for both men and women's fashions. The east entrance is close to the multi level parking structure on the south side of mall which is nice if you want the shade. The fragrance and cosmetic area is really crowded, loud and busy. I try to avoid that area since I don't have any business there but it takes a significant portion of the first floor. read more

Great Bloomys! They have a large woman's selection- the shoes are great, and the handbags are great as well. Tory burch section is plentiful, which is important! If you head upstairs, you'll see a huuuuuuge clothing section! Great place for the following brands: Theory, James Perse, Joie, Aqua- biggest selection of Aqua i've ever seen!!, and many other great brands. They also have lots of sale racks to pick through, which is a win in my book. My experience with Bloomingdale throughout the years has been wonderful except for July 20 over the weekend previously I purchased a perfume from hermes' collection. The purchase was a total of $139 . when I returned home I had to unwrap the wrapping that Bloomingdale's puts around their products when you purchase them. So therefore the clear wrapping of the perfume box detached. I didn't open the box, I didn't use the perfume . when I searched online to see if there was another store with the same perfume at a lower price I was successful. So I decided to return the perfume I bought from Bloomingdales. When I arrived at the store I went to the exchange or return counter and the store associate seeing my perfume return and immediately told me she cannot give me a return at all because the clear wrapping around the box of perfume was torn in a very rude manner very nonchalant and non-caring upon my return she decided to refund my debit card partially. And never explain howThe refund process is going to go. It turned to a complete mess of a show to where I had to escalate to a supervisor in the funny thing about it the associate that assisted me I couldn't undo the mistake she has already caused. Moral of the story is every person is not meant to be in customer service in Bloomingdale should really look at who they're hiring especially how they treat someone that spends a lot of money with them on a regular basis read more

I went to Bloomingdale's in Aventura Mall, located in Aventura, Florida, which is just north of the City Of Miami. I was looking for a dress for my daughter's wedding. It was a joyful event shopping with both of my daughters. I went to Bloomingdale because I wanted something special. The store was basically empty of customers. I went up to a sales woman to ask her to point me towards the evening dress area. She said she would help me. What size did I need? I told her I needed a 14, maybe a 16 as evening dresses tend to run two sizes smaller than normal. she told me there was nothing in the store that size. She said she was going to look but that they only had size twos and fours. I said I would have to go shopping elsewhere then. This sales lady, then said not to bother looking because nothing was going to be bigger than a size 2 or 4 or in all of Aventura Mall. She gave me the option of trying on a size 2, and if I liked it, then she would order it in a larger size for me, if it was available. I said that was absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe that a sales person would talk to a customer that way. A good sales person would know that over 68% of American women are a size 16 or larger. The plus size industry is valued at over $288 billion this year, and expected to reach 550 billion by 2030. I wonder if her manager knows the sale that she just lost. Not only my sale, but for my mother as well. I was ready to spend upwards of $700 for a dress that day at Bloomingdale. But I left disgusted. My family would not let me home go until we had gone to the other shops to find the mother of the bride dress I was looking for. Absolutely no problem finding it everywhere else. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I went to return a rug at the rug department where I bought the rug from and they wouldn't take it back. Said I needed to mail it back directly to vendor in original packing. After explaining I didn't have that anymore. They refused to give me new packing material. Had to lug the 70 lb rug back to my home. Talked to customer service told me they would have someone come to my house and pack it, label it and return it. I was super happy. Then no one came. Called customer service again and they told yes we told you that but we can't do that. Been over 10 days. I still have rug and a "sympathetic" apology. I'll never shop at Bloomingdales again. This is a great store - most people get that. But do they know they have the very best breakfast and lunch in Aventura? I kid you not - tucked in the women's department on the second floor is a small restaurant. The food is incredibly fresh and healthy. They make the best brunch and egg dishes. The vegetable soup is incredible and the sandwiches are home runs. My kids love the chicken with the sweet potato fries. The service is - Bloomingdals, top notch. Shoes: 2 stars. There is no selection in the shoe department! I wanted to find something I liked so bad but the selection was sparse. Cosmetics: 4 stars Chanel cosmetics counter - go if you know what you want but I haven't had luck with the counter people suggesting products I actually like. The Location in Boca is much better at actually helping you find new products worth trying. I have gotten eye shadow applied here twice and both times they didn't listen to what I wanted or didn't understand what I wanted. I'm not picky but I can't really rock red eye shadow or sparkly purple eye shadow everyday. Dior counter: have had luck here with the girl working there. She was able to suggest great new products and when she was done applying makeup to me I felt it was actually beautiful and flattering. I feel like I always get good service at Dior in bloomies since I was 18 and now.. always a good experience and I leave with something fresh and new. Handbags: 2 stars. No selection at all! I find a lot of cute handbags online but this store is either picked over or just does not keep a full stock of handbags. Overall this is a solid bloomies but I am confused by the lack of selection in the shoes and handbags departments. read more

This is the best Bloomingdales in Miami-Dade county. That being said, the customer service is less than stellar. The female associates all wear little black bags--each of which must contain a cell phone, because many associates are on theirs constantly. It takes an act of God for someone to offer their assistance, and when they do it's probably going to be overbearing. Put your shoulder-pads on and prepare for some serious battle if you want to shop in peace. Merchandise selection is FANTASTIC, and the merchandising is artful. This location has the better selection (for most things) compared to the Falls location. On the flip side they are 10 times busier and Aventura can attract some rather tough people to deal with. I have dealt with Denio for the last couple years (though no longer in the men's suit department) for purchasing suits, trousers, dress shirts, ties, etc, as his service has been superb. He has contacted me for suit promotions, special ordered merchandise and followed up with any issues I may have come accrossed. Bloomingdales often has specials going on, I have had my share of deals here. Quality brands, good pricing, good selection. Would come here more often if it wasn't always so hectic on weekends. Also, as a side note, the tailoring jobs they have done have always been solid. And tailoring prices are quite fair. read more

The only times I would dare to venture into Bloomies is to check out their jean selection. A few years back flare jeans were in, I would purchase them at least once or every two month. Today I see the style is coming back once again. Also if you look hard enough you will see a few clearance racks i hiding with the regular prices clothes. As for customer service, pretty spotty. You will have some sales people that won't even bother to come up to you and then you have some. If you do have that helpful salesperson, they will assist in getting additional sizes for you while you are in the dressing room. The shop assistants are lazy, always chatting among themselves or hiding by the fitting rooms on their cell phone. I rarely get helped with sizes or anything else. So I walk in to exchange something I purchased online and was totally ignored by two sales associates talking gossiping and laughing, not once did they greet me or ask if I needed help. I went to to the back end where the fitness section is and was greeted by a gentleman, he took my clothes to the fighting room. I went back to the very front of the store and the same sales associates ( mixed young female with curly bun wearing all black and heavy set gentlemen with high pitched voice just kept talking , laughing and totally ignoring me even though I was standing right by them. I grab what I wanted and head back to the fitness section. The gentleman in the back never even thought to come and check on me instead he just stood outside talking and laughing with a co worker for like ever. I come out and he asked nonchalantly if I was ready to ring things up. He asked me how my day was and then ignored my answer and started going on and on about his Madonna tattoo. Sorry to say but he was poorly dressed and missing a button on his blazer, no cares or effort from this guy whatsoever. I spent over $400 on my shopping outing and was very disappointed in how I was treated. Usually the ladies in the front are so courteous and helpful, they weren't there that day. It's seems as some of the employees there are jealous and hateful, but when the opportunity to make money presents itself to them, they don't want to do nothing. read more

I have been shopping at Bloomingdale's for a long while now, and there is a wonderful and helpful employee named Lema on the second floor who provides amazing service and is very friendly and nice to her customers. She has helped me multiple times and I can say that she is simply amazing. She makes sure that her customers' needs are met and does not make anyone leave without a smile on their face. I was shopping last minute and I needed Christmas presents and had no clue what to buy, I gave the sales associate a budget and within 30 minutes my shopping was done. I just got home from a [necessary] outing to Bloomies in Aventura mall. What a waste of a morning. A gentleman friend of mine bought me some clothes from the Bloomingdales in Palm Beach. Very sweet. But the clothes were all size 3X. Not my size. I live in Miami and took them to Aventura for an exchange. I purposely went early, arriving around 10:15 am so I could get immediate assistance. The sales assistant named Jean in the ladies denim Dept on the 2nd floor acted as if I were a big annoyance when I told her I needed an exchange. She pointed vaguely and told me I should take the items to the work out section for help. "But these items are from the denim department," I explained to her. "Can't you help me find these items? It's a little overwhelming in here with so many brands. I don't know where to find these things." Instead of taking me to the section where these items were located, she took me to a much more expensive brand's area and tried to upsell me on similar but wildly more expensive items!! She said I would have to make up the difference In cost for those items. I told her I didn't plan to spend any money exchanging something that had been a gift and she became huffy with me, rolling her eyes and communicating through her negative facial expressions, body language and tone of voice. Once I refused to be up sold on my exchange she revealed that the Aventura store did not even carry the brand I was looking to exchange! And that I would have to go all the way to Palm Beach to do so. I asked if there was a better solution, since I don't really like shopping and get overwhelmed easily in large stores, and didn't plan on spending an entire day plus tank of gas to drive to PB just to exchange these clothes. She offered no solutions, continuing to act in a negative, off-putting and verbally combative manner. So I offered a solution: just give me a gift card for the value of the items. She seemed to have great difficulty in doing this very simple thing, even requesting assistance from a senior colleague because one of the items wouldn't ring up. The senior colleague instructed her to manually add the item to the refund on the gift card, but she refused to do so once we were alone again (no longer in the presence of the senior associate) and when I asked her about why she wasn't adding the item she gave me some excuse. Each time she asked me about where I bought the items or where was my receipt, I reiterated that these things had been a gift, and while I did not have a receipt I did have the business card of the sales associate from the Palm Beach store who had assisted my friend in purchasing these items. While Jean was having trouble ringing up the items onto the refund/gift card, I offered her the card with the associates name and contact info on it. Her response was basically, "What do you expect me to do with this?" Accompanied by a sneering facial expression and again a negative tone of voice and body language. And all the time she was treating me as if I were suspicious, or had stolen these things, and that dealing with me was nothing but trouble and she couldn't wait to be rid of me. The price of the items was as follows: jean jacket $128+change, green top $84+change, Spanx stockings $32.00. Yet the gift card she gave me only had a value of $131+change, and the spanx was not even added to the card because she refused to follow the senior associate's instruction to add it manually. 128+84 adds up to $212,not $131. These items were purchased 3 days ago! Not last season. By the time the card was processed I had all but given up and just couldn't wait to get away from Jean. I had started out excited, thinking I would exchange my oversized gifts for something cute... only to walk away feeling like I had been kicked. *As if that entire experience weren't bad enough, I took my giftcard to the makeup counter hoping to salvage the experience by picking up some nice makeup, which I ordinarily would not splurge on. As I approached the Bobbi Brown makeup counter a sales associate stood there coughing directly into her hand and then reached out towards me to ask if she could help me find anything. Aghhhh! Yuck, gross, and disgusting! I asked her if there was someone from Bobbi Brown who could help me find a foundation, and she replied that while she was the rep for NARS, she would be glad to help me. Then she began touching (gagging as I think about it) the tissues and spatulas, etc that the ladies use while they test colors on a customer. I directly stated to her that she had just coughed into her hand and was now contaminating everything she touched, and that I would not let her assist me because she hadn't washed her hands. Her attitude was so snotty in response that I just turned and walked out. Wow. Wow. Wow. I'm a business owner and I just can't wrap my mind around how any company can allow its associates to behave this way. If I treated my customers like this I would be out of business. read more
